Hi.
have 2 RX480 Nitro+ 8GB OC
If i use one Card will get about  30MHs
If i use both Cards will get about 28 MHs per Card

Why???

My other Problem:

Conf:
-tt 60
-cclock 1050
-mclock 2200

one Card starts with these Settings and the other one blocks.
When i delete -cclock 1050 both card starts.
But if i set cclock with Trixx 3.0 also both Card starts

Any Idea?

I've had lots of problems using --cclock and --mclock options. I'm currently using WattTool to adjust the settings and the miner now runs perfectly stable.

How you put 6 carda in one psu of 850w ?? And what clock you put to do 29.4 mh/s ?

You recommed rx470 instead rx480?
Your rx470 is sapphire nitRO 4gb? ?

Thanks
Almir

There is a small difference between RX470 / RX480 both in performance and in power usage.
IMO RX480 is only interesting if you can have it for less than 10% more than RX470.

With my RX470 i get about 29.4 Mhs for about 120W each (actually if you take into account PSU efficiency and system draw, you get about 140W/card : 850W at the wall for a 6 GPU miner). Although the numbers are not bad, it's not that optimized so i guess some people can achieve more hashes with better efficiency.

I think you should be able to achieve a little bit more with the RX480 depending on how you flash your BIOS and tune your GPU.

Im have two sapphire rx470 and im use claymore.tô miner eth

Im get speed of 55.5 with two cards

A value of 27.5 for each

If im purchase rx480 nitro of 4gb ?
Im can get more than 30 mh/s ??

Obs : what is the power usage of rx480 nitro with more than 30mh/s ?

Thanks
Almir
Have any card until 250 us that im can do 35mh/s in eth??

I don't think so, but if you buy a RX470 you will be able to get something close to 30MH/s for under 200 usd

Hello guys..

I got problem with 1 of my GPU ( VTX3D R9390). After 6 months of mining, the miner starts showing me the message : GPU#0 returned incorrect data!

I tried underclocking, lowering the voltage, tried with stock settings....

Any idea?

so i just picked up 2 more rx 470 4gb oc msi armor cards.. and these ones come with the samsung memory.. they are faster..

the hynix ones do around 22-23 mhs on eth at 1000/1750. the samsung ones do 23-24 at 1000/1650.. im sure once i crank them up i can get 26-27 no problems.

i havent tried overclocking the new cards yet. unfortunately one didnt come with a thermal pad on the ram.. i have some but im waiting to hear if msi wants me to send this one back or if i can just put it on myself..

Well , you could manage to make 6*rx cards to work on 850W PSU. But it will be 850-870 wattage power draw from the wall , almost PSUs maximum load. rx 470 is about 15-20 watt less power draw than 480. Of coz. its in undervolting conditions.

My rx470s run at 1100/2000 and 28 Mhs

Which brand? 4gb or 8gb? which type of memory? Samsung or hyn?

I am using dual min but problem is i get low eth hash rate (from 29.3 to 22MHs drop) if i mine pascal in dual mining
If i mine sia, the drop is almost negligible (from 29.3 to 28.7) and i get 425 MH/s for Sia.

I had to give up mining pascal because of this.

I am using nitro+ 8b OC with samsung mem.

May switch to sgminer because i heard it's giving 10% more hashrate.

My 6x480 rigs are giving me less hashrare in sgminer as compared to Claymore using the default settings:

Code:
"name": "eth",
"algorithm": "ethash",
"xintensity": "1024",
"worksize": "192"
"gpu-threads": "1"

Care to share some optimized settings?

Hi guys. I am new to ethereum mining and have decided to use the claymore miner.

I have been having a problem with setting my mining rig up. One main problem is that 1 of my 4 rx 480s is not running at its full potential. It is only at 4 mh/s. The other cards usually get around 24 mh/s without oc or modded BIOS.
Have any of you guys had this problem. I hope to get this working at its full potential soon so I can make back my investment.

All of you with the 4 Mh/s bug... read 2-3 pages back on this thread. Or try searching on google 4 Mh/s bug ETH mining...

Does anyone know if modded bios and/or modifying straps plays well with dual mining?

Works great for me. In fact I recommend both modding (specifically only the straps and then undervolting with wattTool) and dual mining at current prices
