You are going to need try the dcri values by chaning them with keyboard +/- untils its good ratio between two mh/s-es.

hey guys

can someone help me to improve my .bat file for better performance?-dcri -eth and all that stuff?

im mining with a single rx 480 8g

my bat is this

Has anyone managed to extract the newest AMD drivers? (amdgpu-pro-17.10-414273.tar.xz)
I enter
Code:
tar -Jxvf amdgpu-pro-17.10-414273.tar.xz
and I'm getting an error.

Hello Claymore, guys!

this is the first time i use claymore miner (9.4) on lubuntu 1404, GTX 1060 x 5, works fantastic right out of the box, BUT, it only output stats every 4 minutes or so, is there is any way to change that? so it can output stats every 1 minute instead??

i ask that because i have scripts that reads the miner output to the syslog and show it on an LCD display, the script runs once a minute but with claymore i only got stats every 4 or 5 minutes.

just would like to change that, any way i can do it?, i am using mode 1

thank you

Hi, why don't you use the API for stats? If you need any help with, let me know.

Hello guys, I have a problem with one of my rx 470.

It's a MSI gaming 4gb, used to make ETH only 28,5 Mh/s with :

1500 straps, -60mV core, 1150 core, 2000 mem, claymore 9.4, crimson 16.9.2

Now, after trying ETH +SCI (that happened about a the same time that windows 10 downgraded the drivers to 16.6), it was doing 18 MH/s ETH + 560 SC, which i first thought was normal.

Now, i'm getting more and more gpu Watchdog hang problem. The miner restart the GPU works fine for 1 to 6 hours then hang again.

Played with -dcri and managed to get 25 / 400 once, but can't achieve that again. (and the hanging problem didn't disapear)
increased core voltage and speed, hang problem still there after about 1 hour of mining.

I went back to ETH only to see if the problem comes from the dual mining, but now the card mine at only 25 MH/s.

Uninstalled MSI afterburner, uninstalled drivers with DDU, installed 17.4.3 patched with atikmdag, reinstalled afterburner = same hashing speed.
Uninstalled 17.4.3 and reinstalled 16.9.2 = still 25 MH/s
Changed bios to 1750 straps, nothing changed.

System :
-Windows 10
-8 gb ram
-750W bronze corsair PSU
-also mining with a 7950 on another miner, never had a problem with this one.

All my other rigs with rx 470 are running stable with ETH for weeks (except one that the fan randomly hit 100% until I reboot, but that's another story less urgent)

Anyone has an idea?

(Edit : very stable 20 MH/s ETH only -18mV core 1050 MHz, 1750 mem , no hardware errors in 3.5 hours... but that's very low, my 1 fan XFX is doing 24.5 MH/s with the same settings)

Question. You said that for AMD cards to use the Catalyst 15.12 driver. So I downloaded the driver from here: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-radeon-software-crimson-15-12-driver-download.html and installed it but it reported the driver as 15.13? Do I have the right driver?

Install the 16.11.5 drivers and you are affixed

Hi, I downloaded 16.11.5 from AMD. When I run the GPU-Z utility it reports the driver is 16.11.5 beta. Is that correct? I can't find another version anywhere.

Thanks,

Brian

hi guys...I really need your help.

I don't know why...but the watchdog error is killing me. I mean I have no idea what I could do to solve this issue.

My current rig looks like that:
7x RX580 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB
8GB RAM
Windows 10
Virtual Memory min 2000 max 50000 (increased that much just to see if its working better...but it isn't)
Temp: 52-58°C
Fan: 60%
- ethi 4
- gser 2

The hole system is running but after some minutes/hours I get an watchdog error mostly at GPU4.
I checked everything used new riser even from an other manufacturer but it doesn't work.

The new Claymore V9.4 miner doesn't help.

If I have an Watchdog error I need to reboot my hole system an normally restart of Claymore never worked for me even from the beginning. Undecided

My watchdog is looking like that:
01:14:59:055   1a28   watchdog - thread 0 (gpu0), hb time 109
01:14:59:056   1a28   watchdog - thread 1 (gpu0), hb time 31
01:14:59:056   1a28   watchdog - thread 2 (gpu1), hb time 94
01:14:59:056   1a28   watchdog - thread 3 (gpu1), hb time 16
01:14:59:056   1a28   watchdog - thread 4 (gpu2), hb time 47
01:14:59:056   1a28   watchdog - thread 5 (gpu2), hb time 125
01:14:59:057   1a28   watchdog - thread 6 (gpu3), hb time 31
01:14:59:057   1a28   watchdog - thread 7 (gpu3), hb time 109
01:14:59:057   1a28   watchdog - thread 8 (gpu4), hb time 8297
01:14:59:058   1a28   watchdog - thread 9 (gpu4), hb time 8375

01:14:59:058   1a28   watchdog - thread 10 (gpu5), hb time 47
01:14:59:058   1a28   watchdog - thread 11 (gpu5), hb time 125
01:14:59:058   1a28   watchdog - thread 12 (gpu6), hb time 141
01:14:59:059   1a28   watchdog - thread 13 (gpu6), hb time 63

GPU 4 watchdog is way too high... and I hope you can give me some tipps to solve this.

Am I the only one who has that issue? Huh couldn't find a solution at www.

If you need more information let me know.

appreciate for any help.

PS: approx. 3-4 days ago I could mine over 100 hours in a row and I didn't change anything till then.

It sounds like W10 updated and is messing with it, we are having problems with the 7 cards rigs, since a couple of weeks as a resul of an update, reset your system to a previus date.
We had some space left on some other rigs so took it down to 5.
Thats why we are building no more that 4 cards rigs now.
Should try ti change the GPU4 raiser just in case.

I had deactivated all W10 updates  and all my GPUs can be detected in windows and with claymore.
So I think it should be OK with it... or not?  Huh

I changed the raiser also once ...no effect.

Really strange and frustrating that watchdog issue it doesn't work for longer than 15min  Angry

I've OC all cards the same like that "if its important"
GPU clock: 1150
Memory clock: 2150
GPU voltage: -75mv
Hynix all 7 gpus

Started Dual mining again (ETH + DCR) and it's running for almost 4,5hours without a watchdog error.
Can it be that only ETH mining is buggy with the Claymore client?
Didn't change anything just switched back to ETH+DCR instead of only ETH mining and it seems to run.

Will let you know if its fine now or if the watchdog error comes back.

btw does anyone else have problems with only ETH mining on the Claymore client?

Short Update: If anyone was interested
Dual Mining is working without issues... right now 55hours in a row.
No changes at the GPU or Bios... don't know why but only ETH mining is not working for me.
GPU 4 is getting the watchdog issue all the time after some minutes.

So if you have issues with the watchdog ...try to use the dual mine feature.

PS.: If anyone has a solution for that please let me know.

hello miners! I'm having some difficulty. I'm seeing "ETH: Share rejected!" and "ETH: GPU0 0.000 Mh/s, GPU1 0.000 Mh/s, GPU2 0.000 Mh/s" even though the graphics cards are recognized. I've worked through some other issues with the amdgpu pro and linux kernel errors but this has me stumped. No errors in dmesg and I'm lost. Please help!

Hi all

I have a GTX 1080& GTX 970. Not SLI connected...
I run V9.4 but my GTX970 only makes about 3MH/s

I try fix this issue several hours. Cant figure out why its not working.
Somebody have any Ideas what I`m doing wrong?

Thank you so much

Run your rig on linux, its going to be tough to find the cuda 6.5 drivers we need for the 9 series cards..

@Claymore

The miner doesn't apply -cvddc less than 900mv  on my RX570

-cvddc 880 applies the same voltage as -cvddc 900

Is it by design?  I could still knock some watts down if it allowed me to.

I noticed the same. I have a mix of RX cards and cvddc key does not work consistently. It is applied to some cards not not to all. MSI AB does work though.

Hello Claymore, guys!

this is the first time i use claymore miner (9.4) on lubuntu 1404, GTX 1060 x 5, works fantastic right out of the box, BUT, it only output stats every 4 minutes or so, is there is any way to change that? so it can output stats every 1 minute instead??

just would like to change that, any way i can do it?, i am using mode 1

thank you
indkt.

Hi, why don't you use the API for stats? If you need any help with, let me know.
Also for online access: https://github.com/JamesSmith2/EthMonitoring
Hi Thanks for replying
This rig has a lot of different miners for different algos, all of the output is done to the syslog on ramdisk, and a lot of scripts reads from there, this API is propietary from claymore only works with claymore miner, i already have everything working on all the other miners, the display updating, including temperatures, fan speeds, powerusage, webpage with all the stats, the watchdog programs that turn off cards if they go to high in temp, the remote notification system, etc i won't make everything again just for one specific miner.
it has to be a way to output stats faster and not every 5 minutes!, it is the only miner that does it!.
thanks
indkt.

Anyone managed to get 4xx and 5xx running on same rig?
Man I think I tried about everything now.

I got 2x 470 (modded)
2x 480 (modded)
1 570 (modded)

With the Crimson 16.x.x drivers I can easily get my 470's and 480's but the darn 580 just shows as standard VGA.

I even tried the latest greatest 17.something driver and that was a mess lol. It showed all 5 cards but never would actually load the drivers correctly..

Grrr gotta be a way lol....

depends if you are talking about AMD or nvidia, on nvidia as long as you are on driver 370 and UP and have coolbits activated properly you can touch voltages, a little dangerous on nvidia though, but your choice Smiley, i only play with core and mem values Smiley

Could you please share your knowledge. I would like to know how to configure remote notifications and watchdogs on my rigs.

What notifications do you need?

Anyone managed to get 4xx and 5xx running on same rig?
Man I think I tried about everything now.

I got 2x 470 (modded)
2x 480 (modded)
1 570 (modded)

With the Crimson 16.x.x drivers I can easily get my 470's and 480's but the darn 580 just shows as standard VGA.

I even tried the latest greatest 17.something driver and that was a mess lol. It showed all 5 cards but never would actually load the drivers correctly..

Yes. I have mixed rig with 480 and 570. Simply use latest AMD driver, patch it and start mining Smiley
