TIP for Upgrading.

There have been multiple changes in the UI. If you  have been using leonArdo or margin for a while or running multiple instances on a VPS, chances are at some point in the past font settings other than the current defaults were saved to your system.

Before firing up all those pair after your next upgrade, go into settings and hit reset on the fonts. Adjust them as necessary to suit your current needs.

I had stumbled upon an issue today, I had a finger check while adjusting the fonts which timed out margin and I had to 'resume' them which went absolutely perfect under this scenario.

Upon further research the very resolution I was searching for was accomplished by hitting the 'RESET' button beside the font and I got exactly what I needed! I went to another exchange on the VPS and found the same deprecated font setting.

FYI - Specific or non-default settings can be found in the hidden directory in the sqlite3 database file state.db in the table settings.  Cheesy

What am I trading? This market is practically Nirvana for mid to micro cap.. Wink

Yes... Margin doesnt open on my mac, 10.10.5 version of Yosemite.  Note Leonardo Works fine!

My System....
Model Name:   iMac

  Processor Speed:   3.1 GHz
  Number of Processors:   1
  Total Number of Cores:   4

Yes, we are aware of an issue affecting certain CPUs (for example Intel CPUs that aren't at least 4th generation or later) and will get a fix out ASAP!

Thanks,

Just think about it, with this post on March 9th, you immediately went into a tirade and then got vulgar.

Instead of editorializing your issues, just send a note to support like everyone else.

Yeah but chances are, that it will make no difference anyways.......

Sadly.

Dear Hacky,

the issue will be fixed by the next release and also will find its way into leonArdo.
We are working around the clock on the product. Dropping a mail to support@marginsoftware.de is usually the quickest way to get a reply.

All the best,

  Rene

Yah, that's a nice idea .. BTDT, it did not work out, not any single time...

So, as i'm supposed to search through this giant mess of a post for updates on my now outdated and no longer supported product, i don't see, why i should make _any effort_ at all, to make your work - you already thrown from the table - in any way easier...

Oh and by the way, i like the point that every bugreport which comes in _here_ is visible to any user interested in this software.

That's for me the most important benefit.

As i said, mailing to your support site did not work out for me, i still have no answer from you, why i can no longer use leonArdo on bittrex at all.....................................

In response to those who have wondered how fast margin is.

Obviously bot to bot in a shallow market, this is a screen shot of 17 sells in a single second.  Shocked

@victory1908 - Keep in mind, cryptocurrency saw a decline in 5 of the 8 first quarters since 2011.

New patch released (margin 1.0.1)

  • fixed a possible buffer overflow issue, when erroneously entering an empty value in the login mask
  • fixed a bug that under some circumstances caused spot orders to enter an infinite place/cancel loop
  • fixed some issues for people who used an older CPU that doesn't support a set of advanced SIMD-instruction sets. This lead to an "illegal instruction" error. Please notify us if you you still encounter other "illegal instruction" errors!
  • re-enabled the ARM version

Guys, hi! None of the demo versions, Macos and Windows, doesn't work.
It closed immediately after start. No margin screen appears. Could you please fix it?
Me too and Linux version too.
Windows 10 64bit, 8 Gib ram, CPU Intel Pentium N3700, updated.
Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64-bit, 4 GiB ram, CPU AMD C-60 APU with Radeon HD Graphics x 2, updated.
All work fine!

Hey guys,

The new version is coming up now on Raspberry Pi with one problem. Kraken is no longer an option on the login menu...

Hi, can  Leonardo and Margin simultaneously be connected to the same exchange (say Bittrex)  and run on the same PC?

The problem is that both are using the same API key. So running it in parallel will probably cause problems with API-limits or nonces.
Having it installed on the same machine and running one or the other is no problem though.

All the best,

  Rene

Hi,

you are correct. The Kraken market made it mistakenly not into the patch release in the ARM version. Will be fixed asap.
Thanks for you support!

You can of course just create a new API key for margin.de and then run it with two different keys simultaneously!
Submit the new key/secret on margin.de and you are able to run both in parallel.

All the best,

So if I have more than one sets of keys per exchange, do they let me hit the exchange more frequently? That sounds strange, unless I misunderstood this limitation in the first place...

Thanks.

Some limits are based on the IP-addr and some on the API key pair. This depends from exchange to exchange and even changes sometimes Wink
The safest way is to just run only one client from a single IP. Having at least two different API keys is important, but is not preventing that you might run into IP call limits. Might I ask why you would like to run both in parallel?

All the best,

  Rene

Thanks Rene. All else seems fine with the new version. Btw, anyone using Kraken, set your API nonce window to 5000. I was getting a lot of communication errors back and forth with the Kraken servers when I had the default (set to 0). All errors have virtually disappeared since I changed that setting.

Not really looking to run is parallel. I was just curious how that worked. Smiley

Anyone interested in setting up a better alternative that actually keeps it's promise of a lifetime license? We should be able to find enough capable users in this community. Just leave a reply and send me a DM.

Be careful if you waited the six weeks for Bitstamp verification and then use their trading view. I have found that the page misbehaves and will happily suck down 70% of the CPU cycles on a four processor system eventually stalling the system. Thankfully margin was not running on the system at the time. I was able to track it down using taskmanager and firefox about:performance.

ATTENTION Binancians!

Binance is de-listing CTR on all pairs.

https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002428872-Binance-Delists-Centra-CTR-Token

Previous (very ominous) risk announcement:
https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002360851

I had just added it due price and volume factors, then somehow saw the first announcement but not the second. I know how easy it is to have many bots running and fail to keep track of all the viable pair, Bittrex does it to you all the time.

If you were an early supporter of leonardo than I dont know how you can be upset with what they are doing.

If you bought before than you get month free and big discount on future subscriptions. They had to switch to a subscription model it makes sense, every other bot besides gunbot is subscription based. Gunbot is reaallly expensive though and wouldn't surprise me if they move to subscriptions in the future.

Margin is so much nicer than leonardo, very impressed and pleased as an early supporter
