...

The distribution rules:

BTC to bytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 62.5 MB (0.0625 GB)
BTC to blackbytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 2.1111 * 62.5 million blackbytes (money supply of blackbytes is 2.1111 times more than that of bytes)
Bytes to bytes: 1 byte on any Byteball address gives you 0.1 new bytes
Bytes to blackbytes: 1 byte on linked Byteball address gives you 0.21111 blackbytes

...

I received my bytes, but how can I see if I received Blackbytes ?
If you select the Send tab do you see a scroll down list to select blackbytes? The Home tab should also have 2 small dots under the "100 000 bytes" in big large font, clicking the rightmost dot will show the amount of blackbytes.

Many people made the mistake of linking the bytes-address with transition bot, but then made a payment, and all the bytes were moved to other address, so missed the free blackbytes.

Thank you.
I didn't see the small dots. Everything is fine, I have received my Blacbytes.

Monero got 14 mi , if you hold 500 GBB it like you hold 35,000 Monero

Blackbytes is extremly rare 2.1 mi.

it going to take time for Tonych to get there, but dont know for how long.

Simplicity is beauty.

where can you trade blackbytes?

IMO people should get as much as they could if they look far in the future
you could get for 1:7 or 1:10 if you trade white for black that is alot but no one see it.

https://byteball.slack.com/messages/trading_blackbyte/

right now only this to get blackbytes.

ah thanks, so only over the counter...

Playing Devil's Advocate here:

Why should 1gb of Byteball storage cost 220,000% more than 1gb of storage on Amazon's cloud?

$55 on Byteball vs. $0.025 on Amazon ?

Let me guess ... may be because it is a different storage? But you can go ahead and store your black bites on Amazon.

next

The linking phase will end on March 12 at 14:54 UTC, after which we'll do the distribution in proportion to BTC and bytes balances on this date.

Lucky I am as I have got some byteballs and blckbytes in last distribution of 11 Feb'17. Received Byteballs and blckbytes but still calcualting values.

Can anyone plz elaborate about units of Byteball ? As I have heard about GB, MB, Byteball, Blakcbytes and Just Bytes etc.

Well if next distribution is on 12 Mar'17 then would like to be ready to catch that moment.

For each BTC you should've gotten 62.5 MB and 2.1111 times that in blackbytes.
If you had bytes, then you should've gotten 0.1 byte for each byte.
If your bytes were on linked Byteball addresses, then you should've gotten 0.21111 blackbyte for each byte.

Can anyone plz elaborate about units of Byteball ? As I have heard about GB, MB, Byteball, Blakcbytes and Just Bytes etc.

Byteball is the whole system (the app, the DAG), byte is a public asset and blackbyte is a private one, these are the base units, 1 MB (megabyte) is 1 000 000 byte, 1 GB (gigabyte) is 1 000 MB, the same is applied to blackbytes with MBB and GBB.

from white paper site 3
In Byteball, the base currency, bytes, is used to pay for adding data into the Byteball database.

total supply Bytes (usual commercial size is Gbyte GB):
1E+15 Byte = 1E+12 Kbyte  = 1E+9 Mbyte = 1E+6 Gbyte = 1000 Tbyte = 1 Pbyte
Please read also site 5 / 6 ->    3. Native currency: bytes

white paper site 3
Privacy. All Bitcoin transactions and balances of all addresses are visible on the blockchain. Although there are ways to obfuscate one’s transactions and balances, it is not what people have come to expect from a currency. Transactions in bytes (the base currency) in Byteball are equally visible, but there is a second currency (blackbytes), which is significantly less traceable

total supply Blackbytes (usual commercial size is Gbyte GBB):
2.1E+15 Byte = 2.1E+12 Kbyte = 2.1E+9 Mbyte = 2.1E+6 Gbyte = 2111 Tbyte = 2.1 Pbyte

The E+XX means Exponent and the amount of zeros..
The prefix comes from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metric_prefix
If you are a BTC whale you need the G or T prefix Wink

What does it cost with storj?

Do the alternatives, amazon and storj, store immutable data, with access forever, you just pay to "push it up" once, but dont pay for "keep it available and accessible" with Byteball.

The barrier for shitcoin exchanges is learning new crypto technology. They're so used to litecoin/blackcoin clones. They need to hear deafening clamor from supporters before they budge.

It's not. A used address is still accessible in your wallet. To be sure of that, you can check your wallet's addresses by clicking on the gear icon (next to the wallet's name) and then Advanced > Wallet Information and scroll down to ALL WALLET ADDRESSES.

Hi,
Byteball seems professional enough to provoke 264 shetts. But I can't find anywhere the symbol of this currency. Therefore it cannot be a super currency, or am I doing a failure?
