How big is the backup file?

my own – 246 Mb (compressed).

I was hoping it would be small enough for blackbytes on a paper wallet  Cry

On android, it's a lot smaller (some hundred kb). It's compressed and encrypted.

There should be an option on desktop to export the smallest version possible...!

Version 1.4 released https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases

It includes:
* Full backup and restore.  The backup file is compressed, encrypted, and compatible with all platforms
* Improved speed of sync
* Multiple bugfixes

Please upgrade.  Android version is already in Google Play.

If you plan to move your wallet to another device using backup/restore, please close the wallet and don't use it on the first device after creating the backup.  Overlapped use of the same keys on multiple devices can lead to multiple issues such as non-delivered blackbytes and lost chat messages.  If what you want is access to the same money from multiple devices, use multisig instead.

Keep up the excellent work, tonych!

It goes without saying, the backup/restore is an awesome addition. My time to full sync has been cut in half with this release as well!

Job well done, dude! Smiley

Updated without glitches and performed a full backup. This is what we needed as it was a bit of a hassle to perform a full backup before. Tonych did another good step forward. And the market reaction is only physiological

If the size of your transaction data is 500 bytes, you pay exactly 500 bytes.

The transaction fees may change in the future,for example If the size of your transaction data is 500 bytes, you pay exactly 50 bytes,
Or they will always have 500 for 500.

Transaction fee will allays be equal to the size of transaction. This may create a problem in the future actually.

thank you.

Sometimes, it seems stuck, and suddenly jumps to greater percentages. Some other times, after being stuck for a long time, a restart makes the syncing progress bar disappear. I would say that generally, it just seems stuck whereas it actually isn't. The latest release is supposed to speed up things though.
