do you mean issuing your own private asset like blackbytes or starting a whole new DAG?

Could you explain in detail why you do not think Byteball is not a crypto currency? All what I understood so far is that Byteball uses some centralized "mechanisms" to stabilize and/or secure the network. This will be stopped as soon as most coins are distributed and a critical amount of users use Byteball. Is this right so far? However the coin is still designed to be a crypto currency.
If by "centralized 'mechanism'" you mean the fact that tonych control all 12 witnesses I'd say I don't think the mechanism of changing witnesses is somehow deactivate 'till the distribution is over. I think it's in full blow validity and someone who present a very compelling argument to be one of the twelve witnesses could assume the role. Now, tonych may have any number of reasons to be in this role, but one would be: the network had to start securely somewhere, and the other being: no one's showed up yet with the needed reputation and credibility.

But need some additional functionality, no interested in cloning..so need deeper understanding..

Finally some voice of reason. I felt so lonely with my arguments among all "hodl, to the moon etc." mindless cheerleaders. Thanks for that. It would be nice to hear from tonych what is his plan (if any) for relinquishing control over witnesses and breaking down the current one man cartel. It's obvious that it's very early to talk about that but some plan needs to be outlined if the system is to be considered in the future something more than privately controlled currency by one man. It's so centralized at the moment that the wallet "decentralized value" slogan sounds like a joke.

It's so centralized at the moment that the wallet "decentralized value" slogan sounds like a joke. You can even now begin using my witness. Witness 7ULGTPFB72TOYA67YNGMX2Y445FSTL7O replaces UENJPVZ7HVHM6QGVGT6MWOJGGRTUTJXQReplace the one which is the last in current list which is UENJPVZ7HVHM6QGVGT6MWOJGGRTUTJXQ This is intended actually to be a well run witness, it has been on for a while now, the keys are very safe, it is on good hardware. Just waiting to make a real announce of the witness together with witness-policy and my background and intent with this, and need to gather more technical experience. Of course the primary intent to run witness is to gather fees, but for me, long-term this witness will actually distribute a percentage of its fees to Wikipedia and Free Software Foundation. Using this witness you would support these non-profit organizations. I got no connection to those orgs other than being donator and have been associate member of FSF. Choose the witness above if you want simplicity, independence, and to support freedom of software and freedom to acquire knowledge. I am one man, but have no debts, political or religious affiliations, basically am unknown in the cryptopunk or finance world. My technical skills are solid, so if I come under government or crypto-nerd pressure I can do like thepiratebay, disappear but the witness and its keys will continue serving. To see these tech skills in action, I run a witness, several hubs, created the first asset after blackbytes (called First), and left a message for the wife in the DAG like strawman.

It's so centralized at the moment that the wallet "decentralized value" slogan sounds like a joke. I think I wasn't able to to express myself appropriately as I certainly wasn't advocating any urge for "tonych to relinquishing control over" anything, much less "breaking down the current one man cartel" in anyway. In fact, I think the current situation is heath and expected for this stage of the project, and changing witnesses to be risk at the moment (I, for one, won't do this). Byteball need to grow much more so it can resist attacks as I think byteball's decentralized qualities will manifest themselves incrementally while it grows (I am currently learning and can not fully back this claim up, but I can sense witnesses may provide unheard levels of decentralization, much greater than many here acknowledge). Besides, as far as I know, tonych can't do anything if economy decide to change some witness, apart from offering new version of the software (open source) which s0mehow enforce the witnesses he prefers. But then, he has to convince everyone to update to his version (admittedly very easy now as I think he, for the foreseen future, has much trust of the economy). I guess, this puts me in the "mindless cheerleaders" category then .

I for one do not favor a bitcointalk legendary or super-status member to run a witness, such accounts can be bought, that doesnt mean the reputation follows, that portabella is such a newb is in his favor. Portabella, I ran a witness but few wanted to use it. Good luck anyway. Added.

Harmed much? Was it your sockpuppet? I think you are harmed, by me. Since you are here jumping on every post I make, and now seeing sockpuppets. Dont you have anything better to do than stalking me? Is it because you felt harmed when I asked about your little Iota project? Did I ask uncomfortable questions?
