Everyone has got their Bitcoin Cash airdrop and now they are starting to think about the GBYTE airdrop that is coming in a few days.
Ok, it isn't quite as big a drop as the BCH one, but I personally like the extra GBYTE drops more, they are certainly less controversial!

I wonder how many people will forget to re-link after splitting their coins. At the moment mine aren't linked, I need to do that later so I don't forget.

I hope we reach 1 million BTC soon since people are going to relink their wallet.

Hi guys,

I have a question and sorry if this has already been answered.
It says on the website that

For every 16 BTC you receive 1 GB (1 gigabyte = 1 billion bytes),
For every 5 GB you receive additional 1 GB.

for the last round i already received the byteball from the linked BTC addresses, now does that mean this round i will also receive the same amount of byteball if i have the same amount of BTC linked? and also receive a further 1GB for every 5GB i have linked?

That linked address will work all the time during the airdrop.

UPDATE :

917487 BTC llinked  which will bring approx. : 57,342 gb

and we have 365,903gb in circulation which will bring : 73,180 gb more after airdrop

So

365,903+73,180+57,342= 496,425 Gb in total in circulation after give away.

That's 50% of all gbytes.

Yes i think in this rate we will have 3 more airdrops
.

Distribution :   0.0625 Gb for each 1 BTC of linked balance and 0.2 new byte for each 1 byte you already hold.
131.94375 MBB for each 1 BTC of linked balance and 0.42222 new Bbyte for each 1 byte you already hold (on linked addresses only).

Scheduled:   August 7, 2017 at 18:10 UTC

I think that a lot of Bitcoiner are waiting for a safe and simple solution to split their BTC/BCH (without to withdraw their BTC first) : then, BTC address don't change and they have not to re-link they BTC.

Byteball is only a speculative asset right? Or can it be used anywhere, is there any real world use whatsoever? Thanks. Just figuring out what to do with this other than to sell after airdrops
Because it does seem like an amazing project...

It is safe and simple to register your new bitcoin address with byteball client. I did that yesterday while moving my btc from one Electrum wallet to another in order to prepare it for Bitcoin Cash.

It is all working flawlessly.

Read about the procedure here:

You need a full wallet to import seeds, so a desktop wallet.

It looks like a known bug that will be fixed in next version.

simple the best exchange
I love how Changellyteam has no limits and awesome fees when going from crypto to crypto. No reason for exchanges !

The blinding effect on you of your participation in their affiliate program wouldn't be so obvious if not for the fact that you're talking about a service that currently sells BTC at $4,055/BTC and GB at $927/GB. Try to make it a little less obvious and use the [u r l] BB tag next time.

You can't expect merchants to accept a coin that has the majority of the supply in the creators hands, this is obvious, most exchanges don't list it because it's still only gonna be 50% distributed (on aug 7). Once it's fully distributed you can expect adoption and marketing to really begin, or maybe even before the last distribution. It will happen soon, in a few months, winter is coming... ^^

Quite right. I suppose I wasn't considering the big picture.

Edit: I suppose the same logic means Ripple (and maybe Stellar Lumens) will have a difficult time with respect to merchant adoption.

Well Ripple is basically banker money, it's exactly the same as fiat, it shouldn't even be considered crypto in my opinion, not only it is mostly in the hands of banks but the company Ripple Inc. has like 60-70% (not exactly sure, check it up) of the total supply. I have no idea how can people invest in it, the bankers should be enough to keep people away from it but the fact that the supply is not fixed (I think they can mint as much as they want but they promised 100Billion?) and the majority of the coins are in the company's hands...that's just crazy. Now you could say that tonych owns 50% of byteball (after aug7) too but the difference is that tonych is distributing it freely every month by a fixed rate and keeps 1% for himself, Ripple does not do that, they keep that 60-70% for themselves. In any case, in 3-4 months, this coin will be distributed fully, Ripply will remain the same shit scamcoin as it always was. One last thing I know about it, the original creator left it and made Stellar Lumens.
