meeh, I hope that all 1st day orders will be shipped tomorrow, because if not, we will not get them before weekend and I don't think that UPS delivering during weekend.(

The UPS express option allows for deliveries on saturdays I think.

I've had UPS deliver on Saturday.

I would love to be working for these guys right now, would gladly relocate for the right salary lol. Sleepless nights working with computer equipment? yes please.

LOL.  Same here...

I worked ~4 years in datacenter. I know, that it seems somehow sexy and exciting: racks, cables, cisco equipment, everything is blinking, fan noise, geek porn.. but after couple of years of stress, night shifts, noise and cold inside...well, is better in the office.)

Bitcoinorama, I don't have a dog in the ring, but I am in your corner.  Please, review the posts here about hosting, and, if representations were in fact made concerning timely uptimes, beseech KnC to make good on those representations.

Just about everything has been done in a way that has made their performance the anti-BFL, anti-Avalon provider; the good will being generated is assuredly huge and valuable to them.  Time and resources are undoubtedly scarce, but please don't let that reservoir of good will be drained by things that slip through the cracks which could be avoided with a little care.

Just sayin' ...

Loredo I understand, but I know you realise this was not atypical engineering, they've achieved in 24 hours what others couldn't in a year. Then have given a superhuman effort to ensure you get yours. Customers are prioritised over everything, especially sleep. So if cracks are appearing it's because they need a little rest, and have been fully hands on. Resources aren't scarce per se, but now the product is here, other hands need to pick up what's required and fast.

In any case, Sam is on his way to the datacentre now, alas I'm not, as the van he took had space for two, and he prioritised the software engineers, now some of you may argue that was a logical choice, but at least I've now had a shower. Wink

Seriously though if it's not online tonight, check tomo morn. They've all had very little sleep since Sun, but hosting is their (Sam, Andreas and the software engineers) priority now. Rem. they only got the boards to where they wanted by this morn, so tomo really is the first full day of ramped up production. What we did today was the lot of us racing against each other to get as many out the door and prep the facility staff so they are upto speed. So today wasn't the full quota, but we did the best we could. Also UPS had all waybills, all, they were double checked I even have a photo of Sam doing just that. That needs to be addressed to customer services though, I cannot help you there.

I'll be with Marcus and Michael again, who are getting their first decent night rest now, in the manufacturing facility tomo. Tomo night I'm 100% back to Stockholm.

Thanks for the updates..the community really apreciate....hopefull you can get some rest this evening! By any chance can you disclose (in case you know) how many miners shipped today? Or many of them went to the hosting facility?

What a couple of days.

Silk Road is busted, and BTC, after the knee-jerk that always attends any speculative prices on surprise announcements, takes 80% it back and volatility returns almost to normal.

KnC goes a long way to removing "bitcoin ASIC vendor" from the lexicon of synonyms for "con men."

Now if BFL actually ships their chips on or around their promised 100-day points, there might just be some order, good will, and community attitude return to this feckin' business.

Avalon... well, my attitude is, "that was ugly and tragic, but they won't exist going forward, so why should I care?"

Time to do a little real world work.

BFL actually shipped my chips on the 99th day after I paid for them and I received them on day 100.
Unfortunately there are no boards quite ready for commercial production yet although Lucko, Jeremiah Johnson and MrTeal are just about there.

Yes, I know that.  I believe it was 32 chips, right?

What I keep watching for are the Group Buys.  I think there was already at least one missed assurance of shipping last Friday.

EDIT: This doesn't belong here in any case.  I am honestly rooting for BFL to ship.

I'm surprised the assembly facility doesn't have showers.  I was in an IBM facility outside Tucson AZ one time, and they had better stuff than most spas.  Of course, they had clean rooms there.

How bizzare, that's mighty unusual for them. Did you have to pay the remaining 50% before ship or COD?

Sounds like tomorrow will be the first "full" production day so at best we will have a better idea after tomorrow.  If they went through the queue as promised I think the earliest queue position that posted here that didn't get a tracking number was 4*, meaning they shipped (or gave notification of shipping) to <50 orders.  I assume tomorrow with a full day ahead and a partial day under their belt to fix some kinks they will likely finish Day 1 orders.

It's 17:15 and all's well in the financial markets.  The currencies took no notice of the SR/BTC thing.

Here's how zerohedge, a financial market contrarian news/opinion site written by, and largely for, financial market insiders, reported the thing.  As usual, they are forecasting the End of Bitcoin.  They may know how to play the Treasury yield curve spreads for the government shutdown, but bitcoin?  They don't have a clue.

LOL.  Yes, I bet they could have squeezed in three, but Sam thought the better of it Smiley
