Are they going to oversell the 1200 like they did the cards?  That's over 1200 orders based on order numbers alone much less orders with multiple units. I guess it's the first 1200 to pay for their orders then they'll cancel the rest like they did with the cards.

ALOT of those orders are just vapor-orders that never get paid

The reason I am bitching about is because I cannot afford one  Grin  So, all that early customer appreciation program turns out to mean nothing for me.

Refund at dollars
That's is knc said at site under the miner
They'll take your 12BTC today and when you ask for a refund in April, they'll sell one BTC when it's $10,000/BTC to refund you and make $110,000 profit  Grin

Ordering today basically means you are selling them your bitcoin for $850-$900.

How are you not aware that KNC do not take any BTC from Bitpay?

Im pretty sure that KNC uses Btipay and it instantly gets converted to fiat.
So no they don't have BTC for the sale and that's why they say if you refund in the future you'll get back fiat not BTC

EDIT. you beat me to it CYPER

Power might be the reason for me to not purchase. At least for my apartment, I can't use other power hungry devices when the miner is on --- the circuit break will be triggered

Dead Die update

Got an RMA'd board back and it ran fine for a few days and a die died..   Turned off the fan, let it heat up to 82c and it came back on (switched to FW 94 from 98.1 beta for this)

let it cool with fan and run stable for 5 mins then switched it back to 98.1 and running fine.

so where is that tuning app KNC??   we need it

Also sorry buddy but if the coin price crashes next year is not a justifiable excuse for a company to stomach that cost. That's your risk to take buddy. So the decision is yours...

So basically "All refunds will be refunded in dollars and you can refund up to shipment" is a misleading statement and not entirely true.

That does sound misleading, but on the other hand, how would you do it better?

I am not saying they should offer refunds if BTC was to crash - I realize that can potentially happen and I accept it.
But I would not write such bold statements if they are not true.
Or at least include a disclaimer so people are fully aware under what circumstances refunds are to be given.

I also notice that heat helps recover the units full potential.

Yes, which doesn't make sense.  Heat pops electrons from impurities triggering activity on fet gates causing illogic.  So, the heat must improve functionality via expansion or warping.  Wonder if it's a characteristic of the super large IC.  Wondered if there might be an expansion and contraction issue like with Dell laptop Nvidia gpus where the ball grid array develops opens.  You'll not see me putting heat on a ~$1000 chip like I would to a laptop motheboard gpu and fortunately mine are fine.

Have a service host it for you... perhaps KNC or AnotherHost.
