Is anyone else as surprised as me that the second batch of Neptunes hasn't sold out yet? People must be low on funds while waiting for their preorders from other companies.
Not at all. Someone who bought Jupiters early will have a lot of BTC stuck in hardware that hasn't paid them back yet by some way. Loads of people aren't close to break even in BTC terms. Selling a Jup for 28 BTC may seem wicked now to a person who paid for it in flat but to a BTC buyer it's a loss even if you chuck in BTC mined to date. Less payment options, crucially Paypal. What the chinese bank did to ban BTC in some areas ..that's got to hurt demand over there to some extent. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-12-05/china-s-pboc-bans-financial-companies-from-bitcoin-transactions.htmlLack of details ..asking people to chuck 10k at a rig with so little info, especially about power consumption which may be a factor for some. 3TH seems a lot now and I think they will be more like 4 or 5 even..but it may not be so hot in the 2/3/4/5/6 months they get delivered...there's another reason, time is critical yet seemingly not so much for KNC customers to get a realistic estimate. Reason for that being that we may hold them to it, and they'd get tired again due to their piss poor management of staff and resources which leads to weeks of insomnia. Laughable. Manufacturers use a schedule. Not dice. Not even touched the reasons I won't, poor communications and respect for customers, lying flat out, and quit while I got lucky thanks to an unexpected spot of good fortune without which I'd be losing big time ..which was nothing to do with KNC. If BTC were 100 dollars now we'd all be in a darker place. Loads of reasons why, despite being better than other suppliers so far, people may not jump into a long uncertain game with KNC again.

It is across most of Europe: Next business day delivery during the day to almost all European business centres End of second business day delivery to most business addresses in the United States and all major business centres in Canada Delivery during the day within two to three business days to countries in Asia. Which UPS service is next day to USA?

Hint, they are not called "saver".

Both I and my company have shipped plenty of packages to sweden via essentially 1 day (discounting time zones). UPS Express Saver is 2 rungs down, Below Express and Express Plus. Dont charge and advertise for a overnight service when its not.

Dont charge and advertise for a overnight service when its not. Bob I'm not advertising it, its there on the SWEDISH UPS page. Did you read the link? You know that different countries have different levels of service than the US does right? That getting something out of Sweden may take longer than getting it out of the US? http://www.ups.com/content/se/en/shipping/time/service/inter/express_saver.htmlNext business day delivery during the day to almost all European business centres End of second business day delivery to most business addresses in the United States and all major business centres in Canada Delivery during the day within two to three business days to countries in Asia Day-definite delivery during the day to other countries worldwide http://www.ups.com/content/se/en/shipping/time/service/inter/express_plus.htmlNext day delivery by 9:00 a.m. to most countries in Europe Second business day delivery by 9:00 a.m. to most business addresses in the United States, major business areas in Canada, and most business destinations in Asia Day-definite delivery by 9:00 a.m. to other destinations worldwide
What did they switch to last time Fedex? That worked out well for them, UPS is probably the best service they can provide.

I understand that the first batch of Jupiters had to make over 70 coins to break even in BTC and that was going to be tough... but how can you look at a Neptune and say that it will produce less than 10 coins. My two jupiters today still create 1 coin a day (combined). The risk is very different than it was with purchasing Jupiters when BTC was at $100.
unless you've got 2 November Jupiters pushing 700GH/s each I find it had to believe you can mine 1 BTC a day. please explain how you're doing this if it's true. or is it a mistake and you're calculations are incorrect. I have less than 200gh pointed to slush right now, and I'm making .25btc/day. I have no doubt he's making 1btc/day. I've just checked slush pool luck: so for the last week we had 103%, so you should have slightly more btc than whatsoever profit calculator will tell you, 3% more on avg to precise. So in the last week a 200GH/s machine should have minted 0.1422 * 1.03 = 0.1464 BTC a day. My merc made 1.008 over that period. 142GH =/- a couple of GH constant. That's actual, not calculated. On Slush. on a 7 days period? good for you. 142 GH/s eq 0.1010/day avg. so 0.1010 * 7 * 1.03 = 0.7282 so maybe slush pool luck calculation is not as accurate as one might think. ps: I've just noticed that slush is currently experiencing a very bad round 13.5hs without a solving block.... As long as we are comparing pool luck , I switched to P2Pool about a week ago, and the luck has been awesome: From http://p2pool.info/ : Pool Luck (7 days, 30 days, 90 days): 174.9%137.5%123.1% I have made 1 BTC +/- 0.1 BTC with a single Jupiter every day during this past week P2Pool rocks.

You touched many reasons. Main reason is imho uncertainty - again lock money for many month without a known outcome. From business point of view they made quite a perfect pricing. Batch 2 Neptunes are still selling - slow and steady - but compared to batch 1 they are a really bad deal

don't think so. to stay on the secure side do not change the firmware until we received a statement of KnC about this. If you look on the KnC support page, it already says very clearly, in red type for emphasis, to NOT use any of the 'troubleshooting tools' for November units: From https://www.kncminer.com/pages/troubleshootingDo not run any of the below tools on November miners, they are specifically for the October batch.

November Jupiter owner here:
I just wanted to say, per my mining partner's suggestion, I upgraded the bronze Rosewill RBR1000-M 1000-Watt Bronze Series 80 Plus Bronze Certified Power Supply powering 2 ASIC modules to a Gold v850 and my power at the wall dropped ~50W to 860W.
