Given the time-frame, It would be no surprise to me if they decided at this point NOT to do Jupiters... or already have decided such. But then again... if that was the case, they'd have no reason to be silent about it.... so take your pick....lol.
Yeah, I wanted these in December. Not sure I'd buy any right now unless they were stupid cheap.

If there is any way we can pay a reasonable premium to have the Neptunes shipped as two separate 1.5TH units that work on a standard American household circuit (instead of needing to use two circuits total for a single 3TH unit), I would be very interested in placing an additional order for 3TH.

Just submitted for my 2nd batch Neptune refund. So that's one extra spot for an (un)lucky person.
Don't expect a "speedy" refund, some of us have been waiting WEEKS for their refunds to be processed, and I'm sure most of them are in front of you... phoenix, you are refunding your orders? been thru this too many times..... only the two in the 13k batch... keeping all the others! ah gotcha. sorry didnt see this posted before. no worries... except that its taking FOREVER!.... lol (but still within the 10 "working days")... "KNC working days" hehe yeah sorry as I said I've been behind so I havent seen anything. Apologies.

That's what has started to frustrate me the not knowing what is going on. Other companies batches have closed I could have ordered. I would love some jups but if they don't do a batch that's fine I just don't want to be stuck in limbo till feb waiting for jups that won't come and miss out on more neptunes because of no announcement or order neptunes now and miss out on jups. So torn as to what to do

That chart is wrong most of the times. Check pools websites: Eligius is 1.6PH/s BTCGuild is 3.3PH/s GHash.io is 4.7PH/s That chart is based on solved blocks. So it's function of variance (i.e. luck) and pool's hashrate. 24h timespan it's not the best choice, though. yes, and BTCGuild's luck has been awful the past several days

ghash.io may have have zero % fees, but I think the hidden cost comes from their small random payouts which tack on a fee of 0.001
You can't set your auto payout threshold to anything but 0.1, strange.

Does that translate to a 1% fee?

Check your facts. There is no fee for auto payment, only for manual.

That will change in time as Bitcoin evolves more.
As long as companies know they have consumers by the balls regarding hardware preorders, none of this will change.. preorders.. refunds.. etc. When it becomes more profitable to have stuff in stock, they will have it in stock. When it's profitable to refund quickly--as they did in the past--they will do so.

Dear KnC
"We will continue to release our devices as competitively priced as we can to protect our customers share of the network."
If you are serious about this statement
There's only really one way of doing this. Sell (previous customers only) more mining equipment now and deliver by mid February.
Even if I was to get a refund on a Neptune , with the extra mined btc , I will buy more miners from you, Neptune's or Pluto's or what ever the next miner you sell.
All serious miners realise they need to get more hashing power right now .
You will make more monies in the long run and so will we.
Thanks for listening
Pete

I am just not sure who makes these ASIC chips, is it the companies like KNC miner or is there another manufacture like Intel? There is a lot of really intelligent people on bitcointalk.org that know how to make the boards, so really the lag in the marketplace is the manufacture of the chips. I am surprised there isn't a company other than Avalon ASIC manufacturing ASIC chips in China, they certainly seem to have a lot of resources there. Once the bitcoin world gets over this hurtle things will only get better.

They're selling the shit out of the Avalon 2 units, 200GH for $2250 is not bad at all, considering you can get it shipped right away. Forget Hashlast and cointerra, let's allow us to get some Jupiters

Knc has said in the past they like to release their machines so the buyers get a decent ROI. At the current difficulty you need close 3TH to mine 1BTC a day. I suspect that Knc will have to really work hard to upping the hash rate on the Neptune's so the ROI is decent enough at their shipping date.

Email back from tech support today.
Hello,
From the stats you have submitted below it appears you miner is running at 624GH/s, this is likely to be caused by the odd cores disabling. We are soon to be releasing the tuning suite for our November miners. This will allow you to control the voltage input of each die individually. Increasing the voltage on the dies with disabling cores can stop these cores from disabling. The firmware will be released onto our website soon.
