This will be a really nice streak to break. If we stay hot we break the streak on Dec. 2, 2020 so 2020-12-02 here we come.

Long, Long ago now In a thread far, far away JJG opined
that's as far as I'm going with haiku..
that we would probably fill in the 13K area at a later date. Now is years later, and we are filling the shit out of it. Ready for an explosive exit north. rocket.gif

We put our boy-cat, Shiva, in charge of rallying the charge towards $14k USD/BTC. He and our other kitties are currently working out a plan. Bro is currently licking his balls, deep in thought, while the girls chat amongst themselves, working on charts and graphs.

Other direction @bitcorn
Direction can be so confusing. Is bitcorn female? Huh? dee corn has decided.. and we seem to be largely going UPpity... In udder words, this price movement that you believe that you might be seeing is totally NOT unusual to get a bit of a rewinding (some might call coiling) on the way up. We really have not had any kind of meaningful correction, so merely bouncing around within 5% ($13,439, so far) of the $14,100 top is largely white noise in the whole scheme of having had gone up nearly 28% for the month of October (just trying to put a timeframe on such UPpity, even if timeframes can sometimes be a bit arbitrary in themselves). With a 28% price surge for the month of October, even experiencing a 10% correction (which would be $12,690 - I am not rooting for this) would not really be interfering with our current ongoing UPpity momentum in any kind of meaningful way. We have not even had a 10% correction since late August/early September. In other words, wake me up regarding whining about purported DOWNity when we get to a 15% or greater downward correction number.. (which currently 15% correction from the current local top would be $12k-ish) otherwise any of this back and forth and purported UP and DOWN is largely meh... ..

All good things to those who wait

Let me share a curios and a little unpleasant story. In my country, a large part of the population ID's expires this year. The government has decided to extend this period by another year due to the covid crisis and to avoid crowds. So far so good. But I started receiving letters from all crypto exchanges that my ID has expired. And now I have to write letters to the support, to explain myself to them to give me access to my accounts. I do not currently have access to any exchange and I have to wait days, probably weeks for this issue to be resovled. This sucks.

This illustrates the power of Bitcoin. You only need your keys, which never expire, and you can do anything you please with your coins, as long as you don't mix fiat with it. The moment you link it with the tradidional fiat system, you need IDs, KYC/AML authorizations, paperwork, jumping through hoops to prove who you are and how you got the coins, etc... Maybe you could send the exchanges an official government link and/or an official government-issued document that announces the expiry date extension due to COVID-19 safety concerns. My guess is that they will accept it, if it is an official document, even if it's in a foreign language.

I have a thread in Meta open since February, with a query of how many hours a day you dedicate to the forum, after 8 months I refloated it and updated it with a poll, here is the link in case you want to visit it and contribute your vote or your opinion https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5228859.0

I was denied a credit card because my DL was expired, even though my passport was valid. What does driving have to do with credit??? My bitcoin wallet never expires.

Good Lord everyone's in such a panic over here in the V8s citadel and its villages. Can I do this ? Will we able to do that? Course you effing can, I'll allow it. But they need a lot of admin. poor souls... Just don't expect me to know anything about the farming side, I may call myself a farmer, but that's strictly for tax purposes. (We make catastrophic losses as often as feasible.) I'm really just a glorified gardener and pretty brown-thumbed at best. So, way behind on pm's, reading the Wall, joke-nominating micropenes and the truly deserving for that award thing, all the important stuff. So bear with me plox and thx.

I was denied entry to a bar once because my DL had expired. I was 29 at the time. My ID application was (almost) denied once, because the medical certificate to confirm my blood type was older than 6 months. I asked the lady if she thought my blood type could have changed since the test was done. She stared at me for 15 seconds. Then she accepted my documents.

I was denied a credit card because my DL was expired, even though my passport was valid. What does driving have to do with credit??? My bitcoin wallet never expires. I have had trouble with banks, even with multiple forms of valid government-issued ID—because I lead a privacy-oriented lifestyle, and I am too successful at evading the all-seeing eyes of the corporate mass-surveillance data warehouses. Evidently, I do not exist: I am an unperson. I am nobody. My Bitcoin wallet cares only if I have the private keys. PSA: You have no privacy! When you sign up with a bank, the bank’s computer already knows all about you—even before you flash your livestock brand ID. And if your personal data have been stolen and traded on teh darkwebz, the bank’s computer may unarguably “know” things about you that are not true... When you visit a website, even with a VPN, the site already knows who you are, where you are from, and what you have been doing. Oh, and—heed Newbie-ranked vintage nullius: In a similar vein, do you carry a mobile phone? (I ask this rhetorically; I would not suggest that you answer such questions on a public forum!) If you do, then somewhere, there is a database which knows precisely where you were physically located on, say, the date of 2010-03-09 at 10:04 in the morning. Do you know exactly where you were on 2010-03-09 at 10:04 in the morning? Somebody does—well, a computer somewhere does. If you were to ever become interesting (in the sense of a “person of interest”), then a wetware analyst could look back at that years or decades later, and correlate it with other available information. That includes, but is not limited to, the calls and texts you made with that phone (metadata and/or content). It also includes the locations and communications of persons carrying phones around you. Do you remember who was near you and whom you associated with on 2010-03-09 at 10:04 in the morning? Somewhere, there is a database which remembers that. If you do not want to use websites that may track you, then you need to more or less STOP USING THE WEB altogether. And if you carry a mobile phone, then you are a total idiot.
