I'm sorry but complaining like that just makes you sound like a bitching spoiled brat. maybe you are only 12 and are a spoiled brat, I don't know but honestly grow a pair and contribute yourself or shut the f up.

Lots of sticks & stones there - but no answers or facts - because you don't know. Everything you said is based on assumption.

I invite forrestv to please post here on his own thread with an update on what is happening with regards the development of p2pool & p2pool.info so as to stop everyone having to guess what is going on & put an end to all the childish name calling being done by certain individuals. It's about time you spoke up.

Have you been a victim of dogie insults, neg-rep'd for no reason or been falsely accused by him? If so, air your experiences here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=905210.0

I'm doing what I can but I can't get the block stats updated. Windpath has some cool stuff on his pager that shows some or most of the missing stats.

I don't disagree. Sorry if I'm coming across a bit narcy. I guess its a pet hate carried across from user behavior on other forums.

What do we need?

The block history updated and stats working. I'm happy to continue trying to get my instance working and will update if I make progress.

What else does p2pool need to do that it can't do now?

Do you guys think one of these nano-itx boards will run bitcoind and p2pool?
http://www.qotom.net/goods-71-Q1037U+Intel+Celeron+1037U+Nano+Mini-ITX+Board.html
It has a celeron 1037u dual core 1.8ghz and I would add an ssd and 8gb ram.

The Board is to small, and you need a little bit more Ram. After approx 10 Days 16-20 GB RAM are used by Node (Cache etc).
My Node (approx 10 Miner @ 6-10 TH) has 2 x 4 Core XEON Prozessor, 32 GB RAM and SAS HDDs with a Hardwareraid 1. Thats the Optimum for a Node. The Creme de la Creme on top is a SSD HDD for the Blockchain. But this is not a must have.

I'm talking about setting one up at home for personal use. I will also be disabling the built-in wallet and limiting connections and speed. It needs to be small, low power, and low bandwidth.

Thank you to all who are doing the donations to p2p miners.  While it is not lots of money, it is an incentive and all of my mining power will be on p2p pool by next week.

I wrote a p2pool donate tool and it's been getting donations. I announced it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=646427.0 and on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/27rgvk/p2pool_donation_tool_now_available_to_help/

So far 0.782 has been donated through the tool, which if keeps up over time, is like p2pool paying out 1.4% more than any other pool: http://blisterpool.com/p2pdonate

Everyone can keep the donation rate high by encouraging all the bitcoin businesses they know to join the 1% decentralized club (makeshift banner on that reddit thread). If they donate 1% of their weekly profits (or whatever is reasonable), p2pool will be the most attractive decentralized mining pool by far. I wrote the tool due to a request from a business operator who wanted to do just that.

Wow, this is awesome!  Been noticing a bunch of small payments, took a while to figure out where they were coming from.  This is really encouraging.  I'll be moving more of my miners over from ghash to p2pool.

I've been operating a 0% fee node for months.  It runs on a fast private server in Chicago, IL, USA.  Anyone is welcome to join us, especially people in the midwest.  http://p2pool.1js.us

In light of the apparent block with holding attack on Eligius, and presumably BTC Guild ... how would we be able to know if it's going on here?

Does anyone have reliable stats on how we're doing luck wise?

Is there a way to analyze the addresses in the alt chain to see if any of the largest ones are strangely short of blocks?

This is an excellent question, and I "believe" we are ok, I don't know if it is because we are not a threat, or we are impervious... More likely we are not yet a threat.

Either way, I'm now collecting the data that will tell us. I hoped to have my version of p2pool.info live this week, but the required server update has slowed me down, next week it should be live and provide the data for analysis that someone more qualified then I can evaluate...

Just read that Petamine is mulling over switching to P2pool hopefully their tests go well enough for them to switch.

If we don't find a block or two soon, their test probably won't go very well.

To be fair though, both norgen and windpath have been doing some good stuff lately, but we need more to pick up the sizeable slack

What else does p2pool need to do that it can't do now?

One of the thing that people talk about not moving to p2pool is merged mining.
If we could have P2P merged mining then people would see daily payouts in NMC as they do in other pools.

Also a nice UI is needed - but this is done by others and easy to find.

Lastly I don't know if there is any API or documentation about it in order to fetch data to create custom pages/reports.

Run your own P2Pool with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and merge mining
