And it's gone! 511M difficulty... my mining rig is now completely useless...
I don't believe it has become completely useless by this increase. It just won't pay for itself maybe. [edit] If it has really become completely useless for you, maybe I could find some use for it... :-))) [/edit] BTW, the increase has been "only" :-) 30.7 % this time. Block Erupters weren't paying for themselves the last 5 increases. That ship sank long ago.

I didn't want to say it but whenever round goes over 4 hours I start getting nervous.

I am now more perplexed as to what is the issue with my blades. I now have 2 blades, both are using power supplies with well more than the 8.3amps on 12v that is needed triple the amount needed in fact. I pointed 1 to a bfg proxy and 1 to slush's mining proxy program but neither will exceed 7.2gh/s. If it were network traffic issues adding the 2nd blade in "theory" should have dropped both?! They are in the same network. They both insist on changing proxy servers about every 40 requests. You can not put a blank or the same ip for both servers or they will stop requesting work after 40 until they are rebooted. I put a bfg proxy on a server and pointed them to 2 ip's on the server which works. but they do not exceed 7.2gh/s I setup another server and pointed the other blade at it. still will not exceed 7.2gh/s. I changed one to the slushs miner and the other to bfg, still wont exceed 7.2gh/s Neither are running hot, they have more than enough cooling on them. in BFGMiner the first column says 10ish/7.2/7.0gh/s

Why? NMC is a by-product from mining BTC is it not? Does he pocket the NMC himself? "Back in the day" I earned a lot of those.. So now Slush earns them all? If that's the story then... Wow. And another thing about people who say their 60Gh/s mining rig is now worthless. Why is this so, please explain. Maybe you earn less BTC at this speed, but the value of BTC goes up against other currencies so what's the problem? You mine less BTC but the ones you do mine are worth more...

In terms of Fiat, yes. This is about having less BTC.

In terms of Fiat, yes. This is about having less BTC. So why don't we, in some kind of massive effort, decide to shift the comma one to the right? Say you have one bitcoin. 1.000000 BTC. Simply shifting the comma to the right and BOOM 10.00000 BTC And people can feel happy because this will cause 1 bitcoin to suddenly cost 20 instead of 200 bucks. And instead of 37 million BTC in circulation you have 370 million BTC. Why not?

isbe you have been on this forum almost a year and you seem pretty clueless about Bitcoin, how does that work? where do you get 37 million Bitcoin from? there will only ever be 21 million and that is a long time from now.
