Dudes, Help me out here - Im flamin'well confused about this whole block mining again.
If a pool is spending 10 hours trying to mine a block (put all the bits in the right place) then when I mine solo how come I see a new block popping up every 2 to 8 mins? My CG miner then goes onto the new block (discarding the work done on the previous block)
Am I misunderstanding this? (probably
) if not, how can I tell my CG miner to mine a block until its solved rather than start working on a new one every few minutes?
FRom my understanding, Everyone races to solve a block when a new block is found on the network so why the heck is Slushs Pool spending hours solving a block?
Oh - and BTW - I have a blog here you may be interested to look at, it shows my ASIC BFL Miner Modhttp://bfljalapeno.blogspot.co.uk/
Dontations would be lovely btw from all of you lovely people - Just sayin'
I really own like 0.06 of a bitcoin currently after a couple of months trying to solo mine with these bad boys, sigh I turned to Slushs Pool and Im close to my first 0.1
