I'd love to see manual setting of diff as an option again.

Anything below 2.3Ghash pointed to slush and you'll keep getting sent diff 1 shares. Of the other pools I've looked at 2 is set as the bare minimum.

Do you take Slush's share rate setting as an disadvantage? The lower the accepted difficulty setting, the lower your variance.

And in case of the Slush's scoring algorithm, one has to have a bit higher shares per minute, as only the latest shares submitted have some significant value. Thus one gets effectively less shares for the accounting (only a part of the shares submitted in the round, which makes the round effectively shorter), and for maintaining the same level of precision and keeping the variance reasonably low, one has to increase the share rate by some amount.

Yeah I grok that. But being on a pissy wireless broadband plan that's sometimes painfully slow (especially mid morning) along with capped downloads so low I don't even want to go there, it surprised me 1's were still accepted at those hashing speeds. I did end up going back to 3 which put's me at diff 2 again but oh well it was just a suggestion.

I'm going to have to switch to another pool until this gets sorted out.  In the last 4 blocks 2 of my rewards have been 1/100th or 1/10th of my expected returns .  I'm loyal to slush but I gotta make that money.

How often does Slush's pool pay after reaching your payout amount?  Just curious.

The FAQ currently says it's now every 15 minutes.  That hasn't been my experience, though.  I am waiting for a payout and it has been past threshold for at least a couple of hours.

It used to be at the top of the hour, but at the moment is seems random.  Maybe they are being triggered manually at the moment.  All I know is that it isn't consistent right now.

I've been many hours over my threshold (which is below the 0.05 value in the FAQ), it is now almost 3 times my threshold but still no payout... Slush has been 'consistently inconsistent' with the payout regime, although it always happens eventually, but the delays are frustrating and unjustified  Cry

Same here.  Cgminer had some message that it lost connection to the pool, now it sits on diff 3 (which is probably not the right one for a 20GH/sec miner)  Undecided

My confirms are about 4 times my payout threshold.... Perhaps Slush is trying to enforce this high 0.05BTC minimum payout.... bad move in my opinion, unless you want to drive away pool participants, noting that BTC Guild has a 0.01 min pay threshold.

Threshold is not being enforced as a minimum of 0.05BTC, my confirmed passed that ages ago. Payouts just aren't happening.

EDIT : My confirmed has just passed 10x the 0.01 threshold I have set.

GO SLUSH 200% LUCK!!! GO GO GO !!! (Cheerleaders needed, please apply here)

Whats the best bang for 1500 dollars ASIC wise at the moment?

And why (OH WHY?) do I need to wait 360 seconds from logging in to my first post = It really GRINDS MY GEARS!!!

Just a thought, ASIC Cubes don't look to be good value.

I'm Cloud Mining Why? When I first Started Mining it cost me a fortune in Electricity and over £100 per GH/s.
Now I can buy 10 GH/s for less than 2 dollars and sleep without earplugs. See my progress / screenshots here

Real Free Bitcoins from what I have seriously found to be the best site around. I share 50% of my commission to my referrals.

Does anyone know when the payouts are going to startup again? They said because of high traffic but you would think some would be paid out?

Tried to check on the Live support, it seems that there is some sort of problem, and nobody on Slush is getting paid.  They are looking into it.  Think positive... Huh

According to the FAQ on Slush'e web page, you can email  support@bitcoin.cz.  There is also a Live Support IRC channel.  The pool admins seem to be aware of the problem and they are trying to solve it (based on a quick visit to the IRC channel).  Hopefully the coins are not all lost.... Cry
