+1 blockchain.info maybe inaccurate, however you are right that it offers no clues as to why this one is invalid... yeah an 11 hr block and invalid block a bad day to get 0% fee (good day for slush thou) Searing

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

The invalid block 275487 seems to be rewarded now.
Edit: If I'm not mistaken.
Btw, not much luck on this toll-free day till now.

One and half hours past noon (UTC) and we have still only two blocks today...
If anybody has come to see our pool today, he must be disappointed. Not very good celebration this way... :-)

275487 must have been recalculated in some way, the reward differs from its previous value. Not much, but it differs.

Wonder if Slush will offer pool members TREZOR discounts.

Wonder if Slush will offer pool members TREZOR discounts. It would have to be a big discount; the exchange rate is at present more than four times what it was when the Trezor was first advertised, making it a very expensive gadget indeed. I would be surprised if anybody would wish to buy, however good it is.

It was so close, to celebrate the 3-rd year with 3 rounds, but there is still time to make a record for the daily luck ... the lowest I saw by now was 46% or 43% [/sick humor] Happy Birthday to the pool, I wish you (and to all of us pool members) to grow in number of rounds per day, members and hashrate, never being DoS-ed and pool servers never crash!

If it was orphaned, why did I just get BTC from it??? Will they take that back? You haven't got confirmed BTC from it. It will be deducted from the total as soon as it is flagged as Invalid. Rather galling, considering that our result was timed first (by one second).

Their connectivity with the majority of nodes/pools is downright malicious in how bad it is.

I can see how being well connected can reduce their own orphan rate, but how can they increase someone else's orphan rate?

Most pools are in at least decent datacenters, which happens to mean they have low latencies with the other pools since they're both close to backbone bandwidth providers. This reduces overall network orphan rate because the average time between block notifications between the majority of the network hash rate is significantly lower than what it would be between people just running on random local ISPs. At the same time, GHash.io has abysmal latency and/or absolutely no peers setup between pools, or they're purposely ignoring competing blocks sometimes based on the sheer number of orphan races they compete in. This is based on admittedly more casual observation rather than deep analysis, but I know other pool ops have been seeing more losing orphan races than usual as a result of ghash.io.

I'm more inclined to say incompetence over malice. I honestly think they don't have the slightest clue what they're doing when it comes to setting up a pool and bitcoind node, as demonstrated by their almost daily outages of either their public pool or private mining side (or both).

So you mean that GHash.IO are could be causing more orphan races than usual, rather than winning more orphan races than usual? Or both? Am I right in assuming that this is only an issue because they have such a large chunk of the pie?
