What happened with slush's NMC mining?
That is already dead for several months.

Why? NMC is a by-product from mining BTC is it not? Does he pocket the NMC himself? "Back in the day" I earned a lot of those.. So now Slush earns them all? If that's the story then... Wow.

And another thing about people who say their 60Gh/s mining rig is now worthless. Why is this so, please explain. Maybe you earn less BTC at this speed, but the value of BTC goes up against other currencies so what's the problem? You mine less BTC but the ones you do mine are worth more...

As stated before merged mining went out the door a few months ago.  NMC mining isn't compatible with slush's stratum.  Was only used with getwork which all support on this pool has ended.  If you want merged nmc go to another pool (bitminter for example)

well this all came to pass after their downtime upgrade of what was it a week or so ago.....not sure it that applies to all this math wise?

I know a lot of happy people who switched then to other pools..they are quite smug now

isbe you have been on this forum almost a year and you seem pretty clueless about Bitcoin, how does that work? where do you get 37 million Bitcoin from? there will only ever be 21 million and that is a long time from now.

"Seem" being the operative word here. You're running on assumptions. I only got the number wrong. Chill.

What's the story with Slush today.  My miners are showing up missing hash, particularly my Mercury is missing 30GH/s.  It hadn't been shut down but worried about the missing 30GH/s I shut it down and applied an earlier firmware that has always had good success.  CGminer hadn't indicated the Mercury was missing 30GH/s.  So, it's back up a half hour now with the earlier firmware and still Slush is reading 106745.175 while CGminer is showing: KnC 0:                | 181.6G/139.7Gh/s | A:57924 R:1580 HW:2321 WU:2073.6/m and the Mercury web page is showing MHS av=139781.74.

That's a lot of gigahash to have been missing all morning.

I've been pretty damn loyal to Slush since I started mining and I gotta say, what looks like missing hash seems to happen a LOT.  I realize there's some averaging that makes it slow to register but still.

I can't connect a new miner to a running worker or connect a new miner to a new worker. I get changing difficulty, connecting but never connect or don't get any shares.

The same thing happened a couple weeks ago after the upgrade, miners got disconnected and I couldn't reconnect them, so they moved out. I want to move back, but it may be to soon.

I have two blades pointed at 2 workers through one proxy. separate workers makes it easy to see if there is a problem.

I've got a transaction from Slush's today but its status is "Seen by 4 peers. Pending/Unconfirmed"

It's been like that for over 5 hours, dunno what I can do about it.

I want a new block
One that won't make me sick
One that won't crash my PC
Or make me feel three feet thick

I want a new block
One that won't hurt my head
One that won't make my mouth too dry
Or make my eyes too red

I want a new block
One that will go away
One that won't keep me up all night
One that won't make me sleep all day

I want a new block
One that does what it should
One that won't make me feel too bad
One that will make me feel too good

I want a new block
One with no doubt
One that won't make me talk too much (on the forums)
Or make my face break out

And so on. You get the point. And thanks to Huey Lewis & the News for a below-par song that was at least better than my version.
