@ Trongersol : Blades are happy 99.5% efficiency on Slush.... uptime 9 days now.

This is known as "regression to the mean" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regression_toward_the_mean). The next value after an extreme value is likely to be closer to the mean value. Mean block time for Slush is (about) 2.5 hours.

How many BFL miners are here? anyone care to share their experiences running them?

I have some 5ghs miners but I am very disappointed with them. I almost have downtime every single day due to various errors. In contrast I haven't got downtime with any of my ASICMINER HW (USBs and blades) eventhough I run those for a lot longer than the bloody BFLs.

BFL customer service is pretty much useless and at this point it doesn't even worth to send them back.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your BFL stuff. I am running two 5GH/s miners. One flashed to 8.1GH/s and the other putting out 7.3GH/s, also one Single running at an average of 59 GH/s. I have not had any problems with any of my BFL gear. I am not a fan of the company but I like the gear so far.

I also run 3 blades and some usb's from asic miner and a small kit from bitfury. All have been trouble free except the bitfury ate its rpi the other day. Running it on back up now.

What kind of errors are you getting from your 5GH/s miners?  Are you using Cgminer or BFGminer?

I'm running them on win7 /w bfgminer now. Basically they generate only rejects after a random number of shares submitted (usually after 150K, sometimes sooner), other times the software crashes or reports dead miners. Upon restart they work ok again. I have tried cgminer, but it was a lot worse than BFGminer (3.2.1 as of now), got ~30% reject with every version.

The temps are fine, they are usually at 38C, the max is 40C.

I'm at a loss. I would have just suggested to switch software, you did that. My Jals have been up to 49c with no errors. This is a curious situation. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can help you.

Thanks for trying to help. The funny thing is that BFL support is completely useless. they stopped responding after switching software didn't help much.

Is there a decent guide out there for reflashing them? I would give that a try, I might try to lower the performance a bit and see what effect does that have.

also have you tried swapping usb cables?
and are you plugging directly into mobo or powered hub?

They connect directly to the host.

Yes, I have tried a known good PSU, still the same problem also swapped USB cables to new ones.

I am getting the same thing happening to me desired_username.  Usually unexpected queue results.  Just downloaded bfgminer 3.2.1 and hoping this makes a difference.  Have a BFL 30 GH/s.  Just started happening a few days ago also.

Is there a way to change the pool settings, or a command line when using the Stratum Proxy? I have an Asicminer Blade v2, and it restarts due to the work not being fast enough, so it tops out at an average of 6 - 7 g/hs. But when I use a different pool that uses the old get work protocol, I max at 10.5 g/hs. Any ideas would be great.

The share of the pie is also time dependent. It is now about that number for the last 2016 blocks, according to http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/chart.php. This number of blocks takes about two weeks to find when difficulty doesn't change. With the current stable difficulty increase of about 31 % / period, it takes about 11 days. So the 6.6 % is an average over this period. For the period of last 24 hours, it's now about 7 %, but yesterday it has been moving around 2.5% only.

We're gaining hashing power quickly because BTC Guild is under DDoS attack and last I checked they were down to 150,000GHs - so all that power is spreading to other pools that people have setup as backups.

Now, does anyone know why our site is down?

I had to run a proxy service to get my v2 blade up to full power. I run between 9900- 12000 hs. hope that helps.\

Yes, I am experiencing the same website being down issue.  I doubt this is related but my block erupters all went offline around midnight eastern time.  They were trying to reconnect to the pool and couldn't until I rebooted my Raspberry Pi this monring.  They are usually very reliable, so it was weird.

Why all the DDOSs now?
