Yes yes, this is for you
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Late November batch of D3 currently available on bitmain.com  and the website is actually responsive, it's a miracle!

theres a reason for that, current daily profits for d3 are 40 bucks RIGHT NOW.

Imagine the income in December when this huge batch gets delivered. You're looking at 5 dollars a day, good luck getting an ROI

If current daily profit for d3 is $40 still very good return, but if too many X11 miners in the market might really distribute profits equally with higher difficulty. Let's hope there are more potential coins to be mined by end of the year.

I see people say that ^ . . are there actually any x11 coins in the works or already out that are really worth anything?
Nothing that I'm aware aside from Dash obviously

profits dipped lower today
https://www.nicehash.com/miner/1ADjxn4jCV91izZJJtTR62UPfjw1PtsAZF
Possibly Helium.....but it will take 10 new coins to help the poor bastards that paid $8,500.00 per unit form unscrupulous resellers.

I don't see how you can call resellers unscrupulous.  Like in the gold rush days, the people that made the money were the people that sold supplies to the miners.  Cheesy
No one is forcing people to buy at their prices.
I'm personally aware of a situation where a known reseller that has been doing this for a long time treated a poster in here like all buddy, buddy. This reseller, knowing full well that this kid was buying machines on credit, went ahead and sold him a miner for $8,500.00 knowing full well that the thing would NEVER see the light of day. This kid seems like a real good guy and he trusted this cat because he was "experienced". The "reseller" had ordered a huge quantity of D3's because he had made a KILLING on the L3+ back in July. So he got greedy and ordered 50 of them. Now I'm sure he's in a panic because he needs to dump them before too many people catch on that he is ripping them off for his own personal greed. Are you OK with that?? Is that the kids fault because some prick who only cares about money fucked him over?? Yeah I know, he should know better, but Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!?!?! Who the fuck needs people like these resellers that don't care about the protocols. don't know fuck all about the technology and are just here to rape and pillage to stuff their bottomless shitty pockets. If you buy 10 miners and sell 5 at double to pay for your hardware that's pretty OK if ya ask me. But this go around, a bunch of fucking maggots rolled through the batches and horded the shit out of the inventory so they could flip them. We all saw the scams and selling of orders and on and on. Fuck all that. I'm not OK with that.

No one forced this kid to buy a unit.  Sounds like an impulse buy because someone didn't want to wait.  Sorry, a reseller can ask whatever they want for something.  If it's too high you go without.
Yeah, I guess man. I can't really argue with that. Too bad. Mankind is a piece of shit for the most part. I guess that's just how it is. Not for me. I don't want to live like that. Whatever.

Do you know anyone that made money by being a saint? You either live on the streets or adjust to the notion eat or be eaten. If someone has 8500$ and gave it for an after September D3 has too much money for his brains.

this conversation doesnt have any sense

did he sold defective goods? no

did he had him on gunpoint to buy? no

did he threatened or forced him? no

so what is the problem, he sold that's it, if u buy candy and u didnt like it, it's your problem
Shut up assclown. No one asked you.

You only live once....if you do it right, once is enough.

I remember back a few years ago I made the mistake of buying these gridseed miners and spent 10k on them. The difficulty increased as the price of litecoin/dogecoin dropped so I was a bit upset. Pretty much mined millions of doge coin and had it stashed away never to be seen I think around 7-10 million. This reminds me of that time except I think I'll make more. And I did end up making a lot in the end.

Looking back you can win if you hold and wait, but less risky if you find a good time to buy coins. At the current time there is still upside potential which is why people are willing to buy at these prices.

For those paying 8-10k for the miners, I think it was too much. Probably a better idea to buy around 6-7k but people probably just mine with the machine at thst point.

There is risk involved like any other investment so please consider the risks before purchasing anything.

Well....what I will get when my D3 goes up (today or tomorrow)

https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/dash-mining-calculator/?h=17500.00&p=1000&pc=0.12&pf=0.00&d=4566805.05137939&r=1.80147602&er=0.08719137&btcer=4013.01410000&hc=0.00

At 17.5gh and 1000 watts I think I was told and 12c kwh I get

$45.71 after electric per day

Down from around $120 a day from a week ago I heard.... er 3k for this unit with the bitmain PSU and shpping/fees....and this could fall into the 'dubious' purchase history of my life

FYI

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

I still haven't gotten mine even though its been in thr country since the 20th. This is why i moved to thr Netherlands and will never move back to France. Between customs not releasing it before the weekend and the lazy employee that lied about a delivery attempt. I waited all day and cancelled appoitments yesterday. I have an appointment at 8am thos morning, in 30 minutes. If i don't have it the police will get involved.

I came back for a week to pick this up and finalize some business in France, I've been here for 5 days and still don't have it.

After reading this thread and tracking the roi trend in the last 7 days its pretty obvious that resellers are going to start dumping their stock soon.

Take a quick look at the altcoin market place ppl are dumping their D3s (every 2nd 3rd post is a WTS Oct, Nov batch D3). Some even in hand selling for 1 BTC.
Looking at bitmains website the D3 was available to order for hours and no one touched it and it didn't sell out. At time of writing this you can still order one from Bitmain for 1450 USD Nov batch. https://shop.bitmain.com/main.htm?lang=en

Lessons I learned from this is never ever pay or trust a large reseller like Cryptocrane et al. and just because they have HUGE stock doesn't mean they wont fleece you like sheep.

I called out Cryptocrane (CC) on the bitsonline.com website (https://bitsonline.com/antminer-d3-first-look-review/) for scalping people shamelessly and its apparent now that they are crapping their pants and offering a 15% discount on their D3 that are in hand (10,000 > 8,500).
Ross or whoever deleted their post on bitsonline but the jist of it was that the commenters called them out for scalping.

Funny part is that CC thought that at 10,000$ these would still be profitable. Roll Eyes
I'd bet a D3 that you wont get your 10,000 back before the warranty on these things run out.

I hope they get stuck with them and a D3++ launches in a next month or so and unscrupulous reseller and scalpers are left holding an ASIC that isnt worth the materials its made of anymore.
Im not against cloud sigma and other resellers who have reasonable markups and offer value added services like hosting. Just these greedy af reseller like CC who want unrealistically expensive prices for their miners (6 to 7 times the amount for their D3).

I hope their stocks sell at a loss so that they learn to leave some of others and learn to share.
When I tried to give CC feedback that they were charging too much they didnt even respond and deleted their posts.
Good to know we can put a face to these greedy people now through their videos. What they do aint illegal but its the kinda shit you hear about and shake your head.

Agree with you bigjee and it looks even worse one of the largest resellers started this thread. I'm happy for the most part with all my bitmain purchases but the snakes in this industry are concentrated and relentless.

I've been working on an Android device that helps miners with an old circuit board professional who used to work for one of the larger motherboard companies we all know. He wants to test the device using several things like time stamping and I suggested he launch a coin for it and then let the coins Blockchain help with his needs. It could be big it's a nice piece of hardware. We all want to see x11 blossom so I'll argue with him on reasons why it would be better for his product than using Ethereum. Wish me luck.

Hi, I have problem with high chip temperatures on one D3 asic miner.
Miner works on default settings, one of chips have temperature - 79c, rest 2 chips have 65-69c, automatic fan speed is set to 4800 rpm.
This is strange because all other miners works with chip temperatures in range 61-73c and fan speed on them is about 4100 rpm.
Only that 1 miners is different, anyone know what is problem here, how to make him work like other miners? He hashing normaly under mentioned conditions, no HW errors (maybe few), I hope it can work like other miners...

I cheated.......I need the equip deduction...I can pay the tax man 50% of income (one has consequences on 4.15 LTC to 50.00 LTC for the 2nd 1/2 of the year) or I can take
that 50% ..aim it at 'dubious' equipment (and pray) and than also off that get 100% off equip deduction in 1 year (vs usual 5 years) due to USA stimulus thing on biz equipment
...that adds another 25% real $$$ from Taxes I know I will owe...thus for 25% more risk than just taking the 50% tax pay to tax man...I can get 'dubious equip)

by the by now all bitmain equipment is dubious even to me......so essentially if I get 25% back from the equip its a wash....anything more and I'm golden...

so that is my angle (or situation)

but again the above was calculated....2 D3's (er maybe the 2nd D3 I got because everyone else wanted one....got caught in the hype) and the 3 L3+'s coming middle
of October

took my best shot...from now till Jan 1st I just ride and pay whatever income tax to the tax man I need to by Jan 1st, 2018......but w/o the above equipment I'd be
crying just as much as I am now..so again a wash.....

(Bitmain: doing evil clutches on miners since day 1.....(tm bitmain)
