You have probably considered all this already, please ignore if its of no use Rather than attempt to put Devcoin on it's own page, could other Bitcoin/altcoin/digital currencies page be expanded to include a list of forks and show Devcoin as one? OR can you work it through the programmers bio about who developed the fork?...is he well known enough to have anything written about him/he or his/her work (universities etc?) Also if I am using all the wrong jargon its because its not my stock in trade, bring back plain English I say! Yeah once upon a time a fork was something you used to be put food in your mouth... I think other pages could write about devcoin but it would take them to agree to do that. If you look at other crypto pages (stablecoin/mastercoin) they have same issue with deletion. Wiki open source support - that's what I thought, but it's not how wikipedia works. The main criteria is notability, not content or subject or worth. For example there's a dogecoin article - that's simply on basis that there are loads of news reports about it by mainstream 'trusted' sources.

Devcoin has a market cap of over 3 Million USD and is one of the oldest alternative cryptocurrencies - it is notable. It also has the primary innovation of receiver files, and the funding of open source projects worldwide.
It is notable - it is time to rewrite the article and make a complaint to someone higher up regarding this moderators actions / OPINION so that the page is not deleted.
Anyone can find some rule in Wikipedia to delete any page / part of an article.
We need to rewrite the page and make a formal complaint to someone higher, to get a secdond opinion regarding this moderator who is trying to destroy the page.
Coinmarketcap.com is not a "press releases, press kits, or similar works", neither is an online blog - so it is just that moderators OPINION that a blog is not suitable.
Everyone has a conflict of interest - the moderator probably despises alt coins - the same thing happened with the LTC Wikipedia page a year ago (we should probably use the LTC and BTC Wikipedia pages as a kind of template for the DVC one).
The LTC page references bitcointalk, the LTC forums, Bitcoin whitepaper, Litecoin.org and similar sites - we can do the same and reference Devtome too.
If anyone makes substantial changes to the DVC Wikipedia page - please make sure to keep a copy (as well as the history which Wikipedia keeps) so that if our moderator friend deletes the changes we can easily add them back in later.
EDIT: also isn't DVC on GitHub too? That can also be referenced
I quoted the market cap, references to age, receiver files, devtome, github, gitorious. I used the bitcoin, litecoin, peercoin pages as templates. I already rewrote the page from the initial post to make it as neutral as possible. It's not the 'content' that's the problem now, it's just the 'notability'. If you want to make a complaint then go for it although I'd recommend you first read the article/some of the links I posted before taking a viewpoint.

I think it looks great - thanks for all of your work. When I have time I may make some more changes / add some more refs. When the LTC page was first started there was not a lot of media coverage and the page survived - after a fight for it! I advise anyone reading this who wants DVC on Wikipedia to join the discussion surrounding the Devcoin page on Wikipedia - and also go through the proper channels to raise objections to the article deletion (I think you can do this from the discussion page on Wikipedia). If enough of us add more references / content to the Devcoin page on Wikipedia - and raise objections to the deletion the page will survive. We shouldn't just give up - let's keep DVC on Wikipedia where it belongs!

As the most popular alt coin exchange I believe having DVC / BTC trading on Cryptsy will benefit our very special coin immensely. Everyone please vote for the suggestion on Cryptsy to add DVC / BTC trading and leave a comment too! https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/63863

Converting to BTC makes the sensible choice for selling. Especially since we've signed up a lot of new users and BTC prices are high. However, even at this price, BTC's recent highs are being offset so much that sellers of DVC may as well be dumping for around 20-30 satoshi. Really not a wise choice. It seems best to me to sell at the end of a DVC round or after a massive BTC dump as coins move into alts.
Just my two bits.

People are dumping bitcoins too. Both bitcoins and devcoins have been available cheap lately.
A great time to be a buyer.
Place buy orders below current prices in steps downward, and as they sell put them back on the sell side above current prices going up in steps.
Nice income to be made that way.
It goes in waves, a while back all my sell orders up through 193 Satoshis per coin got bought, then came this downward move where more and more cheaper and cheaper buy orders are getting taken up giving me more devcoins with which to replenish my sell orders ready for the next upswing.

Round 31 just finished, so round 30 got paid? (I think) so it is probably more a reflection of Devtomes payout than dumping.. but I dont trade so I dont know its just a guess

Anyone know why people are dumping their DVC?
Some of them are probably new Devcoiners who really need the money. Everyone should sell responsibly (across all 3 exchanges- Cryptsy, Crypto-trade and Vircurex) to spread out their sell orders. They should also place sell orders on the sell side - instead of dumping into the buy orders and lowering the price - this way they would actually get a higher price for their DVC too. If everyone did this it would actually benefit us all - as the DVC exchange rate would stay more stable.Don't worry though - I have seen DVC increase immensely in popularity this last month - I believe DVC will see new highs this coming year

Weekend Board Updates
Site will be in a weird spot for DNS a short period while I migrate servers. Currently it's on a test server and it's conflicting with the domain for some folks. Since the site isn't technically *live* as it's unfinished I wasn't too worried but this needs to happen so I may as well do it now.
I'll be working on thread moderators appointed by OP
Nova was working on the email portion of the site but has released his code. TMK it is half finished. If anyone wants to pick that up please do so. Otherwise if enough time goes on I'll jump on this. I'm plenty busy without it though.

Lets make 2014 the year of devcoin by raising our sell limits above way higher! I dont sell my coins on the basis that a wave will end with a bull run that wont retrace.. so you will be left off the ride.. imagine if it kept going? You would buy higher then? I been around stocks too long to see this.. its coiled up thats why Im not selling hoping to double coins by selling and buying back because when the real move up comes I know I will make way more by just focusing on earning now and holding. Liquidity is inportant but its up to us on where that should be in price.

I am hodling. Thats the only strategy for Devcoin that makes sense to me. 1. The bigger public is not yet involved. 2. Devcoins coin inflation has been steep and will continue to be steep for years compared to other coins. 3. The idea behind Devcoin requires more time to grow and be understood than Bitcoin. Greed and speculation is much less of an aspect of its price right now. Could be more than 3 years before this one starts to shine. I am perfectly comfortable with that thought. Hodle for me
