I'm not a "turn the other cheek" guy. The other ass cheek, maybe.

How would you draw that distinction? I've beaten the market every year for the past 5 years, which is incredibly rare even among professionals (I do not dismiss the element of luck as a major factor, but I think it's a little silly to believe it was the only thing involved). I have been paid to invest for others in the past.

No, I am not currently employed as an analyst.

However, given the context of that post - which is extremely important - it is clear that the definition intended is this one:

amateur: a person considered contemptibly inept at a particular activity.

and not this one

amateur: a person who engages in a pursuit, esp. a sport, on an unpaid basis.

On that basis, no. I am not an amateur analyst. This "contemptibly inept" person has made a lot of money on ASICMiner derivatives, otherwise.

Can we get a moderator in here please?

I remember you from raginazn628's other thread.

OP hasn't been online for 5 days now.
He lied about having the btc converted and not being able to refund them. The whole thing reeks of scam.

/snip

Anyone else living on the East Coast here and wants to go on a little road trip to OP's house? I'll take a bat (and a ball just in case we get stopped). I am busy till end of September though.

Threats of physical violence are fine, but this thread needs a moderator.

This is exactly what I mean about the viciousness and vitriol in this community.

Um, I wasn't really serious about the bat. I was serious about the drive, but things appear to have started moving and I have no intention on spending $80 on gas.

Also: your logical fallacy is tu quoque - you attempted to critique me instead of answering the criticism.

That's fucking disgusting. You'd make an implied death threat, than later play it off as something you "weren't serious" about? The person on the other end of your threats has no gauge of your intentions.

And you misunderstand my position. I'd love nothing more than to see moderators restore some civility around here, since I wouldn't be defending my person every time I make an argument about ASICMiner, and since people making threats of violence would receive the appropriate bans.

I think if we just keep it on topic and not talk about each other's ear wax or whatever the fuck you guys talk about, things will be fine.

As much as I love Vycid, he does post a lot, and some things are definitely off-topic.  But, he's certainly not the only one to distract this thread. So, maybe we can reduce the postings to just a few dozen an hour and try and keep them at least on the subject of bitcoin...

What do you think?  Can we self moderate?

And if you can't help yourself, and you just wanna chat/troll, go over to the labcoin thread, that's what it's there for.

Ok then trying to stay on subject but thinking about difference stuff. What if Friedcat posted an update with something like:

"It was a cool journey and we all gained alot of money but we are moving on. We are buying back all the shares at IPO price effective immediately. Thank you all for the wonderful experience."

What would you do? And what would happen to the mining and bitcoin related securities scene. Ok lets start digging the wax from each others' ears.

 Grin

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

it would be sueable breach of contract, resulting in destroying friedcat's reputation, meaning he wouldn't sell any USB miner ever :-) I am not worried about this

sub .01 div?  I don't think so.  There are enough hardware sales alone to make .01

I seem to remember a discussion in the main thread of around 3000 btc of hardware revenue that didn't get included last week, plus whatever was sold this week.

On a strange note, the hash rate seems to be spiking, we'll wait to see what it averages out on the 48 hour estimate, but 24 hour sees a decent rise.

vyc, you are a extreme tool bag who has the incessant need or plea for attention, regardless of whether you think you are defending yourself, people have opinions which are going to be opposite of yours,

You spend all your time for what the put options that you made your money on one time due to more competition being put into the mining market and write off words that you learned off of investopedia? no body cares seriously and its annoying having to see your posts and it is ONLY YOU posting over and over and over and over,

get over yourself, you wanted to start your own hedge fund and believe that you have credibility, there was so much faceplam and head shaking that overwhelmed me when I saw you said this,

the options market must be a serious money maker for you considering that it has to explain itself what a put and call option is, not to mention that the price of the premium doesnt change or act anything like it would in the real markets,

Go ahead man defend yourself because im "attacking" you and we live in olden times where you have to defend your online honor...........

there are only a handful of people who I deem to believe are extremely pathetic and you are definitely one of them on this forum, here is your award for the time you invested into defending yourself..... *drum roll*........... NOTHING.

You know what is more disgusting than someone threatening someone when money is stolen from them and many others?

the piece of shit person that couldnt do the right thing and led people on in order to just rip them off and steal their hard earned money, its not first thing that comes to mind or anything when someone steals from you, anytime ive had someone take money from me I just wanted to give them hugs and take care of their family after... Oh wait No I didnt
