well the guys that jumped in for 1300-1500 on black friday will wait  til april 1  or  125-130 days.

still remains to be seen if it will be worth that wait for them.

but I think they will get gear.

quite a leap of faith for them.

Meanwhile  in the 40 days since  black friday I earned  quite a bit  on my gpus's and s-9's

and will earn more  from now til april 1.

It is definitely the Innosilicon control board and Innosilicon is involved in this. How much, I can't say for sure.

Maybe you are right and you know more, but a loft of manufacturers dont build the own boards.
I dont know if Inno is doing, therefor I did not saw it ever.
They maybe just buying the same boards, like the same case, like the same power connectors and a similar or same powersupply.

I believe you that you know more in this point, but please show me a proof like the patent number or building history etc. why you know this piece of green board is 100% from the manufacturing halls of Innosilicon or at least from the drafts of them.

This would be really an important piece of information, if you can proof that this green board IS 100% INNOSILICON.
Hmmm ... yeah ... if they would be not involved, they would say: NO (why not)

This partnership with Myrig.com is the most positive thing that has happened so far,

but I'm affraid their retail price will be really really high, the same as with the S9 miners.

For cooling there seems to be two pieces Delta TFC1212DE, front and back, in a push-pull configuration.

And I think I now know why the miner web configuration page was just like with the Innosilicon A5 and A4+.
The DragonMint miner has the exact same controller board.

Also the steel case tube looks a lot like the one Innosilicon uses for the A5 and A4+.

One detail to also pay attention  is that the Innosilicon control board uses reversed PWM signal for the cooling fan control.
This method is not that commonly used.
Delta TFC1212DE are cooling fans that are controlled with a reversed PWM signal.
DragonMint and Innosilicon A4+, A5 miners use these cooling fans.
This detail also supports my theory.

Well  I could make a very long list of mistakes the builder did.

I won't   do that.   As moq's of 5    not too bad  you need a partner.  I been doing this a long time.  Buying 1 unit  is not smart  as the gear breaks. So to  have 2 or 3 units allows for switching out  and blending the gear.

A 1300-1400 watt at the plug miner  is not for home use.  It is hot and loud you need a place for them.  Having a few will help a lot.

Having 1 piece not so much.

Based on its size  they could have done moq's of 4  and fit them in a bigger box. the one below for instance  would fit 4 units  in boxes like the s-9 are in.  I know this as I have sold  sets of 4  S-7s  packed in this box.

Well of course I'd love to have 5, but I'm planning to trickle all my btc earnings back into more machines, slowly, grow without going out on a limb. I just don't have that much extra to plow into it. I had the spare bedroom wired up w/4 220 outlets, and I have one bad investment limping along already. Hopefully another, healthier machine will arrive in March. I'll probably buy again in May and who knows what's going to happen between now and then, 3 months ago eth was 300! It's a guesstimate, always.

You didn't notice the detail that I mentioned earlier in this thread. It also has the exact same miner web configuration user interface, so it has the same software as the Innosilicon A4+ and A5.

What advantage would Innosilicon get from "partnering" with another mining manufacturer?

If they are providing all the intellectual knowledge, design, implementation, etc. what do they get out of it?

Manufacturers often collaborate on projects. Intel and AMD have worked and continue to work together, automotive manufacturers, ect. Knowledge is truly power. Glad to see the MyRig partnership was announced!

You cannot lie. Intel and AMD working togehter: It sounds wrong, but its true

But you are right. Inno has a perfect infrastructure and another partner is not in the need of the dev work.
They just can conentrate of the chip design (hopefull).
And Inno can have a benefits on it - they are maybe not selling parts only - but knowledge.
And they will stay concentrated on their chip design.

It will stay interesting the next time.

I wonder if MyRig would offer hosting for the DragonMint miner when and if they start to be sold. They've done that for most of the miners they sold and I'd probably be down for a unit or two if hosting is available.

well guys you can always do what I did go 80-20   

80 = gpus
20 = asics.

I am getting a demo rig on weds day 13 gpus in a sealed case.  A german builder.
I will do a demo and compare it to some of my diy gpu builds.

I just wish asic builders were a bit more approachable then they are.

 I buy steady and often been doing this since 2012.  I don't plunge in with both feet anymore. 

What I would really like to see is for asic builders to sell the chips once in a while.  Does not happen often.
