... eAsic's 28nm not very mature? Lol! eAsic has been working on 28nm at least since 2010. Also, Seagate just announced their investment with them on the 28nm tech, but of course, what would Seagate know, right? I see the Seagate deal isn't hushed by a NDA, Y U think that is Actually it looks to be able to the same, We know Seagate is working with eASIC We know ActM is working with eASIC That's pretty much the extent of it, however ActM is not a large company and eASIC doesn't want to do a "press release" about working with them like they would with Seagate. Also eASIC put out that press release so it would be up to eASIC to do that for ActM not Ken. Not sure what you're driving at. eAsic announced in a press release that it got money from Seagate. Ken wants us to believe that he was "allowed to tell us" that he converted BTC to USD at the worst possible time, weeks after the fact. If that sounds plausible to you, Ken's *own finances* covered by NDA with eAsic, then Y U be hatin' on pones? Edit: Why do you think eAsic made Ken sign such a sweeping NDA, and ... does he also have to put his hand in eAsic's back pocket, look pretty and keep his mouth shut? Edit2: Did anyone even bother asking *the rate* at which your BTC was turned into fiat lol?

28 nm isn't a magical thing. If your chip is a copy-paste of a FPGA, it's not going to be very good, 28 nm or not. For example, BitFury's chips, at 55 nm, might be better. And then there's the cost of production.
Vbs mentions that eAsic's 28 nm is "mature". Yet no one claimed it isn't. Classical fallacy: criticize what isn't the opinion of your opponents, to appear right.
Copy/paste of an FPGA? LOL! You should try to understand first how are ASICs designed! Sure, eAsic doesn't want to disclose much about it's 28nm technology. Probably because it's not very mature. For all we know, it might not work that well yet.
But whatever. The NDA shouldn't prevent anyone from talking about PCBs, pin-outs for the chip, packaging, facilities, and all the other thing that are going to be needed to get these systems up and hashing.
I see that after a week out the thread didn't move much! eAsic's 28nm not very mature? Lol! eAsic has been working on 28nm at least since 2010. Also, Seagate just announced their investment with them on the 28nm tech, but of course, what would Seagate know, right? Classical reading comprehension fail.

So you have nothing to say but "lol" to valid concerns? And you're supposed to be the knowledgeable guy of this thread? You didn't raise any "valid concern" that wasn't already replied before extensively.

Thank you for raising this. I wasn't paying enough attention when it happened to detail it myself. Pretty obvious what went down there and it's the loving shareholders who got left holding the bag again. He fucked up the other big btc conversion too, didn't he? Personally I think everything behind the scenes in actm is quite possibly going fantastic. This is just yet another market play by Ken. He's been pulling stunts like this since the first IPO. Please don't anyone take that as advice to invest in actm either. It is quite, quite the opposite.

BitFury's 3GH chip at 55nm is going to outperform ActM's 28nm eAsic chip? keep dreaming kiddo

heheheh looks like .004 has been breached and all the support at .0038 has been pulled. In fact there is no support to be seen at all - looks like ActiveMining will continue to tank for the foreseeable future down to IPOv2 levels of .0025

My (little) understanding of eASIC tech, and the reason why ActM went for eASIC was fast build (to production) of the ASIC chip, be cheaper and more efficient than FPGA. Its as if eASIC has has 'APIs' built to go from requirements to build fast, unlike full custom. This means they would lack in other areas, such as performance and power usage compared to full custom. To me its eASIC is like .net or Java, vs full custom which is like C or assembler.

Their process is very real and is efficient "enough" to have heavy tech partners wanting to do chips with them. If any of those weren't satisfied they would have jumped ship a long time ago. It's a semi-custom process more like "C vs ASM" and they are already on their 3rd chip design revision (Nextreme-3@28nm) with several patents on their process.

Is Ken waiting for the avalon chips? because Avalon will be receiving 400k chips this Wednesday and will be delivering for orders made in June and later. http://imgur.com/vcI1PAC

Interesting comparison since Java runs nearly as fast (50-105%) as C in many applications. The JVM is very efficient. http://benchmarksgame.alioth.debian.org/u64q/java.phpAlso, assembly is rarely faster than C because the compilers know more optimizations than most programmers.

What activemining needs is some good ol' cheerleading from stuart, come on guy where are you? Kenneth needs you to spam "NDA" every time the share price goes down.

it's kind of weird. they need to be putting out: more real, news etc their competitors are putting more info about their progress than AMC is and this can't go on forever under "NDA" there must be some kind of progress reporting happening

it seems that some people are very good at posting troll posts in the top slots of each page.
that must be good for business for you. how much extra do you get for top posts vs. post lower on the page?

I think it may be a good idea that following the soon to be released news announcement, someone collates a pile of questions from shareholders and presents them to Ken for his attention.
It's unclear how much info will be made available and what topics will be covered by this announcement, so I suggest we start the Q & A immediately following.
For people to offer up questions at this stage may not be such a good idea given how little we know about the content of this annoucement.
Also, given this threads ability to mask important information perhaps we should also post the Q & A on the first page?
Cheers.
