PLL... whaa?

External Clock of 25MHz with no PLL scaling = 3.51A
External Clock of 25MHz with PLL scaling to 32MHz = 4.40A

Think of PLL as a definable clock multiplier.

Edit - I am sure the customers will feel relieved to know the sensors work but what about those chips and the delivery date(s)?

It depends on which device you are talking about, how much you paid for it, what you think the next few difficulty adjustments will be and how far out you're projecting the horizon.

in BTC about -60% to -70% with 4 extra modules to be delivered mid of February (assume paid 50 BTC make back 10 BTC with 1 module until end of January and expect to make back 5 - 10 BTC back with 4 extra modules starting with mid of February - have the Difficulty jumps in mind if the competitors start to deliver early next year)

assume to expect the intial delivery of them just before christmas. it's more realistic.

That doesn't even make sense as a response. You need to make assumptions to have an accurate estimate. I have my assumptions and I do have my personal ROI calculation. If you disagree with my assumptions, then you'll have a different estimate. Neither of us "don't know", we disagree on the assumptions. Asking questions liike "what's the ROI" does not have an absolute truth. You should know this.

Sorry, I can't enjoy my champagne. first I have to know if the will also deliver the 4 extra modules along with the initial shipment to make their customers (investors) happy and in a good mood to come back and by more from HF.

They wont do that. Is sugested that and the answer was a big no long time ago. The ugrade chips are coming after the 2nd batch and the MPP chips after 31st of January. They could have done the things well time ago by switching the BJs into the sierras to compensate, but as their schedule was to deliver by late December they are doing the things really well covering their back with legal tos.

By the way, did I miss the part of how much hashing power is the chip mining or they just wanted to post some technical update that says "we are still testing the chip" and we have no pcbs 

They haven't actually gotten the chip working at full speed yet.  I believe they got it hashing at it's lowest possible speed and then had trouble getting the temp sensor working which they needed to work out before increasing speed to avoid burning up the chip.

A few things to note on the CT vs HF rackmount unit:
-CT is using server PSU, designed to be in a server with the correct airflow and for this reason have a lot of free space in the rest of the case that seems to be used in an intelligent way. So much for john@amsterdam conference: "We are going to make the sierra units 4U (from the 2U design) because server PSU are expensive, you know".
-CT is not putting the radiator in front of the server, as HF is doing. In HF's way the boards will have to trough an airflow of warm (if not hot) air. That is just plain stupid, HF. Move the PSU to the front of the server and the radiators to the back, please.

If they used Bitpay, how would one tell if they kept BTC or had Bitpay instantly convert to $USD? If they instantly converted to $USD, then refunds in BTC are completely out of the question in my opinion.
