I once read an article that says bitcoin is used as a payment transaction for terrorists and hackers. And maybe you guys in this forum also already know it. But here i want to convey my personal opinion in that matter. I think that internet and bitcoin interrelated. Many terrorists and criminals use internet .so also with bitcoin which used perpetrator However, despite all these issues, do people make concrete efforts to ban the internet? No. Not because removing and banning Bitcoin is difficult, but because the internet offers more positive than negative. For the same reason, we have to be more careful about our mindset for Bitcoin, because much evidence has shown that Bitcoin brings many positive, if not more, effects than the internet. Internet and Bitcoin are just devices that 'bad guys' and 'good people'. Fortunately, the world is filled with more people in the 'good people' category.
I believe yes because it is a mode of payment which is anonymous and easier to use even in illegal transactions. I have heard of the same news as well since it is in the main stream, there are news and facts shared by the people about it. However, it also brings negative feedback about bitcoin but as users, what we need to do about it is just to use it appropriately. |

Sad to say but bitcoin is the easiest way for criminals to transfer or launder money as it is hard to trace. These are the cons for anonymity. Criminals will always find ways to transfer funds and the government also will find ways to catch them If you feel sad you should not join a criminal team that has no responsibility for doing so. I don't like people who use Bitcoin for that. |

Criminals have always used technical innovations for their criminal purposes. No exception is the crypto currency, which allows the use of money anonymously and without outside control. But it does not come out of this that the crypto currency should be banned. In road traffic accidents involving the use of cars in the world, many more people die than from military conflicts. Nobody raises the question of banning cars because of this.

Yes, for some criminals already use bitcoin as a means of transaction.
They are clever enough to remove traces, because bitcoins are hard to track.
For that we must be more careful, especially against the hackers.

criminals prefer bitcoin more than fiat money because it's anonymous, safe,... Like silk road, bitcoin was it's main payment. |

Yes, they are using it for stealing your money if you gonna invest in bitcoin, and their plan has finish before saying alot of bitcoin information maybe they gonna talk to you like a sales talk, then of course you will become interested. After you invest they will gonna be hacking or stealing your money before you injest your money in bitcoin so be careful those people who are trying to hypnotizing you when we talk about bitcoin...

Yeah it's true.bitcoin is used by criminals but it is not fault of bitcoin. Bad people use bitcoin for their transactions. Why people blame bitcoin. thats not fair.

Yes of course. the criminals find it very easy to Occur their criminal activities through Bitcoin. because Bitcoin can be used hiding self identity and this seems a great opportunity to the criminals .so they can occur their criminal activities very easily .specially the hackers love Bitcoin for hacking. There are so many stories here in this forum that accounts has been hacked.

But my question is, does the criminal use fiat money ? Fiat money is centralized and regulated by the governments and banks, but is there no criminal activity when there was no decentralized money?

As bitcoin is a decentralize platform and the user can be annoymous this indeed increase the usage of criminals and bad people. However how will you define bad a person with good intentions for example he might be trying to hack someone else bitcoin to help someone in need or someone hack bitcoin for his own greed.

Everything is used by criminals, not just Bitcoin. For sure, the great majority of the criminals are using fiat. The more dangerous ones are definitely using fiat. They are the ones who are wearing suits and are occupying high positions in the governments of different countries and in the top executive positions of various international companies. In the low level, even scissors and frying pans and pins are used by criminals as well.
