Everything is used by criminals, not just Bitcoin. For sure, the great majority of the criminals are using fiat. The more dangerous ones are definitely using fiat. They are the ones who are wearing suits and are occupying high positions in the governments of different countries and in the top executive positions of various international companies. In the low level, even scissors and frying pans and pins are used by criminals as well.

You know I have no any doubts no matter are bitcoins used by criminals or not because even DOLLARS or EUROS can be used by bad guys. I think if  guys from governments will think better then they will legalize it and then good guys pay taxes and bad guys go in jail! That's all! But they have  another plans)

Most probably there are criminals using bitcoin as payment for illegal deals with drugs, weapons or even slaves. It's the dark shadow on cryptos reputation.

Bitcoin is used by criminals, this is nothing new. They always look for new ways how to make money illegaly, how to launder money and how to escape low in any way. Bitcoin is still harder to trace than fiat transactions so it's convenient for criminals. I think that's just the opinion of some people. Not everything in bitcoin is a criminal, only a small part I think. Indeed bitcoin is difficult to track because it is anonymous. So surely there are some criminals who use this as a place they cheat or other.

Thats one of the weakness of bitcoin but its not big deal which can lead bitcoin down in price.
Its normal if something popular like bitcoin can be used for everything include criminal.

Any form of currency has illegal users,  I guess the anonymity of bitcoin  makes it favorite among criminals to make any illegal activities. Bitcoins lack regulation and there is no way to retrieve bitcoins that has been stolen,  so it is easy to stole it and run away.

How come have you never heard about Silk Road - the biggest darknet platform? After its founder (Ross Ulbricht) was arrested in 2013 FBI seized about 26k BTC from accounts on Silk Road and 144k BTC from Ross Ulbricht's personal account! The truth is BTC is no longer truly anonymous cryptocurrency.
