Is bitcoin used by criminals ?

It is believed that BTC has been a good way for drug dealers, fraudsters and the lots to do transactions. Which is why it is also a threat to some government and countries.

But thats what life is all about..... There will always be the negative vibes to a larger quota of \good and Positivity.

Although bitcoin can be used by anyone including bad guys, to be used to save the proceeds from corruption or for terrorist financing, I think they will rethink to store their crime results in bitcoin, because bitcoin prices can go up and down no one can predict, if the price bitcoin down very low will harm them.

Yeah, you are right. Bitcoin have been used in any transaction online that can be legal or an illegal; terrorism, pornography, and hackers. Also I saw it too with my eyes watch.

Banning bitcoin is not logical answer to the issues like misuse of it. Criminals also use regular fiat currency for their transactions but government never banned it. Transformation and up-gradation of the entire process is a viable solution in my opinion. Even if criminals are using cryptocurrencies, at some point there must be fiat used somewhere so it is not difficult to hunt down such folks.

I think bitcoin is also used by criminals and terrorists as a payment for their illegal actions but they can not do anything about money too. And by using bitcoin their transactions are safer since detecting any government agency so you can say that bitcoin is by their side more.

Yes, bitcoin is sometimes used by criminals especially by those inclined in the crime of kidnapping and then asking for ransoms. Because it was nearly impossible to trace the user and it's overall security that it gives. moreover, bitcoin has been the main target of internet hackers in the past few years mainly because of its high monetary value.

Due to its value and popularity, many criminals was engaged to used bitcoin as an online payment. Bitcoins may be challenging to track because of its  decentralized system and no paperworks required, so criminals can do some illegal transactions.
For these reasons, we should all be very careful in how we think about Bitcoin, because most evidence suggests Bitcoin to have the same net positive effect, if not more, than the internet. Criminals can use anything in the world, this may be USD, EUR, RUB, CNY, JPY, anything in other word. There is no need to mention BTC for criminal activity and other bad purposes here.

I also think it is not bitcoin's fault if criminals are using it. Bitcoin has many advantages which is beneficial to its users and criminals make use of this. They take this as an opportunity to make their plans work. Criminals will always be criminals no matter the platform they are using.

im agreed... bitcoin as likes silence currency... thats way criminals took that for money laundry or many others bad purpose.

yes criminals are always there anywhere, so need to be careful for it. I also feel anxious if my bitcoin account is hacked by hackers and I also think not to keep a lot of coins in my account.

Well I think theres is no impossible that those criminals wouldn't hesitate to use bitcoin in some illegal matters because it is true that it is not a trackable business and since it is convenient and easy to transact than using fiat in transaction so it isn't impossible right. Hence, internet today is only an ordinary means and anyone who knows how to use it I guess those criminals are too smart to use it in their bad intentions.

Everything has both positive and negetive sides. If most of the people of the world use Bitcoin as a means of future currency it is positive but if they use it in  criminal activities, that is bad.
