If the government decided to ban all the means of payment that criminals use, we would not have any currency left. Bitcoin can't be considered a currency for criminals, it's all an exaggeration.

I believe this view is just a product of the negativity of the naysayers. Criminals use dollars and euros, and all the other coins in the world. But that doesn't make us stop using them.

I have read many articles about the issue. Some of them assert that before BTC explosion ( a few years ago) it used to be a payment method for various illegal activities. However, most countries are not worried about these activities. Unfortunately, they are concerned about the decentralization of industries and losing control of everything!

I once read an article that says bitcoin is used as a payment transaction for terrorists and hackers. And maybe you guys in this forum also already know it. But here i want to convey my personal opinion in that matter. I think that internet and bitcoin interrelated. Many terrorists and criminals use internet .so also with bitcoin which used perpetrator However, despite all these issues, do people make concrete efforts to ban the internet? No. Not because removing and banning Bitcoin is difficult, but because the internet offers more positive than negative. For the same reason, we have to be more careful about our mindset for Bitcoin, because much evidence has shown that Bitcoin brings many positive, if not more, effects than the internet. Internet and Bitcoin are just devices that 'bad guys' and 'good people'. Fortunately, the world is filled with more people in the 'good people' category.
Unfortunately, what you have confessed might be a true reality in life that Bitcoin instead of being used for good purposes was now being abusively used by those people to satisfy their bad habits when it comes to their self satisfaction in bad terms which is by means of getting into drugs which somehow makes the image of Bitcoin bad that instead of helping other people who are reall in need, it seems like it becomes the way to ruin one person's life because it is making the transaction of buying drugs that easy which is not really intended to be the use of Bitcoin. |

I have heard about assassins through Bitcoin and drugs being traded online. Some terrorists use it to handle weapons.
And Bitcoin can not be considered a criminal currency, it's all over. There is often a common misconception that most use Bitcoin by criminals.
People may not be able to immediately connect that identity, but once they do, they can keep track of all the things you've done on the net work of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a neutral virtual money, so it can be used for negative or positive things, you make a decision.

The anonymity is playing a big role here for the criminals because they can easily do illegal transactions with bitcoin because it is untraceable and that is a huge advantage for them because the authorities cannot detect them if they are doing or making illegal transactions or deals with the use of bitcoin so just like the regular currencies, it is expected. |

I guess so, I have heard the news that terrorists and some criminals are funded easily right now through bitcoin and cryptocurrency. And authorities cannot easily track them.  The latest popular news is the hacked HBO case and the hacker requesting a BTC ransom. Actually not a bitcoin cause, but people who use it. If used for positive things will be more useful. |

Anyone can use bitcoin and it is not impossible that it is also used by criminals in doing crimes. Because it is easy to use for transactions, it is also easy to use in doing illegal activities. Criminals also feel secured and safe in doing crimes because of bitcoin pseudo-anonymity that keeps the real identity of the user which means that it would be hard for someone in the government to track and trace their transactions in doing these illegal activities.

I also have read there is a terrorist group in which they are in search of funds from investments in bitcoin. but it all depends on each individual bitcoin user. because the bitcoin is like a knife depending on the person who uses it to cut vegetables in the kitchen is good. if for a criminal act kill that person is not good. but I'm sure that bitcoin users always use it in a positive way. like the knife was more used to cut vegetables than to injure people . |

Actually bitcoin is made,for the used of common goods,but this speculation is maybe become true,that bitcoin would be used in criminality or other illegall activities.bitcoin is a digital currency we could not seen an transparent transaction,maybe some of war lords likes those ISIS,they used this as a funding in buying a weapon of mass destruction,but this is only my own speculation we have nothing evidence that is used for criminality and destroying our mother earth. |

Before proceeding to bitcoins negative issues why dont we tend to see how bitcoin really works for people? Dont stick to those who just talk about their own point of view, we really can tell that rumors can easily spread out when ever and wherever. The best logic would be, if bitcoin is manipulated by criminals and used by criminals, why do millionaires have trusted their moneys to this banking? |

Very likely, with the anonymous feature it allows everyone to use bitcoin including the criminals, I get a lot of news saying that bitcoin is a good place for money laundering crimes from corruptors.

Bitcoin is used by everyone whatever the status of the person in life you maybe a professional, criminal, young, old, etc. We can say criminals also use it because it is hard to trace who owned the specific wallet that is use in transferring fund. I had read as well that it was used in getting ransom in kidnapping that was a one of the worst i had read.
