Is bitcoin used by criminals ?

In recent times criminals have entered the data of some banks and some large companies in the world. They force companies and banks to send bitcoins to them. Because bitcoin only works on the internet the criminals can pretend to be, and get bitcoin undetected. I think bitcoin is a currency that facilitates the concealment of criminals, which is my opinion.

The real criminals are the one's printing fiat, collecting taxes and sellings weapons around the world.
And bitcoin is a currency and like any other currencies like USD,... it is used for a wide variety of reasons by different types of people. Everything is used by criminals, not just Bitcoin.

I think not.. how can you used bitcoin in a crime unless you can will scam people in bitcoin. There lot of scammer here Also hacker . Hacker also same as criminal because they thief other exchanger and wallet they got big money when they do that.

Any kind of means can be used by criminals. Dollar bills are used by criminals just as much. There is no point really discussing this, because anything can be used by criminals: sticks, Toyota cars, Armani suits, credit cards, banks, etc. It does not mean bitcoins should be prohibited. You would not ban cellular phones, just because criminals use them? Of course not.

No. Not because removing and banning Bitcoin is difficult, but because the internet offers more positive than negative. Internet and Bitcoin are just devices that 'bad guys' and 'good people'. Fortunately, the world is filled with more people in the 'good people' category.

I think bitcoin is used for bad intentions as it is hard to trace and is accessible worldwide. I also think bitcoin won't get banned. Too much good uses for bitcoin. Regulated maybe and also traceble....Don't think so.

i also read some article that bitcoin is ask by the kidnaper as form of payment. which in cash bank can control a withdrawal limit in bitcoin it cant be control so the disadvantage of bitcoin is used by the criminal as advantage to their transaction which they cannot be trace.

criminals dibitcoin are hackers, it is certain wherever there is a criminal or heckers. secure and always keep our wallet well from these hackers, of course we all these bitcoin users do not want the results of our work is taken by these criminals or hackers. for bitcoin, hopefully in the future can better monitor the movement of this hackers and directly removed from this bitcoion.

Of course.It is not impossible.We see a lot of news that represents that bitcoin is used in hacking or terrorism or other criminal activities. It is possible because one can use bitcoin,transact bitcoin without expressing self real identity.It is so tough to find the criminals who has did that offence.So,the criminals often find it easy to make an offence throgh the help of bitcoin.It is guessed that the reserve of BANGLADESH BANK was stolen by the help of bitcoin.

Bitcoin could be used by Criminals but I haven't encountered anyone that was using Bitcoin with Criminal intentions. No proof of them using it.

Everything is used by criminals, not just Bitcoin. For sure, the great majority of the criminals are using fiat. The more dangerous ones are definitely using fiat. They are the ones who are wearing suits and are occupying high positions in the governments of different countries and in the top executive positions of various international companies. In the low level, even scissors and frying pans and pins are used by criminals as well.

That's true. Bitcoin is just one way to transact illegal transactions that's why we can say that it is used by criminals. But to be honest, there are so many ways to be used by criminals, but some of them just choose bitcoin.

Indeed it is true that transaction of bitcoin is now very fast and easy people will not have to wait for it, but it does not mean bitcoin will decrease the value, some people use bitcoin for good and some for bad so it is not like bitcoin is bad, people just take the advantages of it that bitcoin has anonymous nature and it is untraceable so it is easy for them to use it. Bitcoin is digital currency and it has a lot of advantages along with disadvantages.

Recently saw the news, sorry can't find the source now. It gave an example of statistics on how much funds are used by terrorists and hackers for their machinations with the help of bitcoin. And this percentage was around 1-1.5%.
