Rob - I am trying to help C-Cex get their daemon compiled and we are running into a couple of issues:

error 1:
Code:
rpcrawtransaction.cpp:335:46: error: conversion from 'int64 {aka long long int}' to 'const Value_type {aka const json_spirit::Value_impl<json_spirit::Config_vector<std::basic_string<char> > >}' is ambiguous

error 2:
Code:
json/json_spirit_value.h:439:5: error:   initializing argument 2 of 'json_spirit::Pair_impl<Config>::Pair_impl(const String_type&, const Value_type&) [with Config = json_spirit::Config_vector<std::basic_string<char> >; json_spirit::Pair_impl<Config>::String_type = std::basic_string<char>; json_spirit::Pair_impl<Config>::Value_type = json_spirit::Value_impl<json_spirit::Config_vector<std::basic_string<char> > >]'

If you'd like to help, his Skype name is: C-CEX.com

I'm sure he will when he sees it... I'm pretty sure he needs to change something in the code to fix this issue as I have found one other reference to this issue for another coin and the coin's dev fixed it inside the source code... It does seem strange though considering I got it to compile fine in debian 7 and he's on debian 6 experiencing problems...

Much to my disappointment, I still haven't managed to get this working either. Have tried with all data directories on the main system drive, and a few other things, but still have the client crash when BOINC is running.

changed to a new wallet a couple of days ago, updated all the settings, cpu mining is working and i get daily payouts.

However I'm still not listed at all in the leaderbord, I still do see my old wallet address.

Anyone knows how to get listed with a new address?

We are trying to get it on C-CEX right now, but the admin of that exchange can't get the linux client compiled for some reason. If anyone knows linux that can help, that would be great.

hello, im quite new to grc..
i had some problems getting cgminer running, now its doin something, but im not sure if its really working.
it says about 270K diff, a few post ago somebody posted diff of 6.5450.. ?
im mining with 300 khash is there any chance of finding a block in some time?
since there is no pool with information etc. im not sure how many people are mining
my bionic activity is also stuck at 50%.. I've set all the settings in boinc manager to 100% allowed usage.. can i do something else?

is it necessary to configure the payout address somewhere in the cgminer settings? or how does that work

So, if I understand correctly, we're still unable to mine GRC on an headless linux rig  Huh
Have you an ETA about that ?

Quote
6) Gridcoin will measure the processes individual thread utilization, memory footprint, authenticity and send that information back to same thread that rpcmining is running on.  It will not provide a higher subsidy unless all of the requirements are met, and the mining module is registered to the machines registry.  Boinc Points will be part of the base algorithm soon.
Is boinc point part of the algorithm already or do we have to wait for that too ?

By the way, GRC is a GREAT idea. Imagine a coin which yield profit and benefit the science at the same time. It would be wonderful Smiley
I can't wait to test it ! We're still lacking features but you job is VERY promising guys !

Your cgminer output is correct. 270k is Scrypt (litecoin) difficulty which is equal to about 5 in SHA256D (bitcoin) difficulty.

300 K/Hash should get you at least a couple blocks a day.

BOINC activity will be stuck at 50% until you have a "Recent Average Credit" value for BOINC.

You do not need to configure your payout address in cgminer.

I have the headless daemon up, running and mine-able on Debian 7 using the instructions found here: https://github.com/gridcoin/Gridcoin-master/blob/master/CompilingGridcoinOnLinux.txt

Does this work with boinc ? (headless)
There is a "DLL registering step" in the Windows Explanations : http://www.gridcoin.us/download/GridCoinMiningInstructions.pdf

That guide is slightly outdated, you are no longer required to register the mining module.

I haven't found any blocks on my linux client so I'm not sure yet whether BOINC processing % is being applied since I am running Debian with no gnome, maybe Rob can tell me if there is a way to verify BOINC processing % without a GUI...?

I can confirm though that Gridcoin is compiled and accepting rpc connections.
