It works good, we are not done with our tests yet, but so far the portion of my skin that was dried up on my hand is pretty much gone. I think it works good so far.

For a bether understanding why we incorporate virtual worlds. Is simple - Lindendollars are the Second Life "currency" and the 3. biggest "currency" that is exchanged for Bitcoins. Second Life once started with the virtual realms. Opensimulator is the opensource version of it. It is meanwhile the larger and worldwide open version of Second Life trough the Hypergrid Opensimulator is an opensource Multi User Virtual Environment. It allows you to have much of the functionality from something like Second Life, and you can host it on any server you like.

I have compiled DVC from http://sourceforge.net/projects/galacticmilieu/files/DeVCoin/I copied all receiver files from source directory. I started daemon and get: rav3n@rav3n:~$ devcoind getinfo { "version" : 32400, "balance" : 0.00000000, "blocks" : 0, "connections" : 8, "proxy" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "difficulty" : 1.00000000, "hashespersec" : 0, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1356278518, "paytxfee" : 0.00000000, "errors" : "WARNING: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade." }
Blocks are not downloading? In log I see got inventory: block 00000000b8a349531336 have
so looks like I have some chunk of chain. I have wrong version or what?

Yes, i make ~./devcoin/receiver folder and put files in there. I do it after I saw error message that tells me that file/s are missing there. Deleted blk* __db* and database folder and it start downloading blocks I also accept incomming connections now I see in log version message: version 32501
is there updated version somewhere? And why it is not on github? It would be much easier than search for tar/gzips.

It is on GitHub: https://github.com/knotwork/old-devcoindSo is the devcoin-qt: https://github.com/knotwork/old-devcoin-qtI called them "old" because I wanted to take a newer bitcoin version as base to start making "new" versions of them. Also, you do not have to put the receiver files into ~/.devcoin/receiver directory, they can actually be anywhere at all if you simply change directory to wherever they are before you run the program (the devcoind or devcoin-qt program). It will notice them and copy them over itself into the "receiver" subdir of the datadir. Another way of saying the same thing is to say if they are not in the devcoin data dir's "receiver" subdir then they must be in the so called "present working directory" of the program when you run the program. Thus putting them in ~/devcoin should have worked fine IF you had been "sitting in" ~/devcoin when you ran the program. -MarkM-

Depends on version of Mini UPNP, its old code so wants old version.
If you've installed newer version the newer bitcoin versions use then yeah turn it off or figure out how to have two versions on your machine at once. (Or maybe make a virtual machine with old stuff to compile old stuff on and compile it statically, or whatever).

Disabled UPNP and it works. I not need it, easier to manage open ports via router

I have tried to install the windows version of the Devcoin wallet and have failed at some point. It will open and start downloading blocks but stops at 71999 even tho I still have connections. Ive deleted everything and tried again but it still stops at the same 71999 block. What did I do wrong?

Try putting the Round 18 reciever file in your directory. There's a link on a post in page 58 of this thread.

You didnt do nothing wrong you simply forgot to add the cvs files to ./devcoin/receiver - get all cvs files here : http://92.105.105.155/devcoin/ and copy them to your ./devcoin/receiver folder and restart the daemon
