You can address your complaints to me, but I didnt write up the script. Gweedo is fast on the draw, sorry he got it done fast and let me know, sorry if I didnt say OH hey gweedo wrote it up in that time in public. I did however let unthinkingbit know ahead of time.

I bet you are sorry you did not say that.  You did not say that because you did not think you would get called on it and now you are trying to CYA.    So now you will just say , oh it is not me, it is someone else,  I just happened to post a bounty proposal then the code for it soon thereafter.

Sorry I am genius but I saw the bounty, no one pointed me to it, no one asked me to do it. I was bored today and had time, and cranked it out. It isn't that hard of a site to make. If you have an issue PM me and we can talk about that obviously I am genius and you can't let me have one bounty. There is enough bounties for everyone.

You are right, it is a trivial site to make.  However, if what you said is true, why would you not have been the one posting it?   Feels way too much like after the fact BS.

http://btcticker.appspot.com/

I request a bounty for a clone of this application for devcoin. Stipulations would include open source being posted to devtome.com.

I suggest a 6 then 3 bounty.

Any objections, or should anything be changed?

I object.   This project looks to be too trivial, and seems to have been posted by someone who already wanted this and had the means to create it, but just wanted to get a bounty for what they would make anyway.

Because jasinlee acted in bad faith proposing that bounty in my opinion.

Does it matter who posted it, I posted it on my github, and the wiki, he posted it on here. I was talking to him all day since I wanted to make sure it was correct, so he knew I was making it. I handed in a version that wasn't what he wanted so I actually had to go back and redo a lot of things. So there was a lot of time for the other person to take the bounty from me.

I wonder how many projects publicly announce Devcoin donation addresses.

DiabloMiner does: https://github.com/Diablo-D3/DiabloMiner/

Go make a new thread and complain there, this is the thread for devcoin, not "I am twobits and I am a genius you should all listen to me."

You have already made your dispute known, let the people that speak to each other like adults decide what to do with it.

Yes it does matter.  Now you say you were talking to him all day about it.  However the code was posted only an hour and  twenty five minutes after the bounty amounts proposed.  Seems you just admitted you were working on this anyway ahead of the bounty in collaboration with the original poster of the proposal.

Yes, I did... and this was the thread it was proposed on and I replied in the place it was posted.  You are now childishly demanding that I put it in another thread where not as many will see the objection.

Also, you have me confused with gweedo, he is the only one who wrote  'I am genius'. I said no such thing as anything you just put in your silly little ad hominem attack.

I presume these people that speak to each other as adults that are deciding will of course not include you?

I request a bounty for a clone of this application for devcoin. Stipulations would include open source being posted to devtome.com.

Then additional shares can be given for each additional exchange that is added (one time). Additionally, I would like to see all of the coin options added to this site in time if possible (they should pull the same API information for each site) but since this would require a bit more work, it should also have another additional set of shares assigned for this function. But, at least devcoin should be present to receive any part of the bounty. I also suggest a recurring share for the hosting of the site if it is outside of the google apps hosting. This will help to facilitate further sales threads and sites built around devcoin for payments, or other alt currencies.

That is when he posted that and he posted code...

http://devtome.com/DVCImage/

It is not complete yet, but devtome.com will have one of the image dvc tickers on the site now. Tomorrow a generator or something simpler should be available. Examples below:

How to Use DVC price image

It is very easily use the url http://devtome.com/DVCImage/<exchange>/<Base Currency>/<Amount>/<Currency to be converted from>.png

So: http://devtome.com/DVCImage/VIRCUREX/DVC/1/USD.png =

The source will be posted soon too then I will update the thread.

So yeah.... 5 hours after he posted that he posted code, and I didn't finish until

I'm not sure it matters there have been several instances where an already started project applied for and received shares.  I don't think this share system was designed to only spur development in untouched areas but to also reward pioneers for the work they are already doing, and then there are groups that do things without requesting bounty solely for the good of the community for reasons of their choosing.  This seems like a good project to reward IMHO...

I suggest the typical hosting maintenance of 1/5 of a share ongoing, for the first two sites.

Any objections, or should anything be changed?

I agree this bounty, but object the number of share. such work should be worth 2 or 3 shares. I suggest a  3 then 2 shares, and 2/5 share for the next two exchanges, and  2/5 shares for all other coin options. 1/5  share for long term maintainance is ok.

I agree with your objection. I was not careful when I wrote the share amounts, and I was wrong, they were too high.

This is my estimate for how much a bounty should be for. In general I think a share should be for ten hours work. With bounties there is a chance the project won't succeed, or that someone else will claim it first. Assuming a one in two chance that the project would will not succeed, that brings it to two shares for ten hours of work. A chance that someone else will claim the bounty and so the developer has say a 45% chance of getting first prize, a 45% chance of getting the second half prize, and a 10% chance of getting nothing, that means the expected return is 0.45 + 0.45 * 0.5 = 0.675, this would bring it to 2.97 shares for ten hours work.

Are there any suggestions on how much a bounty should be for a given amount of work?

It will change, but dont stress it, I will donate the remainder since you were not aware there would have been an issue with it.
