Wow that shojay guy is the definition of having no life whatsoever

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

DRK is going to kill it when investors learn about masternodes.
Set up a masternode or two. Then open up a bottle of wine, sit back and relax.

Yep, running Masternodes and mining DRK certainly beats working for a living.  Cool

Sad to see that DRK is going nowhere.

This is small games and speculation still, the real world use hasn't even started yet. That's where the big boys and big money are. Right now people who know what's coming have already secured as large position as they see fit, and don't have any worries. Those who think playing trading games with other small-time crypto speculants is all that will give the coin valuation are those who worry when there is no constant flurry of exciting news to speculate on. DRK is going places.

And, we haven't even been able to market the coin to merchants who appreciate anonymity yet, as Darksend hasn't been finished. The real world usage is still waiting, so we haven't even touched the potential yet. As soon as the 10 DRK send limit is removed, Darkcoin marketing can begin with full force. The ask side on the exchanges is so thin, that any real demand for coins will shoot the price through the roof. Currently we are in a situation where those who anticipate the coming events, have a nice position already, and those who doubt, are in fear of buying - they will rather buy at 0.02 than 0.01 as silly as it sounds.

I still dispute the notion that merchants are going to embrace Darkcoin.

I don't think an IRS or SEC  is going to appreciate the beauty of Darkcoins anonymous transactions.  Both of which businesses are required to submit to audits on demand.  So lets just close that door.  Businesses will never embrace Darkcoin.  It makes a nice soundbite when marketing the coin to potential investors but that's about it.

Coin supply reducing, master nodes locking up excess coins, anonymity increasing demand.

Man, these Darkcoin guys, they are just lucky. Lucky, lucky, lucky. Beginners lucky, lucky, lucky.

Ha Ha.

You sold to buy rollback coin, when you should have hodl your eCash coin.

another altcoin claiming anonymity with no place to spend it.  Besides, the anonymity fad has pretty much run its course

Fine.

Let it run its course because whether it's a fad or not, there are one hell of a lot of people out there who simply are not going to take to a public domain blockchain.

It can go to half this price if it likes, as long as it's not zero because whoever is left standing at the end of the rout is going to pick up one hell of a prize.

You made a relevant point regarding regulators "banning" certain currencies from being used by retailers due to having opaque blockchains which I'd like to answer. That is indeed something that could happen but it's purely hypothetical because the reality is that regulators are not going to let ANY cryptocurrency gain the slightest hold on the real economy if they can help it.

If you think they're going to even bat an eyelid over whether a particular blockchain is opaque or transparent then I don't think you've a very good appreciation of what a cryptocurrency is in economics terms. Bottom line is that there is far too much leverage in the fiat financial system for them to let people get anywhere near any of them, so the whole debate's hypothetical.

All crypto's are for users, not regulators, and it's in that context that Darkcoin has a huge potential market.

I can hardly wait, because Bitcoin becoming a great success is obviously great for Darkcoin. Just wait until the big boys and big money finds out about Darkcoin, and why they need it.

Please explain why they need Darkcoin if you actually can.

So when random guy walks into a cafeteria and purchases a sandwich and pays with cash, you have to investigate where he got that 10 dollar bill?

EDIT: sorry for responding to clear trolling but just in case someone else hasn't thought this through I decided to respond.

To keep their finances private, duh?

Also, ignoring the obvious examples you can find anywhere (and examples you can find upthread), here's another angle:
Bitcoin blockchain analysis is probably not 100% sure thing, you might get mixed up with some terrorist buying components to build a bomb from the same place you bought something else, or his coins get mixed with yours for some other reason. That might not reflect well on you in a police state.

Sad to see that DRK is going nowhere.

Unfortunately (and the main problem of this coin), most of DRK supporters doesn't have the money to keep the price a float because almost everybody here that call idiots and ignorant to potential investors(with few exceptions) just have a false sense of power when they got hundreds of DRK for nothing. They don't understand what is the meaning of capital loses because they put real work/money/values at risk.

For those that paid good amount of money/time, my advice is to sell as soon as possible. It will go down very hard this week. (I'm trying to do that with huge loses again).

A month has price since the recent decline, wow we should really all see now DRK is dying.  Roll Eyes
With this thinking you will get nowhere in life.
