Your graphics card does not have enough VRAM. You cannot use it for mining.
1060 3gb I can’t mine anything on it?
Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Because of the DAG file size (over 4GB) you can't mine Ethereum (ETH) with only 3GB VRAM. That's the reason why you got the message (out of memory). If you would have a 1060 modell with 6GB, it would be no problem.

The DAG file of Ethereum Classic (ETC) is below 3GB, but I have no knowledge whether it is profitable to mine.

Sorry about the inconvenience.

Usage
T-Rex supports command line arguments similar to that of ccminer:
ethash:
Code:
t-rex -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://ru-eth.hiveon.net:4444 -u <wallet> -p x
kawpow:
Code:
t-rex -a kawpow -o stratum+tcp://rvn.2miners.com:6060 -u <wallet> -p x
MTP:
Code:
t-rex -a mtp -o stratum+tcp://xzc.2miners.com:8080 -u <wallet> -p x

To get the full list of supported options run:
Code:
t-rex -h

Discord
https://discord.gg/gj7jcYf

Dev fee

Dev fee is set to 1% (2% for Octopus). When the miner starts and stops mining dev fee it reports it to the console output.

Do you have any plans to add algo "autolykos2"? I can use only your miner on big rigs (19 videocards) -another miner can't start mining.

Why did they suspend the Github, very curious by nature  Grin

GITHUB is owned by GOOGLE, so its NSA by definition, also GItHUb has gone 'woke' 100%, never good for crypto, best to run like hell now, before you wake up in the morning and find your server gone. Just like they have done on yoU-TUBE(google also), they take out anybody that isn't socially approved.

IMHO it appears the way US-GOV is going after crypto is taking out the legs, first by COVID & GPU shortages of chips, etc they have taken out GPU's worldwide, and now hard-disks (chia), so now they come for the software; They'll slowly take out the little guys this way, only leaving the big players.

I hope the t-rex dev are looking at bit-torrent like anonymous delivery, hell even this forum here is heavily censored by the same people, how are you people going to communicate when they pull the plug on this board ( bitcointalk.org) ??

How secure is trex.com ( new binary server ) from being taken out as we have seen lately the 'woke' crowd can call for anybody to be de-platformed, remember gpu-mining is raycist; so its targeted to be 'cancelled'.

need help

Your graphics card does not have enough VRAM. You cannot use it for mining.
1060 3gb I can’t mine anything on it?

You can't mine ETH on t-rex, as it requires now about 4.5 gb going to 6gb soon, min board is 6gb, of which there is no stock on earth for now Sad

i myself have deployed all my gtx-1060 3gb boards to hack bitcoin of which they're doing a handsome 250 MH/sec, which means each board finds lost bitcoin about once a week. Not bad.

There are also many 'coins' out there that you can run on as little as 2gb and they all pay you in DOGE coin, just google this topic.

For those interested in deploying their gtx-1060 3gb ( old cards ) for useful things like hacking bitcoin, tell me where to post? Here on this forum whenever I post anything about 'hacking bitcoin' on the bitcoin-technical they delete my posts, truth is not tolerated by the btc cultists.

Essentially for those who want to do this, what I'm doing is running 8gb Bloom filter that has all known used btc addresses, then I hacked vanity-search to run random, but using a very intelligent baby-step giant-step algo (  pollard ), so my search space is 250 MH/Sec*300M, so with a few gtx-1060-3gb boards I'm doing 1,000's of TH/sec, which is much faster than even the best bitmain miner ( 80TH/sec), the  secret to get 250  mh/sec out of the gtx is that my bloom filter is on a NVME-4x drive  alone, so the software essentially sees the entire 8gb bloom as in memory all the time.

Generic question for T-Rex users here; Where are you going to go when ETH goes POS ( they kill mining profitability )Huh "Proof of Snake" ( or Stake-Holder as  in owner behind the curtain )

What coin? Fall back to Zcoin? Or Horizen? Which are terribly non profitable? Or monero that is even worse?

Just curious what's going to happen to GPU mining when they pull the plug on ETH mining? It's coming soon, even though the miners do want it, the whales rules ETH so they get their way.

All crypto is going this way, oligarchy where all crypto is owned/controlled by just a few people, just like the real world, say the USA is an oligarchy, a country ran controlled by a few people.

Sure I know you can search 'mining profitability', but I'm talking about a coin, where you have a heart in the mining, and not just looking for nickels. I used to mine ZEN(now horizen) years ago on my gpu, and really liked it, and I liked the team; But now I don't mine it, because ETH is 20x more profitable, hell I have to pay for electricity, which is $150/month per rig Sad

I use t-rex, cuz I find it the best, but I really wish there was a good mining tool for GPU, where I had the source, I really enjoy hacking

Hopefully this helps someone else with the error "WARN: NVML: can't get power for GPU #1, error code 999"
I searched but couldnt find anything specific to this issue.

I was getting this error on a couple of rigs (T-rex 20.3 / Nvidia 466.27 GRD). Earlier versions of Nvidia driver seemed okay (inc DHC driver).
After some troubleshooting it seemed to be only with more than 1 GPU. Tried a few things and finally found a fix Smiley

Simply copy the nvml.dll from the Nvidia folder ("C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI\nvml.dll") to the T-rex folder and restart your miner Smiley

This is a pure lie lol. Github is owned by Microsoft. A simple search on ANY search engine would have provided you the correct information.

Hi.
Im running 0.20.3 with a 3080 and the Wattage reporting is 0 (P:0W)
Anyone knows why i cant see the power consumption?
Also, the efficiency is not even shown.

Regards.

Hello, anyone?

Thanks

Is there a bug with T-Rex 0.20.3 (Windows) regarding the log_path parameter.

I'm using a config file (-c) and setting the log_path parameter in the config.txt file works ok, but in the web interface the log_path parameter is truncated, the path is present, but not the filename. So if I make a change in the web console and save it the logging stops because the log_path is now invalid.

Thanks.

You need to set afterburner settings to 0 mem 0 core cl then shut down the cmd window.

What I do is set afterburner profile 4 to these settings and use this bat file.
Code:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\MSIAfterburner.exe" -Profile4

But I have 6 cards running its own instance so I use this bat file.
This sets clocks to profile 4 setting which is 0 mem 0 core clock and then exits.

Code:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\MSIAfterburner.exe" -Profile4
TIMEOUT /T 3
taskkill /im T-REX-0.20.3-win_4-24-21-d_0.exe -t /f
taskkill /im T-REX-0.20.3-win_4-24-21-d_1.exe -t /f
taskkill /im T-REX-0.20.3-win_4-24-21-d_2.exe -t /f
taskkill /im T-REX-0.20.3-win_4-24-21-d_3.exe -t /f
taskkill /im T-REX-0.20.3-win_4-24-21-d_4.exe -t /f
taskkill /im T-REX-0.20.3-win_4-24-21-d_5.exe -t /f

Youtube video on it.     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMCPsoRHgUY

If you want the timer to relaunch and close automatically ... its more complicated.  Smiley

Hi

I just upgraded to the new Version. It is a bit more complicated to get it working.

DAG File is written false and only rejected shares result if DAG File is created with normal OC Hash Settings. Clock gets way to high when DAG is created. It shows a red (!).

So I have to start mining with no Overclock.  Tongue

What version have you upgraded from, and what cards are generating corrupted DAG?

Are you working on getting the Github (or anything similar) working again?

We decided to host our binaries on our own servers to avoid being at the mercy of github, mega and similar hostings as they can suspend our accounts without any notice invalidating heaps of links to our software.

Nicehash suspended your miner until that happens btw.
That's not quite true. They won't enable T-Rex plugin until we digitally sign our binaries, which we won't do in order to keep anonymity. They also promised to disable every other non-signed mining software soon so we just happened to be "lucky first".

Hello,

I was using T-Rex 0.19.14 with Awesome Miner and all was fine, but the automatic update put the 0.20 version and my old computer can't mine x21s x25x megabtx and other algorithms that have been removed.
I think it's too bad to remove some algorithms from the miner, it's less versatile...
Could you repost a link for the 0.19.14 version please ? I can't download it on github since you left the platform and I didn't have it on my computer.
Thank you for your help

Still using 0.18.11   and   GTX 1070

Btw.: Why is RAM OC not important anymore? It was most important 2017 2018. So after RAM OC you lowered GPU Clock/ TDP until Hashrate drop. Today it mostly/ only depends on GPU Clock.
Recently:  Took it down from max. RAM OC after watching an newer Video -> better Efficiency
