I got this weird itch to put silly money on Leicester tonight to make up for everything over the weekend... 18/10 looks impossible value at home against a promoted side, and Brendan needs his job.

Am I digging a hole for myself or making a smart recovery?

In hindsight, definitely a smart recover. This one was a freebie from the bookies, as I have been preaching whole week in Fantasy topic, Leicester is actually very good going forward and I expected them to score few tonight with big contribution from Maddison. What I did not expect was a clean sheet in the process, I went with 3:1 in the pool and even considered 4:2. If NFO managed to score that one goal all my bets would pass, including a crazy betbilder where I had Maddison to score 2 or more goals and bunch of other stuff.

I hadn't had a chance to see Leicester to play so far this season, so I was mostly going by their record.  I've had the full match streaming while I finish up some work, and I agree.  In retrospect they look a lot better than their record would indicate.  They've had a rough schedule so far this year, they might provide some more bargains in the weeks to come.

Of course the question remains about today's match, is Leicester that good, or is Forest really that bad?  Forest was so dominant in EFL Championship last year, I really expected more of them.  Today they looked nothing like a Premier League team.

Just as I thought,they only had a huge amount of bad luck so far in their games and are not a team that should be relegated or fighting to get out of the relegation zone,based on their quality in the end of the season they should be in mid table somewhere.I am impressed that they didn't concede any goal yesterday as their defense has been their weak point as they conceded way to many goals in the games they played so far.I also expected a good game from Nottingham but them losing 4-0 shows they are just a team that came from the Championship and most likely they will be back there in the end of the season.

Yep, I wrote somewhere that the odds on them winning were unexpectedly high (I went for a handicap win @2.5 odds) and that it is a perfect game for them to try and turn their season around.
They are a decent team and should easily finish mid-table. I expected them to push for european spots as well - but after a start like this that is off the table.

Lol Yeah, I was wrong about the Leicester City game, but it shows how bad Nottingham Forest are. These guys are shit to have conceded four goals to a shitty Leicester City with the league's worst defense. I've previously stated that Nottingham Forest would receive fewer points at the end of the season than the number of players they brought in (24). Is the DOF who proposed the team revamp still on the job? Those promoted kids could have done a better job than the 24 deadwoods they brought in.


This season, they are competing with Loserpool to see who is the most shit. Such a downfall gives goosebumps.

Yeah, you have no idea how my heart fluttered when Awoniyi was through on goal and his shot went back off the post... if that had gone in, who knows how the game would have gone. First goal took a huge deflection but everything else after that was legitimate great football. Apparently first time that all 3 first half goals came from outside pen box in EPL, according to commentator.

Even Vardy looked so good, only no goal to his name.

I know I said it before but Southgate is deliberately blind when he says he has no creative midfielder to call upon. If he still doesn't pick him for WC...

They have been a lot better than result suggest, so yeah, they got their first win, more than deserved, and I recovered my week's losses, quite
easily as it turns out. Shouldn't have done that though, but I'm happy

Oh, that's good to hear; the last goal by Leicester City ruined my acca; I went with Under 3.5 goals at 1.45, which was a good odd tbh. I expected a tough Monday game with fewer goals, but it was the opposite. Leicester deserved it; they play good attacking football, and I hope they give Rodgers more time to turn things around. Is it some sort of power play cos Ronnie has been a dram queen or was trying to the run the squad himself, or is it just because of the transfer drama and him obviously not wanting to be there? Either way, not bringing him on at half time when you're 4-0 down is silly. If anyone could have turned that game around it was him.

Leicester have had bad results this season but they're not a bad team. Definitely not as bad as Forest hence why I got the home win correct on that one. Don't really know what's happened to them though to be honest. I'm sure they'll turn their form around now.

That is a nice deceiving statement,the truth is the new manager of United it looks like he does not like Ronaldo,he insisted on keeping him out in most of the games despite him starting the season with humiliating loses against weak teams of the Premier League.When he started winning after those 2 initial games everybody forgot about Ronaldo as long as the team was winning,when they lost big this weekend against their derby rivals of City and with a tennis result the fans ask desperate things like why don't you made Ronaldo play.

We need to see how things will turn out in the upcoming games where hopefully the form will be up and if the coach still does not play him something must be wrong between the two.

It's time for Ten Hagu to worry not about Ronaldo, but about himself - with such results, he will be thrown out of the club very quickly. I don't think he was taken to the club with the condition that United could hang around in the 6th-7th place and get humiliating defeats from time to time (a complete repetition of last season). A few (largely accidental) victories seem to have given Ten Hag the audacity to continue to ignore Ronaldo - the problem is that United still play badly. The tension from the fans is already high, if the management is also unhappy, then soon Ten Hag will have to pack his things.

You are probably right, we all know he wanted to leave during the summer and basically his manager offered him to all top clubs playing in Champions League and that probably did not sit very well with United management or coach. Putting him in his place, but that is not something you do the legend at the end of his career. That is something you do to up and coming player to make him change his habits. If you have Ronaldo, you either use him or get rid of him asap.

Congrats, you took Yellow cap from me in last minute. I think I was 0.5 point ahead before Leicester game, we both got 1 point from that game and after it you already ahead me. Not sure how, maybe you got slam point.

But Ronaldo actually has become a liability tactically.  Ten Hag has to change how the squad plays when Ronaldo is up there spear heading the attack because he doesn't do much when they don't have the ball.  It ends with a couple of guys being forced to be out if position to make up for it.

United just needs to rebuild from scratch.  Something they should've done after Ferguson left almost 10 years ago.  Damn..  It's been almost a decade now.  Lol.  Maybe they're due for a resurgence in a couple of years.

In my opinion dropping your star player isn't necessarily good management. Obviously, he'll get the praise because he has the balls to do it. However, good management would be changing Ronaldo's attitude. Ferguson knew the type of player Ronaldo was, and he has always had a attitude issue, or perhaps some would say arrogant? That's not exactly a criticism, since most players at that level believe in themselves quite a lot it does come across as arrogant.

I'd like to think it's a current tactical change due to him obviously negatively effecting the team. However, United have improved, but they still aren't a team that will be challenging for anything soon. The problem is more than Ronaldo.

I only beat you to the yellow cap by getting an extra slam spoint, I had 8 right outcomes, which gives me 2 slam point, instead of the 1 slam point you get for 6-7 outcomes.

I agree with Hilarious, it's just pretty much absurd for not letting him leave when he had the opportunity to leave, and that's all just so he could rot away on the bench, It would have made sense if they're actually doing very better without Ronaldo, then I'd understand the reason for not starting him, ETH saying he didn't want to bring him into the game that has been lost but brought in Casemiro and most disrepectfully to also play Martial who have been out injured for the past 5 weeks ahead of Ronaldo, it's just doesn't make much sense imo!
