What we can do to keep this kicking:
1. Vote 1, and urge others to do the same. 2. Keep mining 3. Do not dump high amounts for cheap

I totally agree. We have been mining HVC since launch (44 days) with a +500 block reward. Clearly it's not working. We need a big change, please consider reducing your vote substantially. we need team who can leader now??
We definitely need to setup a management team, especially if the devs are going to be this absent. Hold strong, vote low

Well I didn't kill the coin, the designers/dev did. I just shared my findings. The only chance the coin has/had is for votes to become much lower (since devs won't change anything) so the word had to be spread. Unfortunately the whales are voting high so we can't make enough difference. Would you have rather known last week or 3 months from now when you could be holding 4 times more coins. Besides, the devs are aware of the problems and choose to do nothing about it. Put the blame where it belongs and not on the messenger. Carlo But yea, the value started to slowly tank when people read my original message which described the problems and the devs said they wouldn't make any changes. On a lighter note: Happy Easter everyone!

I think that depends on what level of involvement the devs are going to have. maybe a few bit messages from community members will get them back here to address some of this.

Look how fast the vote comes down when the price drops. Great effort by those who are sticking with it. I would hope the devs stop by and give us some comments on all that we have been discussing over the past week. It is needed.
Nonce pool could use a hashrate boost if any miners want to head over there, I believe they are 0% mining fee.
Anyone know if there is an easy way to see the votes from 1gh or poolhub?
I did notice in the art thread that finalists had been notified about a week ago, so maybe we will see the final heavycoin logo soon.
Happy easter

although the current price doesn't look any good, I'm pretty sure HVC has a future and it will turn around and rock at some point

I am holding all mine and voting 1, it's still a great deal in BTC/kWh ratio even at the current price! The noise my cards make when mining scrypt alone make it worth continuing to mine HVC!

Forgot to note - no stats update today - one coming tomorrow, although the pool votes thing is missing a bunch of data due to heavychain.info appearing down (only getting cloudflare cache).. I'll see about sourcing the missing data off of one of the other heavychain explorers ( http://hvc.42tx.com/ - seems to be pretty responsive ).

A) where have you been, you suck!?
b) kick rocks the coin is dead already?
c) Really now you show up!?
d) Just make an announcement that you are abandoning ship and let someone else take over!
e) Are you running?
f) Ive dumped already thanks for that...

I know prices are in the toilet right now, I only want the best for HVC, perhaps after the Thunderclap tomorrow will bring in some fresh faces. In case they come here we just need to prepare for some "basic" questions they may have, without community there is no coin.

A) where have you been!? d) Just make an announcement if you are abandoning ship and let someone else take over, or step up your presence in the community! Maybe there is a legit reason they both have been unavailable for the past 6 days, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. But they really need to level with the communtiy. If they are walking away from HVC they need to just come out and say so. I think the community would be willing and able to pick up the ball and run with it. They gave us a great coin with 1 issue, the voting. Yes it's an interesting experiment, but its become a liability for the coin. If we could scrap the vote, or seriously limit the max vote, this coin would straighten up and fly right. It has to have long term, stable viability. Thanks to all who are holding strong and voting low. Looking forward to hearing some thunder!!

The top of my list would be something like this: A) We need for you to make changes to the code to change the rewards and timeline, or hand over control of code to the community as these changes must be done. B) Any alteration/changes will be first discussed by the community or a committee formed for this sole purpose of figuring out exactly how this should be done. It should be well thought out. Carlo

Thanks to all who are holding strong and voting low. Looking forward to hearing some thunder!! In my mind, absence for ~1 week after launching a new coin is tantamount to deliberate price manipulation. Developer is not stupid,he knows with certainty the price will plummet if he doesn't show up in a while. Everyone who has followed the coin can see the price is low for such a (relatively) innovative coin. However it's no use unless the rest of the market can appreciate it. Typically the markets are naive and driven by short term hype and gimmicks/memes/quick cash grabs. This one can play out a bit longer over the summer and take a while to gain a bit of traction, it's under the radar right now and definately undersubscribed, In next few months (right over summer) there is a HUGE influx of ASIC hardware coming onto market, most from a few private suppliers who will make a fortune. Scrypt without a doubt is more centralised than BTC at that time. We will see whether we will see another gold rush spiking the price of all scrypt coins, or the opposite effect where people realise scrypt is total junk that provides no benefit over sha256 and only lines the pockets of a few- the train for those that missed btc. I'd love for it to be the former for the sake of cryptocurrency in general bitcoin could do with all the eyes pointed on it, in terms of multimillion dollar investments into securing proof of work on alternate chains, but greed may make it the latter and could play out just like btc. Regardless HEFTY1 is a cool summer algo to put all those gpu workers pointing at. And personally I stopped buying HVC some days ago, won't be buying any more without some clear roadmap or leader stepping up, but not selling either at this price-- I'm in sunk cost fallacy mode., would rather see investment go to 0

So in my stats post, expect votes from 1gh and and miningpoolhub to be void - can't be bothered to mess around with abe to transload a local blockchain file (and running the client/daemon) into a database.
