It does seem like it is going to be a final between the Indian women's team and the South African women's team. And even in that match, I will say India is going to win quite convincingly in my opinion.

Both the captain and vice captain held their nerves to clinch a nervous win yesterday. I am not sure why there were two run outs as Indian batters are known to be very vocal and coordinated than other team batters. It is very rare to see run outs now days. Still a crucial win for the Indian team as they can now play the series decider match next in Ahmedabad. Newzealand did their level best to win the match after scoring the lowest total agains India in a T20 match. Indian batters had to play till the 19th over to chase 99 runs.

I would say the Indian batsmen's performance was poor. The Indian bowlers bowled so well that they managed to restrict the New Zealand team to just 99 runs. Every Indian bowler is bowling very well. However, batting only for a target of 100 runs

No doubt pitch was bowling friendly which put all the batter in really trouble especially newZealand batter. And that the main reason of newZealand loss, because with the help of pitch the indian bowler success to dominate the newZealand batter in a very small target. At same time indian batter were also in trouble but due to experience of home ground indian batter some how manage to chase this small target and win the second t20 match of this series which balance the series with 1:1.

The highlighted part is a big problem. In modern day cricket, especially in T-20 or franchise cricket, everyone (spectators) wants to watch big sixes and high scoring matches, as t-20 format is considered a batter's game and it's more fun. On some level it's also spreading in other formats too, that's why a 300-ish score is the new 250 score in ODI.

Pitches play major role in scoring. With T20 matches those shouldn't be mentioned as the reason for low scoring. The fall of wickets happened, but runs didn't come. With T20 matches even at the wicket fall we used to see scoring from the batsman. So, it is not just the pitch alone. The players too didn't perform well as the previous match which is my understanding.

Sylhet Strikers defeated Khulna Tigers by 31 runs in the 30th match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). So far Sylhet Strikers are at the top of the points table with 16 points after playing 10 matches and winning 8 matches. They are consistently performing exceptionally well. Every player of Sylhet Strikers is performing well under the captaincy of Mashrafe Bin Mortuza. In the last match against Khulna Tigers, they took the field and won by 31 runs. Sylhet batted first and managed to score 192 runs for four wickets in the allotted 20 overs.  For Sylhet Strikers, opener Tawheed Hridoy scored the maximum run of 74 (49). When Khulna Tigers came out to bat with a huge target of 193 runs, they lost two of their wickets early on. Later no one could turn around like that.  But the middle orders tried a bit but they failed to win this match. However, Khulna Tigers are consistently performing poorly in this tournament. They have won only two matches out of 8 matches and lost the remaining six matches. Their points table position is fifth.

Now really waiting for WPL and transfer this sort of success to the Senior Women's team too.

I will give my Salute to these young Indian girls for showing this historic performance. I hope this win will be beneficial not only for the Indian but girls and women who will take cricket/sports more seriously in the sub-continent and Asian regions.

Although the Pakistan women's team's performance is way lower than the Indian women's team but we can have matches between the two women's team to improve our diplomatic relations between both countries.

I agree with you. But not only in the T20 format. The pitch plays a role in big scores in every format. The team management builds their squads keeping in mind the pitch conditions. It is usually very difficult to score big on spin-bowling-friendly pitches. And it is difficult in all formats. However, New Zealand scored lowly and was given a target of just 100 runs. Even then it was not easy for the experienced Indian batsmen to score 100 runs. The match was competitive.

Well.. I am confused. No one was complaining when 400+ totals were being made in the ODI matches. 90% of the matches that are being hosted by India are being played in pitches where the bowlers get zero assistance. Once in a while we get pitches like the one in Lucknow and suddenly all the hell breaks loose. Honestly, I am against both types of pitches. Cricket should be played in surfaces where both the bowlers and batsmen have adequate support. Else, the fans will get bored after some time and they will stop watching cricket. Apart from improving the personal stats of individual players, it is not going to benefit anyone.

Sylhet has won almost all the past matches.  Sylhet showed good performance in the game that was held between Khulna and Sylhet.  Sylhet's performance in terms of bowling and batting is very good which is enough to resist other teams.  Had Khulna been careful from the wicket side, there was a chance of victory.  Khulna's run rate was very good in the beginning.  As an opening batsman, Tamim Iqbal did not perform very well.  Sylhet is likely to win the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Basically, not many people watch women's cricket in both India and Pakistan and this can be used as an opportunity.

The reason I put this suggestion is that these matches would not catch the attention or create any hype if U19 women of India / Pakistan start playing a series. Although as you said it may not happen, but if it happens, it will slowly open doors for the men's cricket to follow. If we just think that there will be direct door open for men's cricket series between the two nations, that's not going to happen in the next decade.

It was more like a test cricket pitch than a pitch to play T20 cricket. We watch T20 because it is agressive batting and mort runs are scored from 4s &6s. The lack of agressive batting ruins a T20 match. As per my knowledge a test cricket pitch should be always bowler friendly, a T20 pitch should be batter friendly and an ODI pitch should be a combination of both. I was really surprised to see such an odd pitch in an international ODI match. The curator might have forgotten that he was supposed to create pitch for a short format game. I am hoping the Ahmedabad pitch should be batter friendly.

Anyone following the International League T20 in Abu Dhabi? Yesterday Abu Dhabi Knight Riders lost to Dubai Capital by a big margin. A number of top international players are participating in this league and I am surprised that the viewership has remained relatively low in India. The ongoing bilateral series against New Zealand seems to have impacted the TRP ratings. A few associate players are also making their mark, with George Munsey of Scotland scoring 57 for the losing side yesterday, and Fred Klaassen of Netherlands conceding just 15 runs in 4 overs.

And if Dhaka Dominators perform badly in bowling then I can't imagine what will happen in this match.

Dhaka have lost almost all their matches so I doubt they can win today's match against Barisal.  Barisal plays very well so it is not a big challenge for them to win against Dhaka.  But early on Barisal did not play very well as they scored only 16 runs in 3 overs but here they have about 17 more overs to play. However I don't think Dhaka can win with Barisal. But Barisal will give Dhaka at least 120 to 125 runs targets

What's happening with the women's T20 tri series between India, SA & WI? I just finished the highlights of the match between India and WI. I was surprised DRS was not used in that game. Is there something that I don't know or in women cricket DRS has been not included or only for this tri series they are not using it. There were couple of questionable outs given by the umpires in favour of both teams. Overall India won the match but it was kind of boring to watch as the match was a one sided one. @JSRAW or @Sithara007 do you have any clue?
