From the very beginning England seems struggling. England have lost 4 wickets scoring 37 runs with Stokes and Bairstow on crease.

What a batting disaster of England cricket team. They have lost their 6th wicket just now. Perhaps, England won't be able to make a good score in the first innings. What a fight back from England through Bairstow and Overton these both bring back England into match with 55/6 now 255/6 very aggressive second consecutive centuries from Bairstow and first test playing Overton is also doing amazing job with his bat as right now he is in nerves nineteens with the help of this partnership now England is trailing by 89 runs a good recovery.

If these both play like this for some more overs than surely England are going to take lead, and they can go for whitewash because they already settle their collapse which is amazing fight back from these both for their team and this can turn tables into their favor without any problem.

It was an incredible comeback and i did not expect them to be hanging in there like that after loosing 6 wickets for just 55 runs and then to make a comeback from Jonny Bairstow who is playing like he is in a ODI game with a strike rate of above 100 and Jamie Overton making his debut and then contributing with his bat in a crucial situation is outstanding.

England only trail by 65 runs and they will be taking the lead unless New Zealand will be able to break the partnership in the morning session.

West Indies once again won the toss and put Bangladesh to bat first and it looks like they are repeating the same performance as the last match as they already lost 6 wickets for 138 runs.

Even the previous test match had similar pattern of scoring. England after losing its 6th wicket at 55 runs and now reaching 264 runs in 49 overs is an drastic comeback. It looks like England is maintaining good run rate. This match too gets the result and the match seems to be more closer in the end days.

The way some English batters are playing. I think they are going to change the mindset of many cricketers in red ball cricket. 

That's what they call cashing after the tea (They added 170+ runs in final session) It was somewhat started by Pant in Australia but Bairstow is taking this into another level.

Now if they were unable to survive the initial slot on the first session, the next day I think they will be able to get a lot more runs on the board. Nothing comes before the Indian vs Pakistan series on any format. The amount of enthusiasm and uncertainty that comes on my mind by just imagining a game between the two arch rival is unimaginable. The only hope now left to watch these two countries play will be in an ICC trophy.

Such a series would bring windfall in revenues for both the BCCI and PCB. But the problem here is that the BCCI is awash with cash after the auction of the IPL media rights, and they are not really concerned about any shortfall arising as a result of the India vs Pakistan series not happening. As things stand, the PCB will be more concerned about the series when compared to the BCCI. I sincerely hope that all the politics will be set aside some time in the future and the series will go ahead. That needs moderation from both the sides.

This is not only comeback I am feeling this is going to turn test match into England's favor Bairstow is butcher by nature, and we already have his amazing knock in last test match where he plays in under pressure and give England good win now again after few days he is doing his duty at very crucial time when England were down by 55 for 6. Overton playing his first test match player like very solid all-rounder which England were looking for some time, hopefully he will be able to have his place in this team for long time because first test and performance like this is surely going to be great for this young kid.

Bangladesh are again struggling and giving wickets like crap, hopefully West Indies will fix them in quick way because now they are the worst team and have no chance for recovery in this format.

England's first 4 batsmen scored 4, 6, 5 and 5 respectively. It is truly admirable that England is back on track in such a great way, even after the top order has been so badly broken. Thanks to Bairstow and Overton for that. Jonny Bairstow is unbeaten on 130 off 126 balls and Overton's collection is 89. However, England is still behind by 65 runs. But England will not face a big problem to collect only 65 runs. England will probably be able to give a lead of 70-80 runs.

Yes, I was wrong and thought that NewZealand will be able to take the last four wickets cheaply but Jonny Bairstow and Jamie Overton changed the game for England. However, it's difficult to analyze who will be the winner of this match at this point. A lot will depend on how NewZealand will play in their 2nd innings. They should focus on a 350+ target for England to be on the safe side.

It is very annoying to watch the Test matches of Bangladesh. They have been weak in the Test format for a long time. Neither their players nor their management has the will to do well in the Test format. At the moment, none of the players in the Bangladesh team except Liton Das can collect runs regularly. At the same time their bowling lineup is very weak. They can't determine which of their bowlers are suitable for which type of pitch. If this continues, they will go down further in the test ranking.

I think you're from Bangladesh or you're hard supporter of Bangladesh cricket team. I just saying this based on the disappointment you expressed over the performance of Bangladesh cricket team. Bangladesh somehow managed to score 234 runs which is a big thing in this match. West Indies have begun the innings and it looks like in good form scoring 67 runs without wicket fall. Being in the home ground gives Bangladesh added advantage. West Indies too is a team that disappoints unexpectedly. So, anything could happen more two innings left.

Well.. makes sense. When England toured India last time, they also tried the same approach. If I remember correctly, it was Rishabh Pant who batted in ODI style and scored a few quick 50s and 100s. I remember Rishabh hitting a spectacular 91 (from 88 balls) in the first test. But India lost that one. Hosts came back strongly and won the series 3-1. And in the last match, once again Rishabh hit 101 from 118 balls. Apart from Rishabh, a few others such as Washington Sundar and Ravichandran Ashwin were also scoring quick runs.
