^^ Bangladesh women lost their match against West Indies women by only four runs. I also think that West Indies are lucky in this tournament because they have won quite a lot of matches by single digit runs.

But, I have to say that Bangladesh played really badly, especially in the batting half. 140 is not a big score by any means and they could not reach it. After watching the Batsmen play I think that they are really lacking confidence. I think they have really good skills and can play very well but the way they are playing didn't look too confident to me.

What a thriller, though.
Bangladeshi women are in for a tough time. The only thing they need to do is fight to the end, but pressure creates ridiculous scenarios. Nahida shouldn't have taken the single in the last over, an unneeded move that led them to lose in close quarters. They are playing better cricket than Pakistan so far despite competing for the first time in the ODI world cup. Excellent performance. I hope the momentum continues.

The quota system is not there for the women's team in South Africa? They are a very talented side. The only reason why the performance of South Africa has gone down is because of talented players migrating to other countries due to the quota policy. In women's cricket it is not an issue, since the salaries are low even in countries such as New Zealand and England. So if a player want to migrate to another country, she need to make sure that she gets in to the national team. Playing for one of the county sides will not provide enough funds to replace full time job.

That's true and I think it is really good that the quota system is not a problem for South African women's cricket. It was a really big problem for the men's cricket in South Africa because for this system in my opinion the South African team could not reach the full potential that they might have.

And obviously, if it migrates a player then he/she better make sure that he/she will be playing for the national team otherwise it's just not worth it.

In the men's One Day International against South Africa, Bangladesh set a reasonable target of 315. The batting performance of the Bangladesh cricket team was absolutely brilliant, especially since they got off to such a slow start. But the bowlers need to do better now. In any situation, Shakib Al Hasan's brilliant performance remains exceptional. As usual, Shakib Al Hasan contributed his team runs and brought up his fifty with a SIX. The score would have been higher if Shakib had remained, but they still managed 91 runs on the score board in the final 10 overs.

David Miller is still unbeaten on 45 off 32 balls. If these two players could have stayed at the crease for at least 45 overs, they might have been able to collect more than 300. Because both are very aggressive batsmen.

Miller is an exceptional player. If Dussen was still at the crease, they could have beaten Bangladesh in this match. Miller has played 53 balls, collected 83 runs and is still at the crease. Apart from Miller and Dussen, no other South African batsman has played better. Although Bavuma has scored 31 runs, he has played 55 balls. South Africa needs 85 off 38 balls.

I am really glad to see Bangladesh winning the match while touring South Africa, i remember someone throwing a shade on Bangladesh in this chat about they are a really weak team and now they even surprised me with their performance and Shakib Al Hasan just proved his worth with his bat and then bowling the opening over and it was a good strategy and hopefully we will see more competitive matches like this in this series.

Has anyone realized that with yesterday's win, Bangladesh is now on the top of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League? They have 110 points from 16 matches now, compared to 95 for the second placed England. Third placed India now has 79 points from 12 matches. If the trend continue, then they are on course to finish as the champions. Just to remind, each team is going to play a total of 24 matches. South Africa's position looks pathetic, although they have played less than half of their allotted matches.

Another interesting match between the Australian women's team and the Indian women's team is in progress. I can see India posting a good total against the unbeaten Australian team. Australia opted to bat today on a day that can be affected by the rain in the latter half of the innings. Indian team would desperately want this win to move them a bit up in the points table while the win for the Australians will confirm their place in the semi-finals.

I don't think India's collection was inadequate. The main reason for their defeat was that the bowlers could not play well. Australia's first 3 batsmen have destroyed India. The first 3 batsmen collected 212 runs. Meg Lanning returned to the dressing room with 97 runs. He missed his century for just 3 runs.
Australia has won all five matches. It looks like Australia will win the Women's World Cup without a hitch this time. The performance of their players is admirable.
