India wins the U19 world cup for the fifth time. This time Yash Dhull gets added to the list of captains winning the U19 world cup for India. Previously it was Mohammad Kaif, Virat Kohli, Unmukt Chand and Prithvi Shaw.

This time more records have been made. Most runs and most sixes by an individual, Dewald Brevis had scored 506 runs with 18 sixes. Most sixes hit in a single edition - 338 sixes. England winning the toss was an advantage, but they missed the good start. Anyhow they managed to give a good score. Maybe next time this can be for England.

BCCI also announced cash rewards for both players and support staff. Each player will be getting 4 million and each support staff gets 2.5 million. This is a great gesture by BCCI and I am sure many players from this squad will also get bought by the IPL franchise. Yash dhull has now surely booked his berth in the Indian A team.

40 Lakhs INR is too good for any 18-19 yo kid. Kudos to BCCI that they are appreciating our young boys, majority are from humble background. Just came across one related story, there was a time when BCCI didn't have any money to give 1983 WC winners, they crowdfunded the money for the team with the help of Lata Mangeshkar "Nightingale of India". This is something funny, because Pakistan have many other issues to face at present. Pakistan had to pay a debt of $26 billion in interest for the fiscal year 2020-2021. Maybe this could give some relief for the Pakistan government, just a fun and nothing offensive.

However, I don't think that this weak WI team will tell us anything from the matches. Chahal does not have a chance against the best teams. Indians struggle when it matters and perform well when no one is watching. It's sad, but true.

I think problem with women cricket is viewership, u-19 world cup would definitely be having higher viewership than the women's worldcup. This is where board gets inclined towards promoting the U-19 team never heard of these sort of rewards 4-5 years ago. BCCI was rich even then also.

On a slightly different note,I don't know if this is true or not but I have heard reaching the Indian u-19 cricket team or any Ranji team these days is possible only for those who are either really talented or are actually from a humble background. It's only IPL franchise scouting which brings in talent and that also for their own benefit.

The Chinese government is not giving any focus to Cricket and hence you will not see them prosper, once they include cricket in major tournaments like the Olympics, then countries like China will look closer and spend time in improving the game.

It was India 1000 ODI and they won it in style. WI recently lost to Ireland in ODI while won T20I series against England. This clearly tells the story that they have weak ODI squad. Rohit is good choice for captaincy, but he must also perform good outside India to prove that he is the best choice.

Nothing is impossible. If Chinese are willing to learn cricket and Pakistan is willing to help them then who knows they could turn into a good team. But nothing will happen overnight. It will take at least a decade for them to prove themselves that they have the talent to play cricket.

Virtually no problem with BCCI when they are handing out bonus to young kids but they are depressing group when it comes to Women cricket and Dada sounds like misogynistic person most of the times whenever he open his mouth.

Indian Women were runner up in the last 50 overs and T-20 WC. BCCI delayed the prize money on both occasion. They only released money when some female journalists took matter into their own hands and wrote multiple articles.

Yeah that's true, Pant, Shaw, Siraj, Gill, Pandya brothers etc there are tons of names and recently found out that Shaik Rasheed who is in current u-19 team is adopted by Andhra cricket from early age.

You are absolutely right that we have a lot of domestic issues to take care of. Even, if we only talk about cricket, the Pakistani team needs to be more consistent with their performances. Once you are perfect, then you should offer other countries training and skills. If same amount of budget and time is spent on the local players, I am sure Pakistan could become a much better team. However I am not sure if this offer was just a way of expressing gestures or will Pakistan be really working with china on cricket development.

Yes India also has not been in the best of forms recently and had some issues with captaincy. But I feel west indies team is too week and wont cause any trouble to india specially in their home conditions. Rohit sharma showed good form with bat in the 1st match and I am expecting kohli to score some runs in the 2nd match.
