If this were the Sri Lankan team that had all the famous players such as Dilshan, Sangakkara, Malinga, etc., then I would have said that Sri Lanka is going to be playing very competitively against India. However, you should take a look at the current Sri Lanka squad. In my opinion, Sri Lanka does not have a high chance against India at this point. Unless India makes big mistakes, Sri Lanka are not going to be able to win against them.

Anyway, the series is over now. Now the New Zealand vs India bilateral will start from tomorrow onwards, with the first ODI being scheduled in Hyderabad. It is going to be a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. And after that the test series against Australia will start. That's true  Sirlanka was such a good team but now their performance have declined tremendously,  even they won Asiz Cup last year and after that they lost all . This team has a tendency of showing some good cricket.

Shreyas Iyer ruled out of the India VS Newzealand ODI due to back injury. He will be now replaced by Rajat Patidar. I think it all depends on whom Rohit Sharma would select tomorrow as he has got other options too. It would be interesting to see who gets that opportunity. In all a competitive ODI series is expected as both these team have recently won ODI series respectively.

Actually, I think Sri Lanka had a lot of pressure. Because the target was really big. And Sri Lanka was under pressure from the start of the chase. But there is no excuse for them to perform so badly like this. In the first match, Sri Lanka at least tried to reach the total. And the score which they reached was actually decent and respectable. But this time things did not work out for them. They got all out for 72. That is just a shameful performance from Sri Lanka.

For India, it was a record-breaking Sunday, but for Sri Lanka, it was an embarrassing one. As a result of pressure, Sri Lanka did not play well. Sirlanka didn't even try to win , they performed ok before in t20 and previous ODI but this was some horrible performance by them. Yes their victory was difficult yesterday as India gave a huge target but atleast they could have fought for their pride and respect.  73 all out was not good for a team like Sirlanka.

I think we are not giving enough credit to the Indian bowling lineup. They have actually done well in this match and also in this series in my opinion. But the thing is the Indian players have batted so well that the spotlight never went on the bowlers. They have also done a very good job. Tomorrow India is going to play against New Zealand. India will be very confident to win this series against New Zealand as well. Especially after such a good performance against Sri Lanka.

I'm not sure of the other matches, but in the last match it was the batsmen who gave good opportunity for the bowlers to have a pressure free bowling. When bowling under pressure, surely they won't be able to perform well. The upcoming match need to address the real ability, because New Zealand is in its winning form against Pakistan and Indian pitch seems to be similar to that of Pakistan pitch.

There is no doubt that India played very well against Sri Lanka. India's team was not stable, but now they are playing well enough. Virat Kohli in particular has returned to form. At the same time, India's unstable bowling line-up has improved. In the last match, we saw that India picked up 10 wickets of Sri Lanka for just 73 runs. We can't be sure about it. The performance against Sri Lanka is different from the performance against New Zealand. It isn't easy to score same as 373 and 390 against New Zealand, because the bowling is simply hard. Just because the batsmen performed good, Indian bowlers were able to do their best without pressure. When there is pressure surely the Indian bowlers will find it hard to take wickets.

After India's ODI series loss to Bangladesh, there was a lot of discussion among the Indian Cricket Board about Kohli and some other players.  The Indian Cricket Board has given some players temporary rest for different periods but they relaxed it when it came to Kohli.  You all have already seen the talent of Kohli and the talent of Kohli against Sri Lanka has got a huge positive response in the world cricket arena.  It goes without saying that Kohli is the next Little Master and anytime Kohli can break the records set by Sachin Tendulkar.  Indian cricket management but they know about Kohli and they warn Kohli from time to time that Kohli can come back to his previous form and perform well.

As usual in this match also the batsmen of the Pakistan women's team are not playing well. At the end of 29 overs, Pakistan's batsmen collected 102 runs. Their current run rate is only 3.51. And Pakistan lost 5 wickets. And so Pakistan will not be able to give a big target in today's match. Between 160-170, Pakistan is most likely to lose all their wickets. Australian players are having decades of experience in playing in the first-class competition and the WBBL. Pakistani players on the other hand are quite talented, but most of them have no experience with top tier cricket. Until very recently, Pakistan didn't had a proper first-class structure for the women's team. And the WPSL was recently launched (to be started this year) by Rameez Raja (before he was fired and replaced with Najam Sethi). Given all this, it was not very surprising to see the Pak women lose to Australia. The second ODI is ongoing right now and so far the Pak women have made 108/6 in 33 overs.

2nd ODI ICC Championship Match started today at Allan Border Field, Brisbane. In this match Australia Women vs Pakistan Women two teams came to the field to play. Pakistan Women batted first and scored 125 runs in 43 overs.  Few runs I think.Pakistan Women performed poorly in the match.Pakistan Women went all out in this match.Now coming to bat Australia Women scored 61 runs in 10 overs.Now they need only 65 runs to win.

Word is that Axar is getting married, his career shaping up nicely and becoming a good asset for India but Sundar will replace him and he's a handy cricketer as well, also considered a superior bat than Axar so it should be okay.

Sundar is a good all rounder and better with bat than Axar but in recent times Axar has proven himself as a mature all rounder in all format of cricket. He was supposed to be the replacement of Jadeja.

Rohit is not going to be replace for the next couple of years as India is still testing Vice Captains. Till the world cup these two shouldn't be rested both are looking good with bat. The continuation will help them a lot  when they play in the world cup.

Sundar is a good all rounder and better with bat than Axar but in recent times Axar has proven himself as a mature all rounder in all format of cricket. He was supposed to be the replacement of Jadeja.

So what will happen once Jadeja comes back? He still has 3-4 years of international cricket left with him. Making a choice between Axar and Sundar is quite difficult. I guess the one that performs better in SENA nations should get the priority. Then there is another issue. Both these players are more suitable for the T20 format. They can't match Jadeja's capabilities in the longer versions. And for captaincy, Rohit Sharma has been quite disappointing IMO. I don't think that India is going to win an ICC trophy under his leadership anytime soon.

It's a great combination from both strong team, we can say this will be exciting match to match because king Kohli is in home , let's see how new Zealand can stop him

Ireland vs Zimbabwe
The first ODI match between Ireland and Zimbabwe was started. Ireland choose to bat first and they took  25 runs in 9 overs and they already loose two big wickets.  Looking at their performance, it is not yet clear what is going to happen but currently I would put Zimbabwe ahead of Ireland in terms of strength even though Ireland are two steps ahead of Zimbabwe in the ODI rankings by a few points.
Because the Ireland team is considered strong in T20 format and there they lost 2-1 against Zimbabwe and because Zimbabwe is a bit stronger than Ireland in ODI format, I think Zimbabwe will win today's match. Now let's see how Ireland's perform their bowling performance  anthe outcome of the match will depend on it.
