Virat Kohli is currently playing very well right now. He has played a really good inning. I am actually lost for words. I did not expect this type of performance from Sri Lanka. I believe previously I said that I want to see a competitive match, not a one sided one. But that's exactly what happened.

Here in this match, Srilanka had already lost the series and when they knew that target near 390 is impossible to chase, they have just fallen apart at under 100 runs.

Anyways, not a good start to the year for both Pakistan and Srilanka, they should forget about this series' losses and focus more to get better results in the rest of the matches to be played throughout the year.

Maybe this situation would not have happened if the opponent's target was between 300 and 350. Though it is also a big target in ODI cricket. If the opposite team is stronger in bowling then this run is not easy for any team and when the number of score is 390 then no one can bat steadily. If Sri Lanka could bat normally their score would have increased slightly, but they would have been forced to walk away from the match. Given a target of 7.8 per overs in an ODI match, will most likely be considered tough.

No doubt we have good fight from Sri Lanka in first ODI but still playing with average bowling and batting against India in India has never been easy specially while you are for the white ball game in India because currently they have the biggest pool and best players which are doing amazing stuff in last ODI India completely outclassed them first in bowling and then in batting which mean things need quick work from the Sri Lankan management for the near future otherwise they can go down even out of the game even they won Asia Cup few months back with same team.

Gill and Kohli were on the full of not allowing any bowler to give them tough time specially now Kohli is back on his best which is good signal for the India and putting him out of the T20i is also good for him and his performance for the future. Mohammad Siraj and Mohammad Shami both good job in bowling and things looking well-balanced for the India team before world cup now they are facing New Zealand which just defeats Pakistan in Pakistan.

OMG. What a match it was! What a domination! The last Biggest win in ODIs (by runs) was 290 New Zealand vs. Ireland Aberdeen in 2008. Now it's 317 India vs. Sri Lanka Trivandrum 2023 *. Kohli And Gill Were outstanding with the bat. His unbeatable 166 will be one of his best matches, even though his high score is 183. Indian pacers just destroyed the Sri Lankan's batting lineup. Only Three batters were able to score double figures. Amazing.

Sirlanka didn't even try to win , they performed ok before in t20 and previous ODI but this was some horrible performance by them. Yes their victory was difficult yesterday as India gave a huge target but atleast they could have fought for their pride and respect.  73 all out was not good for a team like Sirlanka.

In my opinion, the bad start of the year never have any impact on team and their future but right now these both former world champions in ODI and T20i facing same situations not only in cricket but in other many aspects as well which needs improvement and better strategy for fixing their problems because both have enough quality and players those can bring changes in any game but having no discipline and performance giving them shocking defeats.

I don't think so that SiriLanka can fix this match because everyone know that India are far better than SiriLanka so due to these reason we can expect such kind of huge performance from India,
because always they are well known for Thier strong and full of potential batting lineup.
I think comback of king Kohli from bad form make India more stronger than any other team, and specially Siraj did phenomenal in bowling which help India to win the match with too high margin.
