Seeing Fakhar Zaman on song is one of the most satisfying things. Whenever there is a must-win game, he always steps up. His contribution helped Pakistan reach a competitive total following the decider of a three-match ODI series. As openers, the New Zealanders will have to bat carefully if they want to win this match, as spinners can cause them problems. New Zealand have already lost one wicket so it will be tough for them. New Zealand need a big partnership at this point so the pressure will increase on the batsmen due to the fall of wickets. As far as I know today's run is the highest in the series so it will not be an easy for New Zealand to win the match.

New Zealand scored 169 runs in 33.3 overs and needed 112 runs in 16.3 more overs.  It is very difficult to score 112 runs in 16 overs but if they play harder then maybe they will be able to do it but if they play the way they have played till now then they will not be able to score 112 runs in just 16 overs. Targeting 280 runs in ODIs is not a big one.  It is possible to cross this target if we play a little better. Let's see how much New Zealand can score in the end

So finally Newzealand won the series 2-1 , Pakistan performed good today batting wise they were ok but Newzealand was obviously better team than Pakistan that's why they have won this important match .

I am very upset that after the Test series Pakistan lost the ODI series as well back to back. But still, I know its a game but the 2nd match of this series was the turning point Pakistan should play to win 2nd match as after wining the First match Pakistan underestimated NZ. Anyway well said great performances on board here.

Now Pakistan are the favorites to win this ODI series. Despite losing Shan Masood early, they got to a very respectable total of 280/9. New Zealand bowlers were expensive today and Mitchell Santner and Lockie Ferguson leaked more than 6 runs per over. But to their credit, they bowled well in the end. At one point Pakistan was 225/4 after 42.3 overs. In the next 7.3 overs they could score only 55 runs and lost 5 wickets. Apart from Agha Salman, no other batsmen contributed for Pakistan towards the end. Unless there is a miracle, Pakistan is going to win this match.

You are experienced poster here in cricket section and still favouring Pakistan for the win it's unusual for them because I never tag them as winner in any match even they are playing against the weakest team they are unpredictable and have history of doing poor things in their matches without any solid reason so today again they have done with few poor selections and then poor bowling which give them another defeat in match and series as well.

Now, with this defeat surely we will have few changes in Pakistan and Babar Azam can lose his captaincy for the one or two formats which could be good for him because he needs to concentrate on his batting like Smith, Root and Kohli despite having this headache of captaincy which is also too early for him.

We could fairly say that Pakistan was playing really well and picking wickets at regular intervals and once Kane Williamson was out after a brilliant run out thing could have gone in their favor but the innings from Glenn Phillips took the match away from them. The positives i see in this series is that, their fielding has improved which resulted in a few run outs and they took some incredible catches as well.

According to my view, Pakistan played well. 280 is good score, but they failed in breaking partnership at the start of the New Zealand innings. At the bottom Philips made a remarkable contribution, if not this could've been won by Pakistan. Anyhow it is a big opportunity missed, because after a long the country played in home ground and lost the series.

You are absolutely right as the target of 280 runs was undoubtedly more than enough but unfortunately the Pakistan bowlers could not break the New Zealand batting line.  Pakistan's Fakhar Zaman 101(122) and Mohammad Rizwan 77(74) created a great opportunity for Pakistan.  But later, if the rest of Pakistan's batsmen could have given a stormy innings, then the run target could have been bigger.  On the other hand, see New Zealand's performance was almost the same as Pakistan's but Glenn Phillips 63(42) changed the game's turning point.  He scored 63 runs off just 42 balls to help the team to win enough and New Zealand secured a 2-1 series win over Pakistan with 11 balls to spare.  Best wishes to the New Zealand team for winning the ODI series.

Pakistan tried their hardest to win this match. It was a really good performance from Pakistan. Just not good enough. One problem of Pakistan that I notice is they have to be a lot more punctual and disciplined in bowling. I can see, they have conceded a lot of extra runs. That came back to hurt them in the end.

Otherwise, Pakistan performed really well. And they can take away a lot of positives from this match. The sad part is Pakistan almost had it in their grasp and then it slipped away.

New Zealand is the winner of this series. However, it was not a comfortable win for New Zealand at all. They had to fight really hard to win this series. Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman played really well in this match. But they needed a little more help from the team. If Pakistan reached 300 and gave less than 10 runs extra it could have been their match.
