Bangladesh is always much stronger in their home ground. They are capable of defeating any team on their own ground. Bangladesh's pitches are much more suitable for spinners. If Sri Lanka manages a spin dependent team then maybe they can play well against Bangladesh. Bangladesh will win the ODI series by any means. I think so. The Test and T20 series will be competitive.

No sure about the test series, but looks as if Bangladesh is having the advantage with the shorter formats. In test format, Bangladesh has historically performed poorly. So unless there is a miracle from the hosts, I would say that Sri Lanka is having the advantage. And given the fact that Bangladesh is always overdependent on a few important players, the return of Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman should boost them. BTW, in the fixtures I could only find the ODIs. Test matches are also scheduled for this tour?

After a long time, Bangladesh team won a match. As far as I remember, Bangladesh did not win any of their last 9 matches. Bangladesh is always strong in their own field. No matter how strong the opposing team is, Bangladeshi players are much more confident on their own pitch. I think Bangladesh will win their next matches against Sri Lanka

I missed the match but as expected Bangladesh won the match without much issue and even though Bangladesh was not able to score huge runs on the board they were able to defend the score easily and the return of Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman boosted their strength in the bowling department as well.

Majority of the players playing for Sri Lanka are new to me and hopefully Bangladesh will dominate the series and win them easily.

What is that Sri Lanka can do to produce talents like they used to have, they need to start hunting from the grass roots level and strengthen domestic cricket like India is doing. In the past they had a few talents in the team that could make an impact but they are now producing more talents like Australia used to have in the past and they can follow the same route and groom them to represent the team and it is going to be a long process.

The virus is mutating and the scientist are studying more about it, earlier it was not airborne but now it looks like everyone is getting infected left and right which makes me think that the mutated one will spread airborne as well and if that is the case then bio secure bubble will not help either.

I thought Sri Lanka could chase the score as it is not a huge score to reach but the inexperience of the players showed big time and the wicket was not easy to bat and the performance of Wanindu looked promising and i am expecting similar pitches for the rest of the series.

And they are right. Sri Lanka most probably will finish outside the top-8 and they may be require to play the qualifier tournament if they want to take part in the ICC ODI World Cup in 2023.

The required run rate isn't quite high, but fall of few more wickets within the next five overs will increase the winning chance of Bangladesh. You are right, Bangladesh batsmen are not regular. Players like Liton Das are not able to help the team much, yet they are being given a chance to be in the squad. Despite not performing as expected by the Bangladeshi batsmen, the Bangladeshi bowlers are bowling well enough. Sri Lanka lost 5 wickets for 89 runs. I do not see any chance for Sri Lanka to win this match.
