Was a well deserved win by Atl.Madrid and with this one they sure put more pressure on Real Madrid as it seems we might have only a battle in 2 for the title in this year.

Regarding Barcelona....the process is still on a long journey until it will be completed but despite the negative games in both UCL and with big teams in LaLiga , the squad and players kept that same style of playing football and they have the possession so they just need good players that could score or just put more pressure and deliver assists. When they do this , Barcelona will become again a big team who will fight for UCL but this year could be a great one if they deliver Europe League as UCL seems already over.

It looks like that won't be happening anytime soon. Like you said, it's still a long journey and we might be seeing more results like the UCL defeat to Benfica or the defeat to Atlético Madrid in the La liga. It's just painful to see a top tier team like Barcelona losing matches that they would actually win if it was played some years back.

If they don't improve their performance, am afraid, they won't end this season in the top 4, they are currently in the 9th position. They dominated the match against Atletico Madrid, but couldn't score any goal. And have conceded 7 goals in 7 matches. I think something is wrong with the team, Although, Atletico is not a weak club, but I was expecting at least a draw from Barcelona.

It's obvious they Barcelona just can't win the league, they've to do better than this.... almost saying a team not doing enough would be champions in the league ?
Maybe football doesn't work like that, or I feel not taking the job from Ronald Koeman is the problem here now.
A whole lot of chances created but the final third is poor, that should be looked at prior to Valencia and Real Madrid's game.

Now there is no great coach who could replace Koeman. You can find it only next summer. Therefore, it makes no sense to fire him. Now Barcelona needs time for players to learn how to play without Messi. He meant too much to the team for his absence to pass unnoticed. Be patient, soon the team will play well and there will be victories.

You don't even have to look at Barcelona's stats to see how bad the team is. It's better to see the two goals conceded against Atletico. Both goals came from counterattacks and both times the Barca players were outnumbered 1 to 2 and yet Atletico was able to combine through good passing and then score the goals through beautiful finishes by Lamar and Suarez.
Barca's performance on offense was even worse. A tragedy for such a proud club.

We all know how much Simeone is focused on a good defensive structure. And while they have a good defensive structure, their attack is very lethal with Suarez, Griezmann, and Felix. Barca has been having their worst start of the season may be in the past 10 years or so. The lack of Messi is being felt so bad by them. They don't have strikers who can score on a regular basis, though Aguero is injured. They will have a tough time ahead. Congrats to Atletico for winning.

I very much doubt the Barcelona coach will be fired anytime soon, he will probably stay for 2 or 3 seasons and from what I understand the central problem is not just the coach, it has to do with the lack of more players capable of scoring.

I'll give you an example:

if barcelona had karin benzema they would win many games

if barcelona had Mbappe they would win many games

if barcelona had cristiano ronaldo they would win many games

if barcelona had Son Heung-min from tottenham  they would win many games

if barcelona had haaland they wouldn't be so short of goals

there are good players in the market who score goals, but Barcelona lacks players of that quality, I have nothing against the current players, but I think they are not producing good results.

From what I think Koeman might be nearing his end at Barcelona very soon. They have been having defensive problems for 3 or 4 seasons and now that Messi is gone, their attacking has also collapsed. Having 70% possession means nothing if you can't finish the ball into the net. Coutinho missed an easy chance which he should really have converted. Selling Suarez and Griezmann was a very bad decision. The funny thing is that Suarez scored against them, whom Koeman said that he was not good enough for the club. The irony!

It doesn't give a guarantee, I think it all depends on the role of the coach. Look he had Suarez yesterday when Koeman came in, but he sold him. Then he had Griezman he also let him go. yes, I saw it, Barca dominated the game, but couldn't convert the chances into goals. it is a problem within the team that must be solved.
next in the league Barca vs Valencia October 18 and before that may face another match. I hope Barca can perform better.

It is this future that Koeman was discussing? Koeman should either be fired immediately or allowed to build a team for the future. We all go through ups and downs in our lives, and the current situation in Barcelona is one of the worst. Nevertheless, I am glad that Suarez scored the goal. The way he was treated was not appropriate after what he has done for the club. One thing makes me nervous, though: what will happen when they meet Bayern? Barcelona should prepare for humiliation against Bayern at the Allianz Arena.

Even selling Rakitic was a bad decision. Straight coming into the team he already had his mind set to remove some of the players which were very crucial to the team. Griezmann is gone on loan so not really a permanent transfer but still he would have helped Barca to score some.

I was actually very happy when Suarez scored. It was very hard for Suarez when he left the club. Nice way to pay him back just when the sword of sacking is just swinging around his neck.

This should make Keoman regret letting Suarez go. If I were him I would be very embarrassed. He's too willing to throw out good players, I don't know how he thinks. Or maybe he doesn't like Suarez?

Suarez's celebration was good too, he signaled his annoyance with a perfect performance. Losing streak, this is truly tragic. Koeman doesn't seem to have the skills to coach a big team.
