You know, this year has not been good for any kind of sports. I think i'm having the worst time in my life. Not only barcelona, all the club has given less entertainment in this year. but i'm not satisfied to barcelona's playing. I think they are able to performing more better. because they are much stable team than others.

Barcelona are not stable with rift between some members of the board, coach and players is making the team unbalanced, Barcelona are playing below what we have seen them play, except zidane real Madrid side slip up the league is out of Barcelona reach this season, I think they should work and start preparing for post Messi era, Barcelona has players above age 30 and for the future of a club this is poor, I am not happy with there selling of author and signing of pjanic-this guy is a short term player-,

Absolutely and this knd of thing is worse than pandemic for the one number reason for the loss of every teams or institutions is separation which eradicates the bond and the inner winning spirit of the team. If they didnt settle their difference the final is out of their reach but it all good cause the misfortune of someone is the betterment another person.

Can someone explain what is going on with Real Sociedad ? After the break of pandemic , they forgot how to play football and they barely create any scoring chances and yesterday was no different for them as they lost to Granada...

these type of teams who rarely find such good form in a season rely heavily on momentum...as soon as they lose that momentum (thx to the virus), they'll go back to being their old self, on top of that if the manager can't motivate the players enough so that they can get that winning mentality back, then this bad form will snowball out of control and will result in poor performances over and over again

next game against Villareal will be huge, pretty much a final, it could be a turning point for Sociedad, both teams are in the race for a europa league spot.

Barcelona has made some strong statements accusing Real Madrid that are being helped by the referees to win the La Liga and for now I must say they're right...shame what La Liga has become after pandemic.

Nah, it just goes to show you how salty and bitchy the Barca President, Administration, Coach and some players like Pique can be when their team is on the verge of possibly going trophyless this season. They go on to make unwarranted accusations and create a mountain out of nothing. Instead of focusing on how their team can win, they are busy making commentary on the officiating of Real Madrid's matches.

Why is it that Barça are the only people making a lot of noise even more than the opponent Real Madrid "cheated"? Is Barcelona the only other team in La Liga?
Have you ever seen Real Madrid come out and make noise about how Barcelona's matches are officiated even when they are doing badly in the League? The accusations are a real low blow from Barcelona and are nothing to be proud of in sports. They want to make everything political especially Pique.

Let's be honest, If you have watched all the recent matches. Which penalty do you really think was a result of VAR favoring Real Madrid?
Everything awarded was with in the refereeing rules, even far better than the Penalty that was awarded by VAR to Manchester United Last Thursday.

So, I think if it is alright, we could say that Real is basically the champions, sure not mathematically and sure sportsbooks wouldn't pay up the bet just yet (on the outright champions bets) but whoever has a bet that Madrid would be champions could take a breather now. I was expecting this game because if Madrid lost points here that would make villareal game a bit more tough.

Real Madrid are probably going to win against Alaves and even if Real Madrid manages to drop up to four points in their remaining games, i'm notconvinced that Barcelona won't do the same, looking at how they've been playing and today against Valladolid was nothing different.


Anyone watching Atletico Madrid vs Real Betis ?! Atleti have had two goals ruled out by VAR and they just scored the another which is under review yet again

Atletico won in their typical style 1:0, despite that they had to play with 10 men for more than 30 mins, after Hermoso got red card. Now they officially guaranteed place in Champions league next season.

No, it is too early saying the title already won by Real Madrid. Although there are only a few matches left against small clubs, Real Madrid shouldn't underestimate them. Look! Real Madrid still has a match to face Villareal on Thursday, 16/07. I think it won't be an easy match for Real Madrid. A careless strategy can lead to a failure winning the trophy. So, until all the matches ended, never state that the title/trophy has won already.

Because right now Messi is carrying the team almost every match,either by scoring goals or offering assists. He has 22 goals and 20 assists this season. Real Madrid did great after Ronaldo left but I'm not sure what's going to happen with Barcelona. Suarez is also 33 years old, so he will also be gone with Messi. Barcelona spent a ton of money on Coutinho, Griezmann and Dembele more than €120M on each of them. Dembele was injured almost all season, Coutinho was loaned to Bayern München(came back 1 week ago) and Griezmann didn't look great. We'll have to wait until we can see all of them in the squad. There is definitely a ton of talent to this squad but the coach has to find a formula that could work somehow because talent is not enough.

Unlikely, both team playing 35 games, Madrid is ahead of 4 points. The calculation is too hard to Barca to win the title. They have lost it already unless Madrid get slipped on their next matches which I think very unlikely to be happened. Barca team isn't that good formed which is one of the reasons to lose points after the league started again in the pandemic.

Everything is impossible if Madrid leaves only 1 game with a point distance between Barcelona 4. But now Madrid still has to play the remaining 3 matches and I think there is still an opportunity for Barcelona to cut the distance if Madrid fails to win in 2 matches in a row. It is very difficult, of course, to expect Madrid to play badly in 2 matches because they are already very close to the title this season due to Barcelona negligence in the previous few matches. Of course Madrid will not let that happen and they will do anything to get the title this season.

I agree Barcelona have some serious trouble going on with their squad and board but Real Madrid's recent run of wins is over-hyped in my opinion. If you look closely then they are winning matches with penalty and only 1 goal difference. Especially the game against Real Sociedad was 100% robbery.

People criticize that Barcelona played bad against Espanyol couple of days ago but what about Real Madrid against Espanyol in Matchday 32? Real Madrid hardly able to win the game from the goal of Casemiro else otherwise Espanyol completely dominated the game. But against Barcelona, Espanyol was on back-foot and defended with 8 men in entire game.

Barcelona Is the team that depends only on Leonel Messi and as a fan of Real Madrid I accept that Real Madrid is winning the games in a strange way, but they are winning and that is what that matters

Barcelona's slip of title was not entirely their own fault. They were robbed in the game against Atletico Madrid where referee wrongly awarded second penalty to Atletico. Imagine if Barca won whole three points in that game and Real lost 2 points in game against Real Sociedad then they both would be sitting at equal points.

When a team plays well, scores many goals and wins many games, there will be no reason to blame the referees, Barcelona is not having a great performance and that is why it is in second position

Both Real and Barca are not playing well at the moment but they are getting the points which is the only thing that matters, especially for Real. I f they continue with these presentations I am expecting a disappointing champions league season for both.

It looks like Real should win La liga without much problems since they have quite easy schedule but they will probably be out of CL after the first game is played. City looks much more dangerous and I don't see real turning 2:1 away without their captain who is playing best football of his career.

It is more important for Barca to perform well in CL after loosing La Liga so they will hopefully use the rest of the games in the league to improve their form and sort out the mess in their locker room.

it will be hard for Real to turn first match score into kick-out, they will need much better match than this what they are showing in La liga, but we have almost a month, and there is plenty of time for them to sort things out, as well as for City to go down with their form, think that City reached their pick in no-time, since they have no ambitions in Premier league, where they are playing the best this season, and it is too early for CL finals

IMO, it is really hard and unexpected for a team to be in the best form for more then two months, that could kick hard on City when CL finals time comes, and Real could reach their pick at the time, will be interesting, nevertheless

Villarreal clash with Real Madrid is the hardest game here, and I'm pretty sure that Real would drop not point as they are in the point of no return to second spot. Real will surely get 6 points from Granada and Leganes and either a draw with Villarreal making it a total of 7 points.

I don't agree that Real did great after Ronaldo left. You probably forget how they were struggling previous season. They ended 3rd in league with just 68 points collected and loosing against bottom table teams was nothing unusual then. They also were eliminated from Champions league by Ajax early and ended season without trophies. So, it took some time for them to learn to play without Ronaldo.
But yeah, it's interesting what will happen to Barca after Messi will retire. It's obvious that Barca isn't ready for it yet...

Sigh, it was a good win after all. One Messi assist, one Arturo Vidal goal, and generally they didn't play so badly the entire match. I have to say, if we weren't at this stage of the competition, I'd be happy to see the performance but Real are still only 2 wins away. Let's see what happens!

The match marks the second player in history of La Liga who has 20+ goals and 20+ assists within a season. The first player had it in history is Thiery Henry when he was a teammate of Messi years ago. In the age of 33, La Pulga still proves his value as one of greatest football players in history. I don't think Messi and Barca will have opportunity to hunt for the title. It is nearly a bad ending for Messi if we look at the good start of the team and have some leading points ahead Real before the league resume.

Barcelona must take the risk, if messi has left Barcelona. I also think that barcelona officials are already thinking about that, like looking for great young players. so that Barcelona can be scared.
And for Real Madrid, it seems I also do not agree that Real Madrid played well after Ronaldo left. Because Real Madrid's performance isn't as good as Ronaldo still there.

Ansu Fati is currently training with Barcelona B, as he is suspended and currently unable to play for the first team Barcelona.
Ansu Fati was with the first team of Barcelona the whole season and had a notable role (22 appearances, 6 goals, 1 assists) and now the coach is sending him to the second team.
Does Barcelona B really need his help or is it proof that Quique Setien has lost hope of defending the Spanish title and is sending his younger players elsewhere?

I guess the rate at which La Liga games are being rushed is kind of affecting Barcelona, their goal scoring rate has declined, lots of under 2.5 goals, it was an interesting match though but much was expected from Barcelona, the sole aim is to achieve 3 points in which they did
