So, we sent Espanyol where they belongs - Segunda Division . But La Liga without Barcelona derby will be strange.
Match was really tough. I can't comment much about game because my broadcast lagged a lot during whole game, so it was almost impossible to watch it. But from what I saw, Espanyol played decent and had some good moments to score.

Ath.Bilbao - Sevilla

This will be very interesting match to watch and hard to predict, which adds more charm to it

Both teams are looking for points. Sevilla needs to win to ensure Champions league as Villareal is getting closer and Bilbao still theoretically has a chance to reach Europa league.

Basks are always tough opponent when playing at their home stadium so predict this will be a draw in the end. By looking at Sevilla's away form draw seems like less risky bet as I don't believe Sevilla will loose this, but with Basks you never know after all.

Anyway should be a fun match to watch.

Why would anyone trust this Barcelona board ? Griezmann is fantastic talent, but he was never the player meant for Barcelona to begin with, the board only signed him for a big signing and publicity imho. Barcelona are able to get a perfect winger or Dembele up to speed (and out of consistent injury), Griezmann time in the club will be severely threatened.

Anyways, we have a pretty big game tonight: Bilbao - Sevilla. Both need the 3 points to keep the europan dream alive (europa for Bilbao, CL for Sevilla). BTTS is decent pick, i might risk it with First Half O1.5 cards @1.53 in a multi, i've got a feeling we're going to see a lot of yellow cards (Bilbao avg yellow cards per home game after the restart is 4).

EDIT* forgot to mention that if Eibar wins against Leganes today, Leganes will be relagated...this one's gonna be an intense match too.

Not expected at all although Ramos and Carvajal will be missing. Militao will be replacing Ramos but there's no certainty of who will be replacing Carvajal. Since it's home and the opponent is pretty much weaker, I think Madrid will make it easy.

La Liga has a high penalties awarded when comparing them with the English league or some top European leagues, when we hadn't no VAR talking point where about possible penalties that where not given, now we have it, it kind of getting too much. Defenders can get them self lost in a game and lack professionalism in there tackling even when we have VAR, and attackers or attacking team are taking advantage of this.
To balance this out there should be strict penalties for attackers/attacking team after VAR had decided no penalties, not just yellow card for diving, it should be a possible red card offense for any attacker/attacking team.
VAR assist referee in decision there are not sure of, and this VAR also wastes time -it is added in the extra time though- but momentum, players can loose momentum on the field, it can cause out rage, like the last match between althletico Bilbao and real Madrid-it was a correct decision-.
If attacking/attackers knows there is a possible red card if a VAR decision goes the other way, deceit, tricky acting will reduce

Lol Real Madrid gets plenty of penalties but lets not act like Real Madrid got favorably calls to become bigger champion chance team, Barcelona had to lose games themselves as well. Sure they beat Espanyol right now but they lost to and draw against weird teams, hence I think there is really no reason to think that Madrid somehow became leaders thanks to refs, it was also Barcelona that lost points.

However Madrid will face Alaves, a team they should beat very easily, and if they fail to do that, I am sure Barcelona will find a way to win all other games and get the leading back, if however Madrid wins this one as well, I doubt there is anything Barcelona can do, even if they end up winning all other games they are not going to be there since Madrid wouldn't lose that many games.

The match will be paused if the VAR assistants find a possible penalty, offside goal, or nasty foul, which they will inform the referee to discuss the situation. If the players were diving, I think it's already clear on the screens VAR assistants are monitoring and no need to ask the referee to pause the game. Though referee often gave yellow card directly for those who did diving. Red card is too much imo.

 Honestly VAR did improved a lot of stuff according to how fair the games are, thanks to VAR now we know whats going on and if there is any decision thats not obvious, teams go to VAR and request it and even the VAR room can sometimes say to ref that there is something and he should check etc etc. However this obviously brings in some negatives as well, for example it brings in the fact that game indeed loses momentum and stops for a while, thats true, or for example team that has been running and pressing all game has a chance to relax and gather around, or whatever other bad decision is, in the end there could be some bad stuff but its not that important compared to fact that VAR made the game all that more fair and thats the important part.
