If I were Real Madrid coach, I won't take that risk. We have already seen lots of upsets in Copa Del Rey and Real Madrid won't risk another. But the problem is they have to play against Atletico Madrid just 3 days later. Now this is real test for Real Madrid players, they have to advance to quarter finals of Copa and also try to retain first spot in league against tough opponent.

I think both matches will have same Real Madrid squad except 2-3 changes max.

Maintaining the lead at the league should be given more priority tho.  IMHO.  Zidane has to.  I got 10k USD riding on Real getting more points than Barca at the league.  Lolol.

Copa del Rey tonight: Tenerife vs Bilbao...Away win @1.82 odds! (at the time of writing). Hmm, it should be an easy game for Bilbao, Tenerife are doing pretty bad in the 2nd division so, i'm not sure why such odds...Maybe Bilbao will field the kids from the youth academy? lol

With the depth squad we have, it would be too risky to do that. Tbh, I just want Casemiro to get some rest, if he plays both games (which wouldn't surprising since he's one of our key players), then i'm afraid the guy won't be fully fit for the last few weeks of the season.

Yeah reality is if you focus too much on the cup, you may even get an injury on a game even if it is an easy one. Cup is very important for many teams but at the same time, who cares if Madrid loses at this round? Why would it matter for Real Madrid to be not in the cup for a whole year? Nobody would care if they are not the winners because they are not really that important like the rest of the competitions.

League is very very important for them, they started not so well this year and everyone assumed as soon as Ronaldo left they will be horrible and for a while it looked like they were right, Ronaldo was a great player and still is and missing him looked like it would literally set them back for a long time. If they win the league, they will shut all the haters up for sure.

Damn this is very one hell of a bet in my opinion and the stakes are very high. Barcelona are really not playing their best and I believe tokeweed has a very great opportunity to win this supposed bet. Never will i bet such a huge amount of money like this, my heart will not be able to handle it.

^  Careful now...  These 'easy games' are where big clubs make fatal mistakes.  Look at Man City at the EPL.  And Barca isn't exactly invincible this season too.  They've had their share of unexpected losses with the reverse fixture vs Levante being one of them.

Don't be overconfident! Although those are weak teams, it doesn't guarantee at all. You know, Barca is in under pressure and they're probably too eager to win. This sometimes may lead to a draw or loss result if they cannot control their selves well.

I smell a draw in one of the games. I remember someone emphasizing here the other week that the Valencia game was a walk over for Barcelona since Valencia was out of form and had heavily lost to bottom side Mallorca... I guess we all know what happened.

Believe me. I have seen Barca at Mestalla last week. Nothing's safe with this team at this moment. You can expect practically anything from the club that has been in a crisis and now is in the process of rebuilding and returning good vibes. It's still a long way from home for Barcelona.

I think that it was very wrong to sack Valverde.
The problem was not the manager but the fact that the team has become kind of old. (Pretty similar to Real Madrid, during the last seasons). They need to bring young talents and build the team on them, not keep relying on Messi and Suarez.

So maybe the problem is not in team or coach but the mentality of players only. Maybe some kind of phobia have developed when they play outside Camp Nou. Or maybe they have bad away tactics like only attack on counters if not playing at Camp Nou. Or maybe Barca players desperately need fans shouting in support. It can be anything but problem is turning serious.

They have to strictly start following same tactical play both at home and away matches. Also Setien has to develop some gameplan to convert possession into chances. Passing balls hundred times in triangle at half way line doesn't win match, midfielders have to pass balls through defensive line so that front 3 can finish. Also, Griezmann needs to adapt to team as soon as possible. It almost become unbearable to see him standing clueless in off-side position when Messi building attacks.

There’s no doubt that Barcelona have a strong record while playing at home but in recent times they have not been performing well, and I would blame their ex coach Valverde for this as his tactics have ruined the winning mentality that Barcelona once possessed. It’s pertinent to note that Seiten will take a long time to rebuild the players mentality, as it’s not easy to take over a team in the mid season and then suddenly turn them into champions again.

The thing is nobody accepts that the squad is ageing and instead everyone prefers to blame ex coach valverde whenever Barcelona loses.

I think the squad will indeed perform against low blockers, the challenge though is when they face high pressers or squads that demands the ball conservatively like Valencia did to them

We are talking in theory,if Messi misses a game was saying Naida and I replied to him on the suppose that Messi was not to play.

We are used to see Barcelona score more than that against weaker teams,at least I am so maybe we have different point of views regarding the analyze of the game.
