My Sp 20 is disconnecting/ stopping mining for no reason. I have 1300PSU platinum going and it keeps knocking itself offline. The fan is still running so the only way I can tell is when I log into it, which I can't do at that point. I log into my stats page on eligius and I can see I am zero hashing. If I reboot PSU then it comes back on. Seems to be happening between every 4 and 24 hours. Is anyone else having this issue?
I have reset to factory and now trying to run. we will see how this goes.
Exactly what I was having for a few times today. Is it running hot? I moved it to somewhere cold, and it hasn't crashed yet. *touches wood*

In garage. 30 degrees in there. Its not hot to the touch at all. psu wires not hot. I just reset to factory. maybe this will do it. time will tell.

What is the temperature shown in the Asic stat page? i had it in somewhere around 27*C, and it crashed afterwards. It's at somewhere 5*C now, still going with the stats in my last post above.

The max temps are 125*C for each of them. Once it hits 120*C I think they start to throttle themselves. According to what I've read, try keeping them at < 115*C for them to run more stably. I'm suspecting that the high temps in there might've caused the controller board to freeze somehow.

Yellow means too hot! You need to lower voltages to those boards until temps get to about 115.

You go to the settings page and edit there: Start Volts Unit 1(0.58-0.80) etc..

And the max voltage too.

PS: it's in advanced voltage settings. If you want to stick with basic voltage settings, set it down 1 notch of whatever you were setting it before.

*john looks at his sole module running at 120*C*

I swear when I get the time (probably tomorrow or the day after) I'm taking this apart and checking out what's wrong with that specific module. Everything else is running at 85*C ffs.

Mine does the exact same thing...is yours 7: DC2DC/1/ (on LOOP 3)?

nope his is #3 on loop 1

3: DC2DC/1/:[vlt1:699 vlt2:703(DCl:794 Tl:794 Ul:759) 100W 142A  88c] ASIC:[120c (125c) 1050hz(BL:1050)  184 (E:193) F:0 L:0]

variances .. but you can fine tune them.

Mine is 3 on Loop[1]. I had problems with the Loop1 and Loop3 modules running hotter then the Loop 0 and Loop 2 modules. (like the pic posted by Helnick above) I was able to counter this by setting the initial voltage lower for both of them, and putting the entire hashing unit somewhere really cold. LOOP[1] 3 does not improve much though. I suspect it's because the way Loop1 and Loop3 modules were placed inside the box.

Get some flat ones (rackable) Grin they're a little better on the technology scale .. their firmware talks with the PSU's and adapts their parameters via the serial bus.
For the SP20, with external (dumb) power supplies all tinkering is manual.

Agreed, it's a vast improvement over those Avalon/FPGA's/GPU's I've mined on in the past. If this stays constant for a night, I'll be really happy.

lower your watts setting to 250 and drop the  all the volts by .005

you are taxing the psu.

My seasonic  1200 strains to run this  and I have to use lower settings then my evga 1300's
